It's this book but idk I probably can't recommend it for $947.. Maybe if you play nl400+ then it's not a big deal and if you get anything out of it it's probably +ev investment in long run.

He says that its because its so hard to win post flop, in order for us to win, UTG must check, we bet and he has to fold. If he doesn't fold we are probably beat. Also cause it's so hard to flop a pair, once flop comes out and UTG cbets we have to fold cause we have only ace high vs UTG.
Giev some general questions on how you generally approach these hands then.
Standard reg raises UTG and you have AJo (or suited, doesnt matter i guess) OTB or in the CO.
Here alot of guys say that i can't call because i will be dominated postflop...

Yeah theory wise i guess maybe that's the case, but in the real ****ing world, people make mistakes postflop, turn small PP's into bluffs where i can bluffcatch, i can float alot of flops, bluff/raise some flops, flop twopair. Etc etc..

KTs in CO or BTN, JTs. QJs, QJo. Am i allowed to call with these or can i tell the guys that tell me that i can't do this to shut the **** up because the boss thinks otherwise? (You are the boss)

And also if BTN raises (a reg) and i'm in the blinds, everyone says ATo etc is a 3-bet/fold hand, and i just think to myself "stfu", it depends..

(I like postflop poker, and i miss it so much these days )

Sounds superstandard calls IP to me. And at least where I play AJo dominates some utg opening hands.. If flop is gonna be Axx then it's a bit guessing game but you can always turn your hand in to a bluff by river so np.

ATo can obv be just called from BB if btn opens (although I 3bet most of the time), like you said it depends.

Hey Giev,

Great thread again man, I'm reading from newest to oldest. Still have 2k more posts to go but only reading your posts instead of whole thread.

I'm about to lose my job, I have 10k left in my Stars roll. My game has reached a plateau and not improving. This month has been terrible.

Have hired coaches, videos, books, theory studying, study groups and all but still seem be stuck at my current limits. Confidence is low, starting to doubt my game and skill. Gotta start winning.

Perhaps I am not utilizing my time properly, when you say "work on your game and play more" please elaborate. I have a job but dedicate 25-30hrs to poker between playing and studying.

Planning on dumping another 1k to coaching. Some sound quality directions would be appreciated.
