Pyramid Challenge

Fun Facts
----------
1) I have $10 at PokerStars.
2) I have no friends.
3) I have no job.
4) I'm living in a Motel 6 in Reno, NV.
5) My car is in the repair shop.
6) I have $3,000 left to my name.
7) 2+2 is cool for adding this new forum.

The Challenge
---------------
I will play any MTT (mainly turbo SNGs) I have at least 100 BIs for. The only exception to this rule is Ts with a BI of $0.10 or less. I can play those until I'm broke. I'll also play freerolls.

Each month, I will withdraw 10% of my bankroll and use that to live on. 50% of what I withdraw will be used to stay at the most expensive hotel/casino I can afford with that money for one month. For example, if my BR is $20k, I can withdraw $2k at the end of the month, and stay at the most expensive hotel I can with $1k for a month.

The challenge will end when I can spend a month at the top of the Luxor Pyramid for one month. After that, I'll buy a house in Las Vegas.

For the most part, I'll be regging 30 Ts per hour; 10 at :00, 10 at :15, and 10 at :30. I won't play too many Ts that have less than 45 players, since those have no breaks.

Any money people send to me, I'll have to send back, as that would soil the purity of the challenge.

The Pyramid Challenge begins on 2010.05.16 at 00:00 UTC (about 10 hours from now).

Re: Pyramid Challenge

Is this a joke?
Even if u have a 20k roll and therefore can spend 1k on living, it will probably be just enough to stay at a motel. How do you pay for a motel/hotel until you hit 20k? If you only grind SNGs this would be nearly impossible, but MTTs (especially at the micro limits) have such huge variance that you will most likely bust your bankroll within a few days...

Re: Pyramid Challenge

It can be done. Like I said, I have about 2 months worth of hotel rent money left. 2 months is plenty of time to build up to $20k.

Re: Pyramid Challenge

Seriously, what's wrong with you? Quotes below plus the dozens of challenges and times you say your quitting this and playing that etc..

You need to quit poker, see a psychiatrist and sort your life out.

Or, it would be awesome if someone staked you into the WSOP and filmed the entire thing. I can just imagine you explaining your new hexagonal 0.000001 to $1m challenge.

That's technically true, 0 x 10 = 0.

Re: Pyramid Challenge

take 2k and put it on red IMO, if you win u have 1k for poker bankroll and an extra 1k for living

there is no possible way that u can lose this IMO

if you do you have 1k with which to go out in style

If it's so easy to make 20k in 2 months, why are u living in a motel with only 3k cash right now?
