Yeah - not the strongest. 4 left now. I'm still the shortest stack but I have 29BBs and I feel like a good read on the table.

Funny how all the big stacks managed to attack each other and let the shortstack(you) get so far:P well done tbh!

I'm out in 4th. Thank you to those who railed and supported. Made a thin call on the last hand with AQo and lost a race v 66. I levelled myself into calling - not sure what the ICM is on it yet but I think villain's range was pretty wide as he was opening 50% of hands and I had 3 bet him several times.

Delighted with my run - bagged $2,268. Will update thread in a bit on current bank balances.

Now time to enjoy the Euros!

A good day

Really happy with today's results - the 4th in the Big $33 is actually my biggest ever score. I'm not sure about my final hand in the Big $33 so I've posted it in the mid-stakes forum: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/18...-life-1208607/

I also came 4th in an ipoker $7r for $300 - again losing with Aqo.

Latest graph:

Session profit: $2,315.20
2012 profit: $9,167.20

Next session will probably be on Sunday as I am off to watch the football at a mate's house tomorrow.

No poker this week, shed loads for the rest of June

I ended up having a mate around to watch the football on Sunday so I didn't manage any poker this weekend. Might be a bit of a dry spell for poker over the next week as it's my last week in my current job so I have a fair few leaving meals / drinks to attend, the football to watch and I am playing in a football tournament in Cornwall this weekend.

However, I am ridiculously excited for the second half of June as I have managed to get a 2 week gap before starting my new job and my intention is to live the life of a proper grinder (just with a lower ABI). I am hoping to fit in at least 10 sessions from 19 June to end of the month and I will make sure I keep this thread up to date then.

In other news:

COME ON ENGLAND!

Re: Trying to raise most of my first house deposit from poker - target $40k (>10% of the way th

Today I played the first of what I hope to be many sessions over the next 2 weeks as I'm in between jobs. Only played in a handful of tournaments as I don't want to get be playing close to the England game this evening plus I'm still knackered from the football tournament in Cornwall I went to over the weekend.

Had a good session overall - came 3rd in the ipoker $2r for $232 - got 2 outered for what would have effectively been the win. I also almost got a monster stack in the Big $33 again but lost a flip QQ < AKs. Happy with how I played today which sets me up for what I hope will be a huge session tomorrow.

Today:

Today's profit: $130
2012 Profit: $9,297

I played two short sessions during the day yesterday and today. Nothing to really write home about - made two FTs but I wasn't able to push into the top 2. A bit frustrated at losing a hand worth about $200 icm wise just now with 88 < 55 aipf. I've made a small profit though so no complaints. Tomorrow will be a massive grind.

Graph from last two days:

Session(s) profit: $65
2012 Profit: $9,362

Played 20 tournaments or so this morning. Really pleased with how I played. As the number of participants is much smaller at this time of day it I made 3 final tables. Ran badly on the two big ones - finishing 6th in an IPoker $11r and 9th in the $55 twister on 888 to a couple of ugly suck outs but I did do in a small ipoker $11, finishing 3rd for $180. Delighted with another session in the black:

Off for a run now and I will get back on the grind this evening. I also posted a hand from this morning in the midstakes forum which may be of interest:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/18...erbet-1213783/

Session profit: $201
2012 profit: $9,563

1/3 now. Tough table. I made a complete hash of a hand but won a flip to get my chips back.

Lost a big flip in the end. Came 3rd for $650. Will post my graph later as I still have a couple of tourneys on the go.

High Society

A good session this evening. A bit annoyed with myself for playing poorly 3 handed in the Monsoon but happy with my results. I am even more happy at reaching $10k for the year so far. This is actually quite a big landmark for me. When I first got into poker I watched all of the ESPN WSOP Main Event episodes on my computer and dreamt one day of playing in it. $10k became my target and I told myself that if I made it I would cash out every single penny of my winnings and buy a main event entry with them. That was several years ago now and my priorities (and my poker ability!) have moved on. It still feels great to know that I could buy that entry with my bankroll. It also feel great to know that:

A. I have made it into 5 figures for this year
B. We're 25% of the way there
C. It looks beautiful:

Session graph:

Session Profit: $445
2012 Profit: $10,008

I'll be playing most of tomorrow so will hopefully have another positve update to post then.

Re: Trying to raise most of my first house deposit from poker - target $40k (>10% of the way th

Been playing for a little over an hour now and I can honestly say that was the worst run of luck I've ever had in poker. I've pretty much busto everything and some of them have been appalling suckouts - I had forgotten how bad the Saturday crowd is. I particularly enjoyed a fish calling off 25% of his stack with 72o and flopping 2 pair v my AA. I've unregged every tournament I was going to play this afternoon and will take a break. Hopefully the run bad will have disappeared after my break.

Will post graph later - think I just dropped about $200.

Today was brutal. I'll be the first to admit I didn't play particularly well but I don't think I have ever run that badly in a session:

Sessio profit: -$448
2012 profit: $9,560

Will try to play in the morning tomorrow before getting ready for the England game.
