I played very solid yesterday this night I stopped cause was too much on B-C game.

H1)

The guy seemed to have started to get very agro vs. me. I think the way to adjust is to go more depolarized - don't think this play is winning a lot or losing a lot vs. his 5-b range

His small cbet is actually pretty often a very nice hand he wants to induce and I kind of catched the bite. I don't think ppl. often cbet here stuff like broadway offsuits as a bluff so my raise sucks even it looks pretty okay. River I though if I best have usually here a hand like A5 I would generally be folding so hitting a hand high like this I made a call. I think he might have stuff like AQ AK otr. he turns to bluff though his sizing looks like he wants value

Not my standard squeeze I occasionally do it with low suited gapper hands if one of the guys has high F3bet. It's getting kind of marginal on the river but the guy can easily have ton of AQ, AJ, T9 stuff so I ain't folding this on the turn. Facing a river shove on a brick would make me probably want to look at my range and say I could have like JJ here and make a fold w. this. I'm just perceived on a real (? real not a draw) hand and don't expect ppl. to try bluff me off.

Flop x is a mistake we have a ton of value and no reason to balance anything in our range by checking + villain will not generally give us value with his air + it even looks more like a middlestrenght hand than a bet + we don't save money vs. his nuts cause we are going with this generally anyways. Turn I don't get my sizing. River is fine the midpairs fold anyway and 2/3p will give Kx headache but guess 1/2 looks more like Ax and will get a lot folds. Pretty lol hand by villain

Vs. fish. He snap x river so his handstrenght didn't improve like 60% of the time. I think going for value is not too thin but check folding once we bet this sizing sucks cause it could induce if he is agro. Anyhow x/ship bluffing rivers is more a thing some regs do fish are generally kind of more scared money and play straightforward. Anyhow I think if we bet 70d I can fold to shove happily + get value from same range I now try to target.

i'd bet turn with T9s in h2, pretty good turn for our range, and you can always decide river instead trying to play guessing game vs his b/c/b range.

with KK I probably just jam or check back. betting small with that spr sucks since if you get pile you are almost never good but have to call due to lol potodds

yeah agree with T9 but flop raise is kind of player dependent (what we expect him to cbet) whether it's good or not. Anyhow not a bad choice as a bluff and turn would be pretty good for our range as mentioned.

Yes I forgot the SPR when I said b/fold 70d on KK (Lol!). Actually jamming seems okay or check back, EV is probably similar in the long run -> so to cut the variance x back imo.

Vs. reg I don't know much about. Preflop I'm not 100% sure we can call here or not but have been experimenting and feel like I can improvise quite a lot in position which prolly lifts the EV. Flop I want protex // get him off bluffs (very hard for him to x/call even A2s on the flop imo.) River think almost no one bluffs here can rep 89ss 99 + am at the bottom of my range ship it.

                  Thanks banana!

Yeah, had 1 week off, was the weekend at my friends summer appartment which was good as well as my trip.

Had a bit hangover today but started grinding, lost 1,8k at nl200. Two times AK vs AA pre all in and general runbad. I run analysis to the biggest pots with snowie and according to it my blunders were more like making too tight folds so I guess I was playing quite well. The playerpool was also very reg heavy so a higher variance is also expected - if I start getting too stressed or run under 10k I'm going back to 100nl only. Atm. my roll is like 13k eur even I spent around 1k at Prague, bought a new watch and clothes. I actually hate shopping but it was a great opportunity there (cheaper and no hurry + very litely people at the mall so I liked it.... I'll move to Thailand at the end of august or start of september. Saving 20k before that would be great and doable I think. If I have over 10k I'm def. going.

                  ------------

                  H) One of my leaks was overvaluing top pair h-strenght on mono text. Anyhows here snowie says it's a call. I just think villain has most of the time hand like AK w/o heart that just wants to stack off or the KQ w heart blocker or the KQ nut flush also possible. I'm still not sure yet we should be calling or not. I guess the EV is similar to folding and to cut variance fold is okay.

I managed to cut the losses to -1k. Played 7h which was too much, my game dropped to C-game // felt frustrated just snap clicking and not paying enough attention and taking my time. Maybe just cause of hangover + full of mosquito bites that are super itching.

H1) Snowie says bluff river 100% but I'm not sure. I can get him off splits that's for sure + some A7ss. Tbh. I kind of more think of x/calling but still can have like QQ and don't expect him to bluff much so it's then a bluff or x/fold w. this. Prolly very similar EV. I was shocked how little -EV it seems to 4bet the small pocket pair preflop these positions.

A few factors why I would lean towards folding:

                      1) we block bluffs
                      2) fish don't like that much overbet shove bluffing (generally)

Preflop I want better playability espc. deeper to 4bet. Flop likely a cbet turn is good for his range we want to check this. Like I can not B/call AA on this turn so why I want to bet there? It opens to be a good spot to jam a hand like 87ss as bluff cause it's hard imo to b/call overpair but we don't know how often he does it. Still a good card / better card for his range. Snowie says AA is here check 75% 25% bet. Yes he has much more straights sets and stuff we should do a lot checking.

Do you deviate much from Snowie's pre-flop ranges, or is there not much scope to do that at 100NL/200NL, due to the player pool being pretty tough? I ask because I play very similarly to Snowie pre-flop at 25NL/50NL, and it makes me feel like such a nit, as other regs seem to have a higher VPIP on the button in particular.
(I don't have a problem with being perceived as nit, btw. I just wonder how much more I could win by going looser than the Snowbot).

Generally if I play my A-game with 3-tables I play looser ranges than 4 tables and B-game. It's just concentration "leak" which also leads to my winrate dropping. Every table is different and whether you can have +EV open with 45s from utg is just table dependant. If I play my A-game I'm checking it out whether the 45s is an open but if my B-game I autofold too much. I'm much more intuitive player / have talent on handreading based on timingtells, spotting sizing tells etc. good spots to do things. Anyhow it's important to know numbers like when someone's fold to steal or fold to cbet are too high you can start doing very heavy exploits. I don't think it matters realy if you overfold a little bit from BB or if you don't open slightly +EV hands from utg at 50nl because ppl. have huge generall leaks in their game and mental game.

People often overestimate the skill lvl of 100nl players. There are a lot pretty solid regs but almost everyone has some leaks in their game / atleast on their mentalgame. It doesn't matter what game you play, it doesn't matter how high the stakes are people are not robots and putting focus on other peoples play and not fearing about money or being worse or whatever will open mind and give the needed strenght and confidence to play better than others.

                            1. Meh... I think shoving and checking are close... With the A or K I shove 100%
                            2. Easy fold vs fish imo, as you mentioned fish typically do not like to bluff with their overbets
                            3. Not sure I defend T7o vs 3x, my range is prob T8o+ but fair enough that's your ranges. I dislike postflop, I think you just have better hands to bluff with in general
                            4. As you mentioned, you cannot b/call overpairs and your range is super thin for value at this point with a tonne of incomplete hands. xb and take the free equity imo. FWIW, I think I bet the turn like you do, but it's definitely a check. Live and learn bro!

The point of calling is that fish cold call range is pocketpairs and broadways, pocketpairs (the ones that want to get stacks in are betting the turn very most of the time) and I can see him shipping the river as bluff with broadways. Anyhow I think fold is better.

                            H3)

Raising the flop time to time is completely fine. We want to defend passively everything that is good enough to defend passively on the flop this is not good enough to flat + if we defend this wide preflop we need to sometimes look for marginal +EV raise spots postflop. Turn is then borderline and we target mainly AQ so 1/2p is enough if we bluff but giving up is better.

                            H4)

River is interesting) He doesn't need to bluff often with an overpair w/o flush so that we can call this. In absolute handstrenght this is better than the set of jacks OTR. Imo super whatever spot Preflop is debatable but nl100 ppl. are quite nitty but obv. ppl. love to iso fish so 3-bet bluffing occasionally with low suited connector can't be that bad.

......... Went running first time in a week today didn't feel good and I realized thinking too much about poker. I guess I've been doing it while grinding and stressed myself a lot without realizing it but now I can feel the stress much more clearly after the week off. I'll clean my room and desk today and continue tomorrow. Need to buy new headphones I broke old ones while travelling....

Well, one more spew hand I guess can't hurt that much.

2k hands today. Somehow hard to put in volume, I should start waking up earlier then grind morning & day and have complete free in the evenings. This weird waking up 12pm starting to play 1pm and ending somewhere between 7-10pm is just ****ty and I end up putting a lot B-game volume in and I'm doing things in a super unproductive way like Fb and chatting with friends in between sessions and spending too much time in front of computer doing nothing. It's all eating my focus. Anyhow running felt a bit better than yesterday. I'll be next month without alcohol and will see how much it improves my focus and mindset. Then I'll make the decission if I want to quit completely drinking or just reduce.

Without much reads preflop is too loose call imo in these positions. Flop we need to call vs. the sizing. Thought that by raising we get him off all of his bluffs and those are enough combos to make it in a vacuum but don't think we want any kind of raising range here it's just ******ed and looks bluffy.

Too wide preflop. I'm overcompensating by trying to play agro while running bad which will increase variance -> more mistakes. I should try to think of my range and not mind results, keep the thoughtprocess as analytical as possible until I start running good and can trust my intuition better.

Well, not even big "downswing" I'm just too results oriented especcially when I play B-game. When I was on A-game / close to zone I made a good fold.

Guy was a chromestar and he timed like 2.5sec after my action on the river. Can be he was a decent player and just understood the spot and how capped I am but I'm like 80% sure he had the flush w. Q or boat with 66. So never mind folding top of my range.

I was like 5 buyins up at 200nl today and starting to find a good focus. Then I went to shopping mall to eat and bought the headphones started to grind again... Somehow I felt like super frustrated after made pretty awfull borderline plays and decided to quit. Ended like 350d up. I just can't concentrate after like 4pm no matter what.

The guy is pretty nitty postflop so it's not typical for him to bluffraise so my 3-bet is awfull. River then I thought he never raises the king and obv. there are very few 8x he can have so decided to rep thin. Obv. it's bad cause he ain't the guy raising a draw and calling the flop 3-bet.

                                                    ----------------

I feel somehow dissapointed in myself still being super results oriented and not making permanent changes but it's just so much easier to put 100% focus to the game if you run good. In my first sessions it helped me a lot to say out loud my thinking process. I was 100% focused on nothing but the game. I've been thinking of going to twitch or atleast making a video of my game but I can't get open broadcaster to work. I watched a video to get the settings fixed but it's just blackscreen when I want to record. If someone could help me get it fixed and show me how to use it with twitch I would pay 20 usd for succesfull help. Pm. your skype pls.

H1 - ugh, tough spot otf. Idk what is best. At first I hated river, but looking back at it I think it's OK as you can definitely x turn with an 8/PP. Unlucky
H2 - I really don't know......... river jam can't be too bad, but then again your fd's xb or go bigger so he might look you up light? idk tho, I'm just a 25nl player
H3 - Nice man. Is 99 a default 3b co vs mp for you?
H4 - No super thin value from you otr?

                                                    Hey,

Thanks Clanty added you on skype! Will check tomorrow.

                                                    H1)

Flop vs. someone who is agro & cappable raising polarized with bluffs + value this hand is fine 3-bet bluff imo. but vs. someone on the tighter side it turns to be awfull and that being said the river is prolly better to give up but close. Not a very common spot so not too much to worry about imo.

H2) Thinking of his flop betting range it's FDs, + overpairs + maybe some 89. He doesn't cbet with a hand like AQ of hearts and the middpairs fold the turn even my sizing should imo 2/3p with this SPR. So what do I actually target on the river?

H3) Vs. fish I want to iso wide. Vs someone with F3b like 30-40% and reasonably wide mp open I think it's standard 3-bet. // if very agro 4-bettors behind then obv. calling more and 3-betting less. Yeah, more A-game more good handreading and paying attention to timings and good things will come.

H4) We block KQ which he shouldn't call pre these positions. AK he jams probably like 70% atleast pre and OTR what's left from his AKs he definitely jams. AA is just a few combos and mostly AA would bet something. Most common hand he has there is JJ and vs. JJ we have value. If I play my A- game and watch the hand and his timings from preflop to river I can be like 80% sure on the river I'm behind or not and if not I can vbet but somehow had no guts.

                                                    -------------

I played a few hours regular tables 100nl at night after evening running. 1,5h very good concentration but then it dropped and made a few mistakes. First one was earlier today.

                                                    H1)

Such an easy turn fold especcially on the 8. People don't realy bluffraise much such spots, they are valueheavy cause people ain't folding much vs. raises on 3-bet pots. Have much better hands to defend on turn.

Pre is close between everything - depends also on villains 4-b calling range 5-b jamming range etc. factors how good or bad this is to 4-bet or call the 3-bet. Having not much info I would be more tempted to fold. Anyhow the turn is a fold. I was expecting to see stuff like 45ss some AJ stuff as bluffs but it's just a monotexture where our equity sucks + it's again uncertain how agro the guy is and considering the population their range is prolly here on the valueside.

I criticize myself a lot but it definitely helps me to be aware of how I'm doing mentally. Even now I realize how this little "dowswing" is affecting my game and discipline and the only way to get things to the right track in this game is to be objective, dedicate myself and always look for something to improve. Even though my english is not on a very high level I feel that writing and especcially writing english helps me a lot to develop myself and my game because I have to always double think what I write because I think on a different language. Difficult to explain but this thread helps me alot to realize where I am poker and life wise and it's a good routine to stop and write, be honest to myself everyday.

I booked flight to Bangkok for 6th Aug. and booked a studio with pool and gym via. AirBmb for the first month. I think I'll grind a lot at first and then go to Islands for 2nd month and take it more relaxed. Then maybe heading to Phillipines. I'm not complete newbie at Thailand cause I was there last year "backpacking" for a month (2 weeks Thailand 2 weeks Cambodien) actually I planed to stay but I lost almost my whole BR before going so now I'm much more carefull and will probably put more volume in at 100nl not 200. If I go to 10k or under it's purely 100nl. Atm. I have like 12k + flight + appartment for 1st month. I'm quite excited and think I made the right decission, summer will be soon over and I have anyhow the feeling that I have not much going on here. Will see how things go I'll keep my mind open

Hm, even snowie is suggesting a fold on turn. You can be right though maybe I'm paranoid and the EV of call is not much worse. 45k hands cause of a lot of 3-tabling and trying to play A-game and cut the c-game sessions when I didn't feel like playing. + had 1 week off completely. This month I'm trying to make 80k hands but will see.

I guess putting in a big volume is not my thing. Just feeling tired and losing the passion to play even maybe getting a bit more from RB is not realy worth it for me. I like very much putting in A-game hours with max. focus after running and feeling fresh its just much more rewarding. Ofc. volume is somewhat important and learning to play solid when feeling tired and tilt controll are important topics to work on. I'll anyhow drop tables to 3 and after this weekend turn my sleeping schedule to normal day schedule.
