enjoying the thread man. Shoot me a message when you're heading back to parx. If I can make it while you're there, I'll buy you lunch or something.

Makes me happy that there are people out there who have the balls to do stuff like this.

Re: living out of my car in florida...

Thanks for the love guys...

I had a pretty uneventful first week at the Borgata Poker open. I sold about 45% of my action in the marketplace so it wasnt too disastrous. I ran one big bluff the whole time I was in AC and ran into the top of this aggro kids range in a pretty good spot. It was the last hand before a break and there were people watching this massive pot unfold. I squeezed his open after there were 4 weak/passive flatters. We were all pretty deep. As I threw out my raise, I felt him looking at me and I dropped one chip awkwardly. The chips stuck and I tried to separate them and it looked fishy as hell. I felt that he picked up on that and decided to 4 bet me regardless of his hand. He went ahead and 4 bet and I knew that I was jamming before the action even came around to me. He had been opening a lot of pots/winning pots without going to showdown and he was definitely capable of 4 betting light. Folded to me so I took a few seconds and jammed. He said "God damn it, I call" semi-shaking his head. He flipped up KK. So I tabled my J7. Everyone that was watching was like wtf. I am absolutely certain he wouldve folded AK and QQ. If he wasnt fist-pumping about getting it in with KK then my play was pretty good, I guess. Thinking about the play after the fact makes me doubt the spot a little bit. Yeah on one hand its a good spot to jam when you think someone is going to 4 bet/fold but on the other hand the field is just so awful that I couldve just folded to his original open and waited until I outflopped a fish or something. Playing live tournaments is pretty frustrating, I played all day and made a move in a big pot and was wrong. Online, I would shrug because I would have 10 other tables open. Other then that one spot I just got coolered a bunch and lost a flip. Got QQ in vs 66 and lost my last day there. Doubled up in a massive pot in the $500 bounty with 33 on J 3 x. The guy had AA. Pot was ~21k and he had 400 more chips than me so I didnt get the bounty. LOL when your running bad your running bad. Made a pretty big call with 78 on JJ78Q in a 3 bet pot and was right. I played well and at the end of the day, thats all you can do. My last night in AC I played some cash, Im utg and was up a few hundred after a few hours, my friend Jamie walks over and says lets get out of here. I say ok this is my last hand. I open KJhh and get two callers. I end up doubling a kid up on KJ7. He was hyper aggressive and managed to somehow align the stars in the universe to have 77 when I flopped top two. I cashed out and ended my last session up $3! Ship the sugar!

I decided to play a cash game in NYC last night before hitting the bars. Cliffs, I flat AQ in a straddled pot because I see the sb cutting out chips to squeeze. He squeezes and I back jam my entire stack with enough fold equity. He waits about 5 seconds before calling off 200bbs with QJ offsuit. Board runs out 4 clubs, his jack is a club. Its raining and its pouring. My buddy told me "When you think it cant possibly get any worse than it is, it can, and probably will"

Im done telling bad beat/cooler stories. I packed all of my stuff this morning and bought a one way ticket to Tampa. Im going to stay with Jason surebet for 3 weeks to grind soft Florida cash games and $200+ daily tournaments. Should make a few grand while Im down there plus boost my confidence to prepare for the WSOPE. Ive never been to France before so Im super excited to play another bracelet event. I will probably be selling some action in the marketplace and I'll keep you guys posted. If anyone is in Tampa and wants to grind/drink/wander be sure to shoot me a text! 347-236-5150

Re: living out of my car in florida...

Hey mike,

Ive been reading your thread over the past couple days and I finally just got through it. I like you am a 22 year college grad and all I want to do is grind live poker at the moment and live it up as much as a possibly can. Im currently living at home in Canada but I quit my job recently and will be moving to the DFW area(where i went to school) to start my own adventure until I get deported lol. I think I will be starting a new thread in PG+C once I actually get to start grinding. I look forward to the freedom to do what I want when I want and hopefully make some good money along the way. You earned my first 2p2 post as your story is inspiring to me. You should make a trip out to DFW area at some point and we can hang!

I'm with the villain in the hand at the moment. 89 of spades. This is not a typical 1-2 player.

I'm up huge at the Taj lifetime so let's keep rolling gents!
