I'm looking at taking poker seriously again, rather than just messing around on a Saturday night with a couple a hundred dollars.

I'm probably gonna start at NL25 or NL50 and start playing a few Zoom tables or about 6/8 normal 6max tables.

Peoples opinions on 6max vs full ring??

I've always played 6max so I'll keep going with that. I would like to play some heads up too, perhaps once I move up a few stakes.

I won't have much time to play because I'm working full time (45 hours per week), studying at TAFE (which is included in my work hours because I'm an apprentice), I play 1st grade cricket and have a beautiful girlfriend who I love to spoil.

So maximising the use of my little spare time will be essential. I can guarantee that there will be weeks where I don't play poker or don't update my thread. I'm looking at buying a new computer too, setting up HEM and grinding like a mofo.

Oh yeah. I should probably add a little bit of poker background information.

I've been playing for about 5 years. I started at home games and pub tourneys, then moved to online.

I took it seriously for about 6 months and ended up making a few grand out of it. I took one huge run at turning pro about a year ago. I started with 500 and ran it up to about 3500 before coming crashing back to reality. If I had of been able to sustain that bankroll I was going to quit my job and play poker while still at university.

That didn't happen.

So I took a break from poker for about 2 months. Then got back into it.

Since then I have dropped out of University and managed to land a pretty sweet full time job. SO Ive been making pretty good money and not playing much poker for the last 6-8 months.

I apologise for the walls of text. I will try to keep my updates short and to the point. Once I get HEM working I will be able to provide some sweet graphs for us all to masturbate over together.

OK so I was playing on my tablet the other day and got a bit carried away. Lol. I was 2 tabling NL100 Zoom. I didn't play very well. I lost the money I had online.

I just bought my new computer like an hour ago.

I'm still at work for another 2 hours, then I'm gonna go home and get it goin.

I'm gonna install HEM, (I purchased it on my old computer, do I need a code or something to put it on my new one?) and then I'll request my entire hand history from Pokerstars and load it all in.

And then I can see the grossness of my online poker career to date.

You will clearly be able to see where I took it seriously and where I didn't. Its gonna be ugly.

I loaded them into HEM while I was asleep last night.

Why play so high stakes? You should focus on your game and try to beat the micros first.

So I just finished my first session back playing properly. I played 2 tables of NL25 Zoom and did very well. I definitely ran well, starting hand wise.

Its hard with no database on any of these players. SO I have no reads at all. I guess I just gottsa play.

I'll post some hands below that I thought were interesting.

Well I was just playing poker for fun so I didnt really care. I have a pretty good job.

Well those first ~100k hands are from around december 2009 - February when I was playing NL10-25 seriously.

Then I just played the next 20k hands on and off since then. I played on another site for most of last year. Probs about 80k hands.

So that graph is really spaced over about 2.5 years lol.
