Ηey prof, firstly I think the massacre was a set up by the usa goverment who gives away rifles for all. Secondly, this is a hand I played today and it hurt a bit. These two are hardcore nits although I don't have many hands on them, they opener is sth like 12/8 over ~30 hands. Do u like the play? I thougth I could get him off very strong hands, even the one he held.
Meanwhile another simiral hand emerged vs an ultranit of 10/8 over ~40 hands. Do u find it spewy? I somehow feel devastated I couldn't own their tight souls...
I dont mind the sqz against the nits, altho they have very tight ranges, so no real reason to attack them. if you get called, dont cbet, they prob arent folding. I would also check back turn with fd coz we have 0% FE almost always since nit called 3b - prob strong hand, nit XC flop in 3b pot, prob strong hand. but w/e cant be that bad i guess
second hand I wouldnt 3b pre. we cant value 3b the ultra nit and dont want to get it in so makes no sense
^^^ after the nit calls the flop i think ur done there or even when they call turn its over , cant make them fold good hands.against nits i ussually just cbet flop if they call the hand is over for me if i have air.
Ιt seems you and Kaos are right about those 10/8ish guys, they very rarely fold turn and almost never river after calling the cbet in RR pots. It's just the extra equity that made me push them to their limits but next time i'll go for the free card.
Don't you think this depends on fact if he calls 3bets OOP? Like I rather 3bet 89s than 7Js vs a guy who calls to 3bets, and vs a guy who only folds or 4bets I rather have blockers.
You'd better raise more value hands vs some1 who calls a lot. Kaos suggests 7Js instead of 89s cause we can just profitably flat call with big sc's vs some1 who opens a lot.
ye if someone calls 3bets, I wont be 3betting J7s or 89s since that would be a bit silly lol
J7s will play better than 89s because imo its generally better to be able to flop some sort of pair to GTSD with in 3b pots.
89s barely ever flops any decent equity and you need to go crazy to show a profit against anyone calling a lot pre and getting sticky postflop.
if we flop TP with 89, it isnt as good as TP with J7. like 722r, we might beat his 78s or on J25r, we might beat his TT.
It seems unlikely we can ever outflop anyone with our 89s and we can call with that pre and look to attack wide ranges postflop and we have a blocker.
I 3b depolarised for value against anyone flatting a lot 3bets OOP, since they are generally bad. Not to say good players wont flat OOP from time to time but I mean a fair amount.
