I don't know how much EV I'm "burning," but I'm making 9.5bb/hr over ~1200 hours at 1/2, 1/3, 2/5 and 5/5, despite a 400+ hour break-even stretch, so take my thoughts for whatever they're worth to you.

I'm not saying I'm the smartest player in the world, and I'm not saying you need to ever do this to crush the games... But, doing it OCCASIONALLY, in the right spots, at the right times, does not make you a massive fish like everyone seems to think.
If there are 50 characteristics/traits/etc that define a successful llsnl player, having a balanced opening range from EP MIGHT be number 55

I definitely said a few posts back it wasn't important/necessary. I wouldn't call it balanced, either. It's too rare to call it balance - just meta game.

The main point is making an occasional -EV play in a vacuum that's slightly -EV but causes others to make bigger -EV mistakes against you is not cause to assume someone is a huge fish, degen, etc. That's really it. If DGI does this frequently, it's obviously a leak. Once every few days or something is defensible.

I really just hate to see people ripping him and his game to shreds when he's not around to defend himself, that's all.

People just open a NVG thread already.

Stop disgracing and cluttering up dgiharris' thread.

So...let me get this straight.

Open up junk UTG, then show it?

Or play it to SD?

Or fold before SD to bets, then show it?

Or bluff, then show it?

I mean, how exactly do you balance UTG range in most cases?

My opinion is that you gotta learn from your mistakes, grow as a person, and move on. I've made many stupid mistakes in my life but hopefully I'm smart enough to not repeat the same ones.

All I've done since the incident a year ago is travel a lot, gain a lot of life experience, work my ass off at the tables and make six figures. Your post doesn't bother me. I wish you (and everyone else) success.

I don't think DGI is a conman or a scammer or anything of that sort.

I think he earnestly believes he is a crusher. Which is normal for poker players.

63 off is the Big Dallas, though.....

Last night I was playing in a wild 2/5 game. I was nitting it up and was card dead. I was dealt 63 hearts utg which I normally snap fold. I thought of dgi and balancing so I raised to $25. The button, a very tight nit re raised to $80. To disguise my hand, I just called. Flop came K45 rainbow. I fired out $105. Villain re raised $225 additional. I went all in for $1700. Villain snap called w KK. Turn 9, river 2. Ship it! Thanks Dgi! Without this thread and watching your LATB appearance I would have never made this advanced play. Screw the haters. Any 2 can win in this game. I get it now.

Oh you did!

Clearly he played his A-game there.

However, had he bricked, he was playing his F-game.
