Except that I really wanna buy a dog now
Probably gonna continue with it later today, it's a decent read and some great points. Just have to focus to take the stuff from the book in to my overall game/life plan.

dogs are awesome, but i think adopting one is much better than buying.

Re: My journey to $1 000 000 (challenge done)

I really don't know or care if Tri has made most of his money from coaching and books rather than grinding last years. The book doesn't have much strategy in it anyway and since it was a good read and it gives you tools to become a better player I think $50 for it isn't a bad investment. But that's just my opinion.

Edit: And tbh let there be range definitely helped my game 3-4 years ago when I didn't know what I was doing.

Re: My journey to $1 000 000 (challenge done)

Just a general question: In every day life how do you approach money? Let's say you're in a supermarket and pick something up which is actually some overpriced **** do you ever think "what a rip off!" or just stick it in the basket without thinking? Or you go out and blow $200 on a meal, is it something you consider expensive or not at all as you just cleared 5 figs a few hours earlier?

Which leads me to my next question.....I believe you said most of your friends just work the regular 9-5 jobs on average sort of money, do you have any difficulties relating to them/empathising with their financial situation and is there ever any conflict?

Interesting that you find Tri's book helpful. I thought it was almost a scam.

You said there's no strategy. What is it in it that helped you ?
Also, I've read Jared Tendler's "Mental Game of Poker", is it similiar to this book ?

I still approach money the same way as when I was 18 years and had $1k to my name. (And I'm very glad about it). I don't wanna buy overpriced stuff and I won't if I don't need to. Only case I might buy something overpriced is if I want to get something right away instead of waiting some time.

I don't have any difficulties to relate my friends since it wasn't that long ago when I was at the same place. And I don't think I'm living very "baller" life, I just have a nice apartment and car and I don't need to worry about money that much.

Did you read the book or why did you think it was a scam? I haven't read Jareds book so don't know but I might be similiar.

Tbh there wasn't much new information to me but it was more like a confidence boost and to get my mind in the right place. And like I said I enjoyed reading it and it took me 2 days to read 250 pages which is probably more than I have read this entire year if you exclude the internetz.

That's good to hear Better than blowing it on stupid stuff trying to be "baller" and looking back a few years later wishing you hadn't done that. Do you invest your money or just mainly put it towards your property?
