Do you believe the usage of the common utensil 'fork' or the more eastern 'chopstick' is superior in general?

Tried to take the survey because I obvious want a chance to win 500$. But it keeps recycling the first page. Oh well I tried.

Well I'm currently playing 5NL and 10NL so obv I would be interested in those stakes. Plus the majority of videos out there are already 50NL+ videos.

It would be interesting for me to see a really really good player playing nano stakes. I'm sure that you could see a lot of spots where villains are extremly unbalanced/exploitable, lines that make absolutely no sense etc.

$500 dollar draw to one of the people responding to it, and generally I hope you can learn a bit about how you think. So I would really appreciate it if you could spare 10-15 min for it!
- Finished the survey.
- Had problems answering two questions. #9 and #22 (?). The questions where you had to rank the answers from 1 to 5. I wasn't able to change the ranking at all. Tried firefox, chrome and internet explorer.
- you should have added the question "did you cheat?". This is a gambling forum after all
- I am interested in the thesis but I don't like leaving my e-mail address. Could you post itt when you finish your thesis?

Take a look at Dostoyevskys, Notes from the Underground, easily in my opinion his equal best work with Brothers Karazmov, also you could read his short stories which are very good, in particular Dream of a Ridiculous Man.

Heres a link its very short as well:

I shall. I have not read Brothers K, sadly, as I am really really lazy but I certainly plan to. It's all on my list.

Oh no, not this again.

Spoiler:
Chopsticks, obviously.

I just finished my tourney series in Dublin, in the hotel right now. My friend Tim Chung got deep! Sadly just shy of big money. I got to day 2, had a decent stack at one point, but Macphee on my left gave me trouble and knocked me from 2x average to 0 in two hands. Sad.

Then went to play some 2/5 PLO and 5/10/20 NLHE, and ran like god or whatever, so somehow I'm still up a decent amount on the trip. Obviously highlight was winning at OFC. Usually doesn't happen.

Going to post some hands in a bit, going to chill out first.

Invisible Cities
Cosmicomics

are the casinos running OFC in Europe now? I'm still pretty much just playing on my iphone app against friends but am desperate to play some live and for bigger monies - assume they'd have to just do like a $/hr time charge?

re Kavalier and Clay, it's certainly one of the best written novels I've read. It obviously won the Pullitzer and a million other awards which doesn't always mean it's going to be enjoyable but if you're a 'use and command of the English language geek' and I think you probably are, I suspect you'll love it. Whilst reading it I thought it may actually get to number 1 in my all time list. It didn't quite get there but it's definitely top 10. (top 3 for ref Unbearable Lightness of Being, Unfortunate Incident of the Dog in the Night Time and Waterland so if you like/hate them you'll know whether to read Kav & Clay or not)

glad you ran bad post bust out although it always tilts me when I pick up masses of hands on the cash tables just after busting a big (for me) tournament. One time I just want to go Darvin Moon and hit every hand in the world when there's a huge prize on the line.

how can you possibly think chopsticks are better

the real question isn't chopstick and fork but chopstick and fork+knife. the answer in that case is real simple

Brothers K is an amazing book. Glad to hear you did ok on your trip.

Chopsticks are probably superior if you can actually use them efficiently (not I).

What stakes of OFC were you playing? Any sick hands (probably every single round)?

So I had 9967ds and flatted a raise for a 4-way pot at 5/10/25/50. Pot is 700~ and board comes 955ss. Whale leads with all his change, 350. Reg flats. I make it 1.1k, whale jams, reg folds.

I'm like. Call.

Ship the 12k pot Ty.

Variance: Whale still had me covered 2x

Soon after, I witnessed a 30k pot where 6k went in preflop 4 way, and 4678ss ended sccoping it.

Then like an hour later, one guy, a short stack, refused to straddle, and the whale rage quit. Fffssssss.

Not many interesting hands from that session, really was just trying to make nuts. I made a few bluffs that didn't work, but had good hands to value bet, so I won a decent amount.

Still got some hands written down I need to post but so tired and sick, going to rest now, will try to post them later.

Not much, just 5 pounds a point, sometimes 10. I wouldn't be against playing for more but the people I play with aren't very high stakes players, or are just quite nitty, so to accommodate we just play 5, not that it's entirely wise to play too high anyway. I wouldn't really want to play OFC with friends for an amount that hurt; we're playing for fun after all.

In other news:

Hey everyone, I don't know if anyone told you, but we're all going to Berlin for EPT. Pack your bags okay? okay! See you there!

Flop comes A82r, I chk, checks through. Turn comes a 9, excellent, I pot lead, gets flatted by whale. Pot is now 1575. River is an 8, which is great as I think whale always bets the set on the flop, and always raises the turn. I bet 1300. He raises to 4k, I jam for 6950. He thinks for a minute or so and calls.

I table and win. I'm guessing he has 89, but might even be a flush considering.

I think I could 3bet pre, but lots of good aggro players with 10k+ stacks behind me.

Anyway, very nice to have a nice win. I started the session pretty bad. Ran quite good to get even and get spots to play with the whale. Won about 12k. Finally up a decent amount in London since I got here! Took some time, lol. And also still behind my expectations. Oh well.

Just played in a 25/50 NLHE game, got short handed in the end too.

I was nitting up as well because of terrible position; barely played a hand until I picked up Q7s to 3-Bet, get cold called, then triple barrel anyway.

I really like this playing tight idea. I feel like it makes my bluffs even more effective. I'm going to remember this for next time. Q7s or better.

Just saw a reg get soul destroyed by a fish. Fish open UTG. +1 3bets, calls. Flop K94 mono 3 spades. Check bet call. Turn is 9, UTG leads, +1 tank calls. River is Js conpletibg 4 flush. Check check.

UTG has 34o with 4 high flush.

K63xhh, C-Bet and 2 callers.

Turn To check through.

River 9h I bet 1.7k 3/5 pot, whale folds, reg same guy who got soul crushed by whale and also lost 6k QQ vs KK to whale jams for 1.6k more. I tank for eons. Looked like I was about to call and he reached for his cards in a weird way. I swear I was about to fold but that looked weird. He also jammed over my bet very quickly.

Anyway I called. He has AhTx. Thank god I'm finally good once in my life.

I think I def played my hand poorly I'm just lucky it worked out.

Anyway:

In decent profitsville since London now. Very good. Up 17k in cash games since I started this thread, down about, I don't know 6k GBP in online and MTTs? So still now up much at all really, and lost money from staking, but hey, it's not so bad.

Subbed.

Just read it all and:

1) in those videos you really run like a girl. a little, frightened, one. just to say...
2) I know you said that you don't read enough beeing an Eng Lit student, and Italian Lit is not a big part of the Eng Lit (wut?!), but you really forgot to mention any Italian Writer. just for good equity... (and 'cause they were the best, ofc)
3) I love your blog do you have a personal one outside 2+2?

Thanks. I used to, but haven't, and have basically decided to make this my blog. Some friends have suggested I make a tumblr as I do do some writing and have lots of politics/literature/film related opinions, but so far I haven't yet.

Ah I have read some Italian writers, but it was when I was younger. Unfortunately I just don't know enough of them to say anything substantial!
