Re: PLO from the bottom up

I must have seriously offended the poker gods. Whatever I have the board flops the complete opposite. The best I am getting flopped is a gutshot and I am not chasing that without any other re-draws. If I hit a flush, the board pairs, if I have two pair then the straight or flush comes in. It is just hand after hand after hand after hand after hand after hand after hand after hand. I know they don't have it every time but when I call it at sd they always do. I bluff, I get found out.

I just don't know where to go with my play. Tried loosening up, tightening up, aggroing it up and nothing work

Rant over. Please no "that's plo" bull**** comments. I know it is and I know runbad in plo is the devil, but telling me that does not help.

Really need someone to do a sweat with me and just critic my pre flop and turn play. Feel I am folding way too much on the turn but if you have no piece of the board, you have no piece.

Re: PLO from the bottom up

gl op, although I dont suggest grinding PLO. rake is WAY too high at the nanos and 99% unbeatable. ive tried the nano plo grind and it's taking me nowhere, whereas a 10 bb/100 winrate can be achieved at NL. gl anyway.

Re: PLO from the bottom up

Cheers dillchips. Know what you are saying, but am playing to improve as much as make a profit. I think plo will be the next logical step for tv poker as interest in nlhe tails off. As that happens there will hopefully be more and more fish (like I am at the moment). I want to be most step ahead. Plo plays on a higher level so gives the old grey matter a better work out.

Oh and my run bad has been on zoom. Look at your goals you utter tool.

Re: PLO from the bottom up

stay clear from zoom, it is much more difficult to play. i played a normal table game the other day and made a killing on it. i feel the variance in zoom 10times more when i play it

just keep persevering and it will be worth it in the end

Would be grateful for some thoughts on this one.

Not a great hand I know, but really I want some thoughts on whether I should have called the turn or not. I am only hoping the board pairs, am I getting the right price to see that card and flop on the flop to another bet?

Sorry not got back to you had a 40th birthday and a wedding at weekend so only managed a short session last night. Will take you up on your kind offer in due course. Need to get the software (any recommendations?) and work out a time.

Re: PLO from the bottom up

Anyone else find that the closer you get to clearing a bonus on stars, the more it seems like you get setup to fail. Lost 3 bi over the last 500 hands being river ratted. Am 79 vpp from clearing a $10 and £10 bonus. Paranoid I know, but sure feels that way.

Anyhow, things not going great and feel I am regressing again. Will post an interesting hand later as want to see if you all had the same read.
