You are good from what I have read. In about three years, with your own money, you will be really good.

Cashing once in 16 or 17 tournaments?
Learn to play with your own money if you really want to learn how to play.

See you in Florida :-)
You know I had 40-60% in the $29,700 worth of tournaments I played this summer right?

I say KUDOS to you sir. While your path has been a little unconventional you should be VERY proud of the progress you've made personally and professionally. If your next 18 months are anywhere near as fruitful as the last you will be reaching all your goals in the near future.

Been there many times young man. Hit many a loose slot machine at McCarran to earn taxi fare back and a few bucks for another night or two on the Strip.

LOL. I can't tell if these people are serious or not. I suspect unintentionally funny.

I think tourneys are brutal on the psyche. Do something fun, but stay safe, Mike. I appreciate the attention you give to the people who follow this thread. Try not to take the dolts so seriously.

Probably 'cause you sound like a complete fish. I know you're old and all so I don't want to be too rude but, you seriously sound like you have no idea what you're talking about. The dude has told you to not post in his thread any more so I hope you respect his wishes.

Unlucky Mike, poker's a cruel heartless bitch sometimes, and as demonstrated by you it happens to the best of us. Stay strong, there are always other tourneys to play and other games to crush. Glgl.

I stopped posting for a bit bc I was upset. I'm wasted. Up $500 gambling at planet Hollywood like an idiot. My girl made day 4 of the main and I have a 1% sweat. Decision is that I'm going to cabo with staknchips88, not sure if that's his handle but I'm going to Mexico to play poker stars and grind up $100,000

legit question here: (about going to Mexico and pokerstars)

Do you need a dual citizenship to log in to the blocked sites or do you have access that we don't have in the states? Can you just Getty to another country and automatically get on and continue with the grind?

Not one for pep talks here but you know the only thing that matters in your life is you. You Ste first without you, you have nothing life stops. What I'm trying to say is that anything anyone else says is just an opinion to you, should be that way too. Take all these comments lightly and don't give them any satisfaction of knowing you even thought about their comments, they don't deserve any reaction or reply from you. Keep grinding brother, you know the grind got you this far. Its only another part of life that's got to be done, beside with you we both know it'll be over quicker than most. Keep that mental drive that got you here, you got this man.

Great thread Mike! An interesting read and a real motivation to me personally. So much so you get the totally awesome honour and privilege that is my 1st post. Added you up on facebook hopefully I get a chance to bounce a few questions off you sometime. Enjoy the cabo grind, I'm heading out there myself next year.

Finally caught up!

Sorry you busted in the Main Event, but you win a lot in cash games so take a few days to do fun nonpoker stuff then get back to it! There's always next year!

Re: living out of my car in florida...

Take it easy Mike. The tournament grind is grueling maybe you should take a break from it and get back to your most successful roots, North East and Florida cash games. You went from grinding 2/4 LHE to taking shots at 5/10NL and playing 10K events in less than two years. That's an incredible achievement and it may all be coming to fast. Get back to grinding the games you know you can crush for a few months and then consider jumping back on the circuit. Boosting the bankroll consistently winning money at 1/3NL and 2/5NL for a extended period will be uplifting to the spirits.
