Re: living out of my car in florida...
So, I knew I was going to go to Vegas this year at WSOP time, for about a week or so. And I thought it would be cool to go to LA, since it's close by and I'd never been. And of course there's the Grand Canyon, which I've always wanted to see. So I started trying to plan everything with dates and flights and car rental and whatnot.
Then I thought, "No. Simplify. Rent a car here. Drive across the country by yourself. See all kinds of interesting places between Florida and California. Hit LA and the Canyon when it's convenient. Go to Vegas for however long feels right. WWMWD?"
So here I sit, enjoying my second night playing and staying at the Commerce in LA. (If you haven't played the 5/10 here, you're missing out.) Beach tomorrow. More poker. Visit the Reagan Library. More poker. Check out Hollywood. And more poker. Love it. I know you can appreciate. (OK, maybe not the Reagan Library part, but I'm into American history.) During the trip, I even spent a night in the car in a rest area just outside of New Orleans, being constantly awakened by the passing highway traffic, shirtless and covered in a sheen of Louisiana humidity slime. Sure, I could've gotten a cheap room. But by God, I was keeping it real. It was all very Wolfian.
So anyway, I'll be in Vegas in a few days, whenever I get tired of LA. I'll buy you a beer. And Elky some wine. And Eugene some vodka. And Viffer some airplane glue, if he's around. Then you and I can satellite into the Big One for One Drop, proceed to ship it, and snicker at the suckers who try to grind out the chump change of the Main Event.
Oh, and we can also light my Ford Fusion rental on fire just for entertainment. I'll be flying home if I win $200 billion, or whatever it pays. **** keeping it real at that point. God bless, and keep nailing the Asians like it's your job.

Had a really good discussion with Victor Ramdin, Ari Engel, and Amanda Muscemeci this morning in one of the suites at Rio. Victor talked about being backed and mentored by Ivey, pretty awesome stuff. I feel incredibly inspired for the rest of the WSOP

Not a problem. We will have plenty of time to talk when I get to Florida. Should be there in about a month.
I will bring my camera. I want to take a photo of the WSOP Bracelet you are going to earn :-)

I sat at the table next to him in shootout. We locked eyes for a second.. We nodded. Mutual respect.
