I hope you're right. I went from 200 to 600 within 2 hours playing real tight, flopped a set of eights. Widdled down, then I just lost a flip with qq pre. Back down to 180~

OP, you're basically the definition of a degen. Like so many people before me have said, snap out of it while you still have SOME money. Get a job, even if you continue playing poker. Going broke the way you're going about it is almost a statistical certainty.

wow

Most of the hands you posted are terrible. Get better or get a job. Or degen it up #yolo

i know sometimes im waaay overmatched, but i continue to play through the night because i’m degen and i chase my losses. but some nights, I know it’s all for my taking, and last night was one of those nights. I knew where I stood with every single player at my table, a couple to avoid altogether, and I’ve profiled the rest as either fish or regs that I knew I could outplay.

At the end of a 7 hr session, I calculated my EV in all the big spots I was in. I made just 1 crucial mistake, calling off a large portion of my chips with an overpair against an aggro with a bigger overpair on the river. Even with that one mistake, I should have been up so F’in much last night. I got QQ vs 44 in pre for a 300$ pot, he spikes a 4 on the turn. I flop a set of fives, vs top pair with flush draw who ships on the flop: spikes the flush on the turn for a 450$ dollar pot and i don’t improve. And then, for an 800$ pot, I fire 3 barrels with top pair of queens (AQ) against this guy’s Q8 top pair no kicker, runner runner flush for villain.

I know sometimes I deserve to be beat bc I played badly, or didn’t pick my spots correctly. Last night was definitely not one of those nights. Last night was mine, and it was robbed from me.

You could always move to Vegas. How do you feel about VBJ? TBC could use a protégé.

Thanks for the friendly advices guys. It might be my next move whenever I get the chance.

It's been a couple weeks since my last update. Long story short...

Busto.
I actually ran my 2k up to about 5k the last time we spoke, playing well, picking spots, believe it or not. but this past week or so has been so brutal. It started off as running bad, ie big pairs being beaten by smaller pairs aipf, not catching any good starting hands for long stretching sessions, and not hitting many flops. The usual 2p2 rant. But that was only for about 3k of the 5k. The last 2k went from a sort of lasting tilt, I believe the mental game of poker coins it as entitlement tilt. I felt as if I deserved to win pots bc I was better than my opponent, and I felt as if I was due to hit a big hand, so playing a lot wider and looser altogether. The 2k went so fast.

I've never been busto before in my life til now. If you haven't experienced it, I envy you. I'm do have a roof over my head, staying on a friends couch for the time being, so I got that going for me, which is nice. Maybe it hasn't sunk in yet. My last 200 went away tonight. I don't want to die, I'm not depressed (yet), it's more of a lethargic feeling.

Any quick ideas on how to build up some money for another buy in?
