Re: The road to becoming a smaller toad

Had a sweat with my backer. Went really well, learned some ****, toned down the aggression. Gunna be really selective with opponent selection.
Would have been up around $400 but lost a few buyins to a fish getting coolered.

Also won a small 310 buyin 30 man tourney on Tuesday night and stacked a man 2nd hand of cash for £500 with KK vs god knows.

Re: The road to becoming a smaller toad

Last month was kind of disappointing. Can't really seem to get anything going. Some fish who sit and just run like the sun are really starting to annoy me. Up $500 this month though and pretty close to even for the stake. Looking to put up at least a $4k month. There's a new casino opened near Westfield shopping centre next to the Olympic stadium. Prob gunna head down there for a few days right before Christmas then head to my Dad's for Christmas day. I love Christmas.

Re: The road to becoming a smaller toad

Hey, long time no update.
This year has been pretty busy.
Jan was ****. Had a couple of -1k sessions which really ****ed up what would have been a good month.

Feb was a lot better even though I didn't put in a lot of volume.

This was mainly down to going to Galway, Ireland for the 1st leg of this years UKIPT. Really didn't like Galway, was really much to do. Poker went good. Lost AT v A9 with 30 left in the 6max £100 tourney. Then bubbled the final table of the £150 bounty event. Lost KK v AA flop AAx, and AQ v 99 flop 995 with 10 left and an above average stack.
The main event went terrible. Played like **** even though I had a really good table.
Then I managed to chop the £300 side event for €12.8k. Won QQ v AA v JJ with 7 left and about 7 bb. Then lost AK v A5 3 handed, I had 900k he ahd 350k and the other guy would have had 300k so I would have been massive chip leader vs the table fish.
http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=64232

This month I went back to playing huplo. Games are great and there is tons of action but I'v been getting crushed. Running bad and playing too many tables at once are killing me.

Gunna play the UKIPT in Nottingham next month so will be selling shares in the marketplace. Also gunna be moving out into a flat with another 2+2er and good irl friend who crushes high stakes so i'm super excited about that. It's gunna be near London as well where I got another couple of really close mates who are also great at poker so should be shipping tons of money. Gunna set a new goal of a $100k year. With the tourney bink I've got a nice roll to be able to have money on loads of sites. Games are still ridic good, so just gotta put in the hours.
Rolls about $14k atm, gunna start sitting at 2/4 at 16k, and still looking for a decent mid stakes plo coach. ****ers are hard to find.

Re: The road to becoming a smaller toad

Last month finished ok. Volume was still pretty poor, but i took the last week off to prepare for moving out.

Moved down from the north of England to just outside North London with another 2+2er and good irl friend. Really close to another couple of good friends who are also really good players.

It's all 8 stories of this tower complete with lift.

The living room/grinding room is the only finished room atm as we've only been in a few days. It's right at the top so the views out over London are a joke.

Over to the left is Canary Wharf, the Shard, Olympic stadium etc. Olympic opening ceremony, bonfire night and new years are gunna be ridic.

As I said, I haven't really had a lot of time with the move so this is all I've played this month.

Decided not to play the UKIPT as everything is just too hectic and there's too much stuff to do.

Re: The road to becoming a smaller toad

Sup guys, long time no update. Got nearly everything sorted in the new house. Internet was a bit of a botch job and sky only got put in a couple weeks ago, but it's working out ok. Pokers going pretty well. Games are a joke and there's plenty of them. Played some ROE at a local casino by the Olympic stadium the other night. Thought is was going to be £1/2 PLO but turned out to be £1/2/4/8 ROE, biggest game I've played in by far. It turned out that I pretty much won every NL hand I was in, and just playing nitty in PLO. Fullring PLO confuses me a lot, especially when 7/9 players are whales. Some of the whales commented on how I didn't look like I knew what I was doing but i'm pretty sure I had a significant edge on the field. Ended up bout £600 or so, flopped some boats and that.
Online has been really good.

This is since I moved out. Plus around £3k on non tracked sites. Been playing a fair amount of €2/4 and been sitting at $3/6.
