1 – At first it went really good. Had only 2 peepauses in between of like 5 minutes and a big pause after like 4 hours.


First 2k hands went up straight but then I was breakeven with my showdownwinnings for the rest of the session which dragged me down a lot.

3 – sessionanalysis and watched a video. Will rewatch some more videos tomorrow and take more notes on them. Also I will have to do atleast 2 opponent analysis.

Day 8

Somewhat short grinding day, since I had a lot of IRL stuff to do. Running in the green for a change which at the first half of the grind didnt seem possible.



1 – So I am 1 hour and 20 minutes short for today. Will regrind that no matter what. Tomorrow I will take my first offday for the challenge (3 were planned), since I am meeting up with a girl I used to date some time ago.


2 – $47,07 rake today, $510,61 rake total

3 – I did analyse 2 opponents and shockingly, they play super predictable eventho I thought they were decent.

They just dont fold any A+broadways vs 3bets, are suspicious and somewhat stationy with overcards until the riv and be betting very straight forward without any stabbing at the pot. Will keep on doing this.

4 – Bankroll now at $408,60 because another increment of the FDB was released.

This day was just great. I could really feel it right from the start when I woke up that my brain was…. “functioning”.

Hit the Gym in the morning right after breakfast and then did pokertheory. I really dug into my material for blindstealing and focussed on SB and BU stealing spots that I left out. After that I went into a 3 hour grind, and then later did another 4 hours.



I realised that I had been slacking hard on steals eventho I watched and rewatched all the stealing stuff and reminded myself. But today I really hammered it in and focussed on it a ton (even when I didnt steal because the action was too fast, I quickly realised it that I should have stolen in that spot and that this was a mistake).

It really shows in my redline too, compared to the other days where I was half assing that part. Usually I loose around 40$-70$ just from my redline.

Today it was only 30$. I will pay attention to it in the upcoming dates and see if it really changed that much or if its just the small sample.



1 – Grinded 7 hours straight. No pauses in between which might be a mistake. Tomorrow will be the freeday because I am seeing a date. (I messed that up in the last post. Its actually on monday ^^).

Today I talked to an assistant of the page because I reached the required amount of rake to be applying for a rakebackdeal for this month.

I will probably get the info on how much RB% I will get tomorrow or on tuesday. Am really excited about it because it will boost things up quiet a bit.

Day 10 (and my free day)

welcome back. Had a really ****ed up free day which wasnt relaxing at all. I went to the date, slept with her a couple of times and then she started going more and more into feelings.

I usually have no problem with that but I told her straight from the beginning that I am not available for that kind of relationship at the moment. So I was awake at her place until like 6am, then went home, started sleeping at like 7am until 1pm which always snaps my **** up because once I wake up after 12 o clock, I feel like dirt.

If that wasnt enough, my ex gf that I dumpet uploaded a photo with another dude on FB that I usually wouldnt have seen because I dont surf that much but a friend messaged me about it. Eventho I know all the reasons logically why I dumped her and why she is no good for me, it still somewhat gets to me. Guess it will be that for just a couple of days.

Was at the gym at both days obviously. Not missing a single day since the start of the challenge, going 6 days a week.

Poker went good today. Managed to get in those 8 hours of play within two 4 hour sections. Didnt even had to use the restroom in between which is rare.

Anyway let’s get into the update:



1 – Amped up from 7 hours to 8 hours a day like I mentioned in my previous post.

3 – Reviewed about 25 hands that I marked within the timeframe of the last 5 days. Still got about 10 left to do for tomorrow.

8 hours 25nl!

Can’t really say that I am safe on the limit but atleast my shot didnt get busted this time

What really suprises me is that I almost pay the same rake playing 8 hours 10nl then I do with 8 hours 25nl. I mean I knew it somewhat because rake is lower...

5c/10c blinds and below = 1c per 10c
10c/25c and 25c/50c blinds = 1c per 20c

..but that it is almost identical was a suprise.

Anyway this was one of the hardest, in terms of motivation and dedication, sessions for me this challenge. I played 8 hours straight because I started at 5pm which is super late but couldnt start earlier cuz of reallife stuff. I so often had the thought in my mind to stop to wake up earlier tomorrow but I stuck to it. Sticking to the process at all cost!

Anyway here is the update. Gotta crash into bed

2 – $71,62 rake today, $700,44 rake total



3 – Defenetly too short. Was only reviewing a couple of hands for like 15 minutes because time was rare today. Gotta redo that tomorrow.

honestly I have no clue why my cashier tells me this, eventho this was a winningsession. Anyway *** it, I cant bother with that right now. 60% of the next 25$ increment were done today so tomorrow will be a 1BI boost again.

Day 12

Did play about 7 hours at 25nl, went up and down from a high of +3BI until I hit -4 BI which is the stop of my shot. I then had 1 hour more to play so I went on the 10nl tables and could regrind 5 BI there + I got 1 increment of the bonus so at the end of the day I am down 1 BI.




1- Solid 8 hours and 20 minutes with one peepause of 5 minutes. Getting somewhat where I want my daily ratio to be. Now I really gotta work on playing those 8 hours with more focus. I am often doing something else by the side. Also my notetaking could improve by a good bunch because I mostly can only really use notes and adapt to players when I analyse them after.




2 – $85,82 rake today, $786,26 rake total


3 – Did a great opponent analysis and some handreviews today totaling ~45 minutes.



4 – Bankroll now at $528,15
Dropped 1 BI. Probably will continue the 25nl shot tomorrow. Again did finish about 40% of the next increment (25$) of the bonus.

Well I try to make pauses in between but that wasnt possible in the last 2 days, as I could only start playing very late (like 4-5pm) so if I wanted to go to bet pre 2am, I had to stick to one big session and grab something to eat while timebanking on some tables Always keeping hydrated and well slept.

now Why the *** am I doing this challenge?
- get myself to stick to a project and dont be a dabbler that gives up/slacks after a few days or once he hit a plateu (like I am atm with my shots at 25nl that get repelled now the 4th time). I keep at it and try to advance and learn which should be no problem as 25nl is mostly as bad as 10nl on my site. If not even worse

- show myself that I am able to be self-reliant!!!

- advance to higher limits to finally get deeper in the theory. At my current limit, there is not much depth to the game as they play pretty recreational. I now learn a good deal about playing fish but thats about it.

- get in a process oriented mindset. Getting away from resultsoriented thinking which I am currently on a very good way. If you play 8 hours total and loose like 8 BI in the first 2 hours but know "well.. there is 6 hours more to come" you just realise that it is not that big of a deal at all.

Day 13 (and my free day)

So I now had my 4th shot at 25nl and it got repelled within like 50 hands by preAI with KK vs AK and 2pair against better 2pair :/.

Really demotivating to put in all this time and get repelled again and again. But then again Ive moved up more then 1 limit up per month and am already shotting at 25nl. So that might also be a good sign.

Anyway lets shoot the update:

1- A little more then usual. I guess its going to take atleast 1 more day to get back to shotting at 25nl again if not more. We will see. So far my theory hours and playhours have been good.



2 – $73,88 rake today, $855,39 rake total


3 – Rewatched 2 videos of a 6max series and took notes. Reviewed a couple of hands. At the moment it bothers me that I just work on keeping my strategy together rather then learning really new things but since I am not applying everything perfectly, I think it might be the right way.



4 – Bankroll now at $483,12 . Includes 1 bonus increment of 25$.

Getting less and less hands in as I cut down on the tables after day 14. It really shows up in my redline when I play less tables as I am able to keep the redline straight up at 0 and my blue line going up as usual. I really have to look, if that will be more profitable in the long term. Will defenetly only play 4 to max 6 tables on my next 25nl shot.



1 – Had another 25nl shot for exactly 2 minutes… Yes thats right. Built up to 150bb stack pretty fast at one table and then busted with 99 vs JJ on J9x. Whatever gonna keep going. This really looks like I wont make it to a stable 25nl base within this challenge but there is still 5 days left and I have hope! I wont give up in this challenge no matter what! Got all the hours in that I needed.



2 – $59,75 rake at 17th, $52,80 at 18th, $967,94 rake total

Seems like I will be hitting the milestone rakemark tomorrow that I envisioned :P



3 – Doing the Cbet homework of “double your 6m winrate” in my other blog and analysing my session for the day.

Day 16



Today was a horrible lifewise. First woke up to some nightmares about my ex-gf and then I ate something that made me really sick for the first half of the day and did my gymworkout kinda halfass. After I got it all out of my system and slept another 1 1/2 hours in the afternoon I was ready to grind.

I got the confirmation that I get rakebackpayment which at the moment will be at $119,70.



I really focussed now and only played 6 tables. I could really see the difference especially in my nonshowdowns winnings that usually cut deep into my greenline.

I had to stop after 5 1/2 hours because I really felt sick and wasnt playing decent no more which is also shown in the graph.



1 – Only 5 1/2 hours but I think that it is quiet decent for a day that I would (in my usual job) call it a day off and recover.

3 – Did nothing today. Couldnt manage to focus anymore.
