Last try: do I suck at poker?

I'm interested in poker about a year and as you could guess, I didn't progress a lot - going up, going down, going up... I tried almost everything (6max cash, rush, sngs and so on) and I think it's the main reason why I didn't progress. I need to concentrate and to decide if I should continue playing poker.

So I decided to play turbo sngs (1table, 9 seats) at FTP, 4tabling at the beginning. Now my balance is ~$320 and decided to play $2.2, 4tabling. Maybe I could play $5.5, but, well, better too low than too high.

My goal: grind $11s and, of course, beat them.
Steps:
1) play 200 $2 sngs. If it shows decent profit (15% ROI at least, but I think 25% is possible) moving up to $5, if it doesn't play 300 more SNGs. If I still don't beat (after 500SNGs) I really really suck at poker.
2) the same at $5

I'm going down in levels if I don't have 35BIs at current level (I think that's really conservative).

I will study using:
1) 2+2
2) Moshman's book
3) CardRunners (not sure if there is a lot of useful info for micros)
4) HEM

If anyone else had similar problem - feel free to share how did you beat it

Put in the time, don't get frustrated if you start on a downer, and be honest with yourself when you are in one....

gl OP, I grind STTs too.

Don't set your hopes (in terms of ROI) too high. I'm not sure how tough the 2.20s are but i'd say start with a goal of 10%. Also expect some tough swings and try to mentally prepare yourself.

On cardrunners, watch sippin_criss SnG videos, they are awesome. But probably not the best for micros actually.

edit: get SngWiz!

Thanks everyone, going to update about every 50-100 sngs.

I thought I should buy this for $5s or if I'll get stuck (just don't waste trial) at $2s. Now I'm using push/fold table from Moshman's book, this one is pretty cool. Now checking almost every hand when I'm 10BB or shorter and at CO-BB, I think this is quite good method for learning ICM.

Re: Last try: do I suck at poker?

Had a busy week, so didn't play a lot, but I hope to play much more forthcoming week. Now I think the biggest leak is that I'm not steeling often enough at ~t80. In conclusion, I'm quite happy with my results.
It's tempting to take a shot at $5s, since I have enough BIs (~65), so maybe I'll take it... Because it seems I'm beating $2s

84 tourneys a sample size is not

keep at the 2.20s until at least 500 imo. be patient

Re: Last try: do I suck at poker?

Yeah agree that isn't a sample. 500 maybe at little bit too many for $2s, because, well, to beat this level you don't need good ICM knowledge and so on. Just very basic poker. I think I'll consider moving up when I'll have at least 250 sample
