I'm a new member of 2+2 and I just felt the need to express myself somewhere and my friend recommended this place. This will be the topic where I will try to make my way back up and regroup myself.

Something about me. I am mostly very disciplined poker professional, but I get sometimes out of control. Usually when I lose alot I start doing dumb ****. I think alot of players have these issues, and me, I do the stupidest things you could ever imagine. This kind of behaviour has costed me hundreds of thousands dollars.

Cliffs: Lost ~320,000$ playing party casino

24th november, I was a bit bored and tried to test out the party casino software. All went well and disciplined, I was doing 30€ spins and had 3000€ stoploss. I was very lucky and end up cashing out 12000€ profit. After this I went to a one week vacation trip abroad.

5th december. I just got back from vacation, first day I lost 63,000$ playing poker. I played a regular on higher limits than I usually play and I thought I had an edge. I looked at my balance and I had remainings of 12000€, almost the exact amount I end up winning from casino last time and I thought, "hell why not, its a freeroll anyways". So I opened partycasino "Melon madness" where they have 3Million euros to win if you hit the jackpot. I clicked on the maxbet of 450€ per spin and after few rounds I got very lucky winning total of 77,000€. I was very fortunate and excited getting everything back I lost in poker from casino. I went to sleep.

15th december. I had keep playing on the partycasino almost everyday, and got more and more addicted day by day, but using smaller bets around 30€-60€ per spin. There was an ongoing promotion where you could win 2000$ bonus money if you end up in top five. These promotions usually took few days and then a new similiar promotion started. If you finished top five three times in all promotions you would get 5000$ cash. I already finished in one promotion top five, so I decided to give it to a shot to do it once more. At this point of time I had around 105,000€ on my account. I thought I had found the strategy to beat casino. After few hours of spinnings I was losing money and had 88,000€ remaining on my account. I never had a losing streak like this before, so I felt more and more addicted spin by spin, I thought I have to make a big win soon, so I decided to slowly up my bet from 60€ to 150€ to 300€ and finally to max bet 450€. The big hit didn't come, my account reached a pity 0,00€. I was busto on my partycasino account. At this point of time I didn't think, it was all a freeroll, it was more like I felt losing 105,000€s. I thought, If I deposited I could have a chance to win it all back. I said to myself "The big hit has to come soon, it has to!! I lost so much money I never have before" So I went on my moneybookers, deposited 7000€ busted, then another 7000€, busted, then 6000€ more and I have reached my account limits. I prayed to my friend to send me 3000€ and he did, busted that in less than a minute. Then I took my credit card, deposited 4000€, busted, and then I only had one more more go, since all my transaction limits were exceeded and I could deposit only once more 3999€. And then BINGO! THE BIG HIT!!! I Win 65000€!!!! I was up from casino once again, got all my deposits back and some more. I was very fortunate and told myself to never play casino again. I went to sleep having a large smile on my face.

18th december. I won the 2nd promotion aswell, partycasino called me I haven't play for a few days, and if I finish top 5 in last promotion I will get the 2000$ bonus aswell with 5000$ cash. I told them to **** off. I'm not going to do this again, I'm going to hit and run with this what I still have left.

19th december. I thought about their call last night, thought yeah, it makes sense. That is like 7000$ up for grabs, I have to do it. Maybe few spins yeah? So I went on roll again, started spin the machine for hours and end up dropping to 20,000€ with max bets, then I got lucky once again and hit big to reach 105,000€ total. This making me somewhere around 80,000-85,000€ up total with the deposits. Now I was #1 in promotion and thought I don't need any more spins to make it top five. I proceeded maximum cashout of 70,000€ and went to sleep with peaceful mind, thinking my casino career retardations are finally over.

20th december. I wake up and look at the leaderboard, to my surprise I see I have dropped to 7th place. I'm like ****, I didn't feel too good. This can't be the best thing happening to me right now, can it??. I HAVE TO SPIN AGAIN. I AM ADDICTED. Spin after spin I see my account decreasing, from controlled 30€ bets I go up again to 60€...150€....300€... and finally max bet 450€. I don't see any luck and I just kept on losing. My pre-session balance of 35,000€ hit 0€ and I still was up around 40,000€ total. But no way I can stop now. I am way too addicted, I must get my losses back. I HAVE TO. I go to cashier and click on the CANCEL cashout button. I receive 70,000€ more to play with. My balance keeps grinding down, after some time I look at it and see it hit the 30,000€ mark, realising I'm now breakeven with casino overall. Now it's just the deposits left I made earlier. I don't give a ****, I keep on spinning. Short time after balance hits 0€. Moneybookers had reseted and deleted my deposit limits. I look at my account, see around 50k € laying there. 7000€ by 7000€ I keep depositing more. I lose it all...

Now I'm down in casino 80,000€ from being up 105,000€ Also poker is down 63,000$ With a dollar rate I have grinded the money is around 1.4 and put this together my downfall is a total of 322,000$. I am almost busto. Only money I have left now is in my bank, but I'm too tired and tilted to continue. I talk to my friends and tell what just happened. I told them I really need to clear my head somewhere and this was where I was linked to.

This was how many partypoints I was able to get during this casino period, also a kind of prove that it really did happen.

So what will happen now? I have 40,000€ in bank and I will deposit this money to several poker sites and start on grinding. I will probably wait until the new year before I start all of this. Need to have some time off to understand everything that has happened to me and make a start over. My goal is to win 500,000$ next year and I will keep this topic updated while the grind goes. I'm getting more and more motivated once the days go by to show you people I can make a comeback from being a total complete moron idiot

I did pretty much the exact same thing (although for a lot less money) ~5 years ago on the carbon roulette...

Since then I have not played any other casino games apart from poker and the odd $1 spin at a live casino with the girlfriend for fun.

I had a problem with gambling and i went and sorted now my mindset it much better. Poker was never the issue for me it was just what was around it. e.g. blackjack etc.

My bankroll management has improved drastically as well as not tilting anymore and gambling my bankroll at $5/$10 etc.

I would go see someone and not put a penny onto any poker site until you are through with your gambling issues because it will affect your poker.

I don't know if you are leveling or not, if your serious I need to say poker is my business and I need to keep doing what I have done until this point. I just need to get rid off casino and that's all. :P

I've seen some good friends of mine who fully understands my situation, they have been a great support. I agree with you that I'm not going to deposit before I feel fully ready for the next poker challenge and have casino past me. I guess time will show what happens, just hope for the best always. No point to stay negative!!

On Ipoker skins you can ask the personel to block all casino adds, so you can only play poker. Maybe this is a good option while you sort things out.

I can't believe what i just read but your sittuation may not be the worse. It's really addiction but u need to be stronger... While i was reading your post i though"wtf? how can this guy have a easy though about being able to loose 7k€ just like that? Most people would give anything just to gain that money!" You should've stopped the 1st time u recovered your money... Nothing to do now but i've been in a similar sittuation (not that much money envolved) and i couldn't sleep for days... I imagine you... That's lot of money you lost (even exceeds the money you have of lifetime as i read). Well, it must be really hard to start with those 40k€ left just by thinking what u lost...

You must obviously be a winning player so just got to stay away from casino games.

OP: Instead of p*ssing away 320k... why not give it to me? I would happily put it to good use rather than gamble it away on something that has odds against me.

I think its a given, but STOP PLAYING CASINO GAMES WITH MONEY YOU CAN NOT AFFORD TO LOOSE.

I often go to my local casino and flutter away a tenner or so. Its money I am willing to part with. But 320k is not throw away money. 320k would:

A) Pay for my pilots licence

B) Buy a good property in England or the US.

and

C) Top up my poker bankroll so I can play the 100NL games (skill permitting).

Sounds a bit unlucky. Some days have passed and I reckon you should run good for a bit.

Ok so it's been a while and alot has happened. I haven't touch casino or poker games since. What I did do though, I was in hometown and I travelled back to my home 160 miles south. I went to sleep and once I woke up, I thought of what I could do and nothing came in my head. I was not in the condition to open poker, I just left my friends and families and my friends from this city were all with their own families. So I got an idea in my head, I remembered my friend has a birthday 450 miles south and I took train there and went to celebrate.

What happened on that train, I thought why not take some more time off? I clearly don't feel like grinding yet and if I ever want to be on a vacation then this is the time. I talked to some friends and got one to join me. We thought all the possibilities next day and we end up going to USA.

This wasn't easy though, since I didn't plan to go abroad before train trip I obviously didn't have my passport with me. I needed to figure out a way to get it, so I called my sister, who was just returning from our hometown to same city I drove to last night, and told her that I need to get passport. So She went to my place and grabbed my passport, drove to the local airport and handed it to another passenger. Then on my end the passenger delivered me the passport and I was happy to reward her with 50€, whoa, what a hottie she was!

Right now, I'm in a hotel in New York, Manhattan and going to the new years show this evening. I'm leaving New York on 2nd of january and planning to buy a car and go for a road trip around USA for almost 90 days. To my regret I currently have problems getting traffic insurance, if any of you could help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. Yes it was tough few days. You know the worst kind of tilt you get from poker, when you go under deep depression and feel angry to yourself the same time. That feeling usually lasts not longer than few minutes, but this time it was on for full 14 hours. To top that, I also felt a bit dizzy and had hard time breathing. After I had a night or two sleep I was lucky enough to
recover so I only felt deep depression, it's still a lot better than all of those things combined. Thanks for the great wishes and happy new year to you!

Not at all. Like I mentioned above, I am purely a professional poker player when it comes to making money, and that's the way I got to where I was and hopefully that will be the way for me to bounce back in. :P

The last thing I would do is to give the money to someone who is trying to gain from other person's loss. A guy who is not able to make his own and begging from others. That's not what I do. If i were to give money away it would be for a charity or a friend in need. But a person like you, if I had to pick from burning the money or giving it to you, I'd burn it every time and **** on it afterwards.

Hey again, time to make some updates. I want to keep this alive so before I get on and begin to process my way back I will write to you from my USA trip. So just for info my posts will be non-poker related until april and mostly stories from my roadtrip. This is the way for me to start regrouping myself and hopefully it will lead to great things in future.

New York
So me and my friend began our trip from New York 26th december. We planned to stay there until 3rd of January and buy a car and continue our journey with it around USA. For that we need car insurance. Since we are abroad it's really hard to explain our situation via phone so we wanted to do it person-to-person or get someone to help us getting it. This didn't go as we planned since we hit a road block getting car insurance. We googled numerous amount of insurance agents and took taxi to addresses that google gave us but hit blank everytime. So for now we had to postpone our car plans until we figure a way to find a temporary car insurance.

I heard lot of good things about New York's New Year Eve and we wanted to experience it ourselves. We went in Manhattan and waited in queue to organize people, there were like 1 Million people outside and it was crowded as hell. We went there early, around 2pm so we could secure good viewing spots. There were lot of famous artists like Lady Gaga leading us for the New Year. Of course we got bored after few hours waiting and went to a bar instead, then we figured out that our hotel is on the time square street so we could just go outside hotel to view the new year few minutes before it happens and we were able to capture it.

We also went to see several other tourist attractions and pictures will follow.



Times Square with all the adverts were a bit shock to us, we never witnessed anything like this before and we just felt so SMALL in there.


Same with evening lights on. Looks spectacular.




Of course we had to go and see the famous Empire State Building aswell. It was ridiculous how small all the skyscreapers looked from up there.

We heard this is a SUPER place. All it has is some fancy clothes and resteurants but that's about it. Nothing that you can't find elsewhere.

I started feeling like grinding and feel like Im fully recovered from the casino so I took a plane and flew back to my home country.

Been playing for 2 days now and I just got one thing to say: Feeling the burn again for poker games!!
