Equity is horrible and you can't raise his donk bets 100% and barrel off just because he's capped. Especially not if your playing 39/30.
how is equity horrible?
two overs vs his continuing range aint too bad plus I can barrel K/Q turns for value and he might look me up lighter since those are scare cards that shudnt actually hit me that much
think he is a winner @ 100nl fwiw so he def hasa fold btn
So since your entire range is either a pair or two overs or a draw on the flop you are either raising or calling his donkbet 100%? Seems like that's gunna be pretty hard for him to adjust to if he beats 100nl.
This is a thread I like a lot Keep playing... and posting!
ty I will

So today I learned about polarised and depolarised cbetting ranges (polarized and depolarized for the weird audience )
Pretty complex subject and hard to get my head round but has revolutionised (revolutionized for the weirdo's) how I approach poker. I'm going to re-watch the video tomorrow and throw a few lines in here to get help with if all y'all are down for it
Blind play, 3betting, maximising (or maximizing 4 weird folk) EV, has all improved greatly. It's funny coz this is a bit like the stuff I figured out a little in my head on my own and it's actually all the rage for agro players, so it has me convinced/hooked and relieved that I can actually learn it properly instead of just coming up with random **** and it failing lol
Played another 2 sessions. I spewed like a bitch in the first one but played like a boss in the second one, although it didn't really go my way.
Feel like I am improving at a previously unknown rate
I feel like playing LAG is all about going after leaks like a TAG wouldn't, e.g. continually 3betting a guy who folds to much to 3bets until hes confronted with it and your in his face and he knows he has no adjust which forces him to play your game e.g. begin to 4b bluff/4b lighter for value/call more 3bets in which case you can hopefully own him in these spots :P

Looking good!
it is exactly what we need to be watching sromy. and that is the exact definition of LAG. Its like, we sacrifice equity and some EV, to pound on whatever weaknesses we can find.
like you said, just 3b 3b 3b when they wont fold. then when they start getting 4b monkey boots on, just change our range to PP's and start jamming on them every time we get those, 3b and face a 4b.
He talks about what to look for in bad players. people who dont use position well, play too face up on the turn, we can just flat really wide OOP and reverse float and bang up rivers.
or flatting IP and raising tons of boards until they have to adjust, if they evn do.
I knew a lot of this roughly but he takes it to the needed level for me. explaining it properly.
Ive only watched 3 eps and learnt more in those than all my videos ive ever watched.
Im eating breakfast right now but im gonna watch ep 3 soon and post some strat I want help with, so plz help me
Absolutely loving this so far, Mike. The first post had me giggling a little and the content has been pretty good thus far. I think it would be pretty awesome if you linked us to some of the stuff you have been watching/reading so that we can come to terms with a lot of the stuff you've been referring to (such as the Apex Predator stuff, even though I found that myself).
Also, I think it would be good to post some losing (spewy) hands and hands where you've been put in tough spots. Perhaps even post them in the hand analysis section and just link us to them in this thread?
Good luck anyway. I've subbed and rated so hopefully you get a few more stalkers (not for the tits and fanny though, just for the content obvs).

Thanks dude
All I have been learning atm is apex pred but I am gonna make some notes and maybe make up some examples to talk guff about. just opened the 3rd ep there now so will update when I'm done.
I'll def post some losing/spewy hands I need help with since I now have some boss's following!
My prob with posting them in uNL is I will prob just get a bunch of lol fold pre's but fk it w/e, guess I'll test it out and link in here, maybe get a few lolz

Hero had Q, A (full house, Aces over Queens).
UTG had 8, 8 (two pair, Aces and eights).
Outcome: Hero won $7.75
This G got banged on
(3rd barrel ftw)
(no he check raises turn with sets so I usually got some outs. maybe check behind and take my 10 outer vs weak mid pair/ 7outer vs TP/4outer vs sets but w/e. was sort of sure he 3bets flop with sets and obv XR turn with them since board is getting sickky, so i bet da riva knowing he does standard call/call/ FU line.

Hero had A, 10 (high card, Ace).
Outcome: Hero won $16.64
This one of these spots I am learning about. This guy cbets around 60%, so I think he cbetting polarised. Basically, he isnt cbetting with a high enough frequency to have lots of medium strength hands in his range. If it were in the 70%+ range, he would need to be betting all his random pairs and trash to get it that high.
This to me, means he would maybe check back ace hi, medium pairs and some low equity hands. therefore he is nutted or bluffing mostly and all I have to do is XR once and give up. I use this hand since I got a GS and maybe my 6 is good if i hit it since he probly isnt bet/calling anything that would hit a str8 ott on the 4str8 card. I need a hand like this because when he bet calls, his range is so strong that I need to bink a 4 outer to improve to the best hand. vs a depolarised bet/calling range, I could check raise overs or w/e be more likely to improve to the best hand. vs a polarised cbetting range, I could very well improve to a second best hand and lose a bunch of money!

Hero had 6, 6.
Outcome: Hero won $2.61
On the other hand, this guy looks like he is pretty stabby and I think he bets any piece on this board to "take it down" rather than check behind and play it optimally. so i use this hand because I got 2 overs and can barrel off multiple turns and some rivs. I like check raise better because I got to see what SB did first and I know da regs suck facing this kind of heat mw. hence the ATo bang bang previously
