Title says it all really, I'm going to try to make 20,000 playing 200nl live poker, i.e 100bi's. I've played for about 3 years and have decided live it the best chance I've got to actually start making money playing.

High chance of failure as I only have 2bi's to start with... but wth, what's the worst that could happen? Hopefully I hit a nice bit of variance to start and never look back.

First session is going to be tomorrow after work, i'm going to post updates here most days to let you know how i'm doing.

I don't have any timescales in mind yet, I'm going to wait to see how my new nit style fares before I start putting up timescales. I played live before and played lag, this time i'm going to play like a nit and see if i can't cut the variance right down while continuing to milk the poor players.

Thanks for the suppport!!!! anyone reading

GL man but 2bi's? Seriously?

Have you considered using that £400 to grind $50NL online for a month or so? You might win enough to give you a better starting bankroll

Bankroll/tilt management has always been your weakness and it appears you still haven't learnt from your mistakes.

Best of luck though.

would buy-in with 50bb if you only have 2 buy-ins. This has the advantage that u can rebuy 3 times and u haven't be sooo afraid to be all-in. And yeah, i know that Midstack-Strategy is -EV if u are able to buy-in full

thanks slowlane, I got a tonne out of your coaching, I've also spent a lot of time over last month or so learning how to be a nit, sure it's not most +ev, but i think its a good way to cut alot of variance out in fishy games.

susan i'm playing at random poker clubs/casinos near London.

to be honest once all my expenses were paid out this month I had more like 1 bi. e.g. I have a cpl of pretty esential outgoings i didn't factor in which add up to about £200. Having said that if I can do ok live, I know it'll be life transforming for me. I'm sick of having no money for 3 weeks of every month which is pretty much how i've lived my life for as long as I can remember. Most of my money has gone into poker online. Either that or in bars, I've cut the bars out completely now and am concentrating on my poker. I want to get to the stage where I've got money in my pocket all the time and don't have to worry about finding some cash to go on holiday now and again. Simple goals really. That's the starting goal, the secondary major goal is financial freedom to travel the world playing poker and meeting new people - but one step at a time...

Anyway - started well. Played for 4 hours tonight and ended the session +£425 (just over 2bi's up) after deducting about £14 in tips (not sure if this is right amount to tip I need to look into it).

So bankroll about £625, am heading back tomorrow for second session. Hoping that I continue to run ok and build some momentum in early on, because I really want this to work!

Nice session, well played. Casinos near London? I'll be moving to London in a couple of weeks and just trying to find out a bit about the live scene and how the games are etc so I'll definitely be following your thread...if you don't go busto that is
