GL at 5NL. What I got most out of 2NL was it controlled my tilt which really help me out in 5NL. I used to go on money tilt and start playing $50-$105HU match to regain my losses. Now I got lucky 3 time before I said enough is enough and I got to control this. So I punished my self to 20K hands at 2NL even tho I was rolled for 5NL. After those 20K hands I was up $13ish and haven't tilted since. So just say to make sure to stay composed in 5NL as you can quickly lose $30+ tilting. Played a bit in 5nl and had to drop back down because I lost around 4 buyins - rush poker is like crack. Was also playing fairly irresponsibly which ultimately resulted in me forcing myself to move down even though my BR allows me to stay in 5nl.

Stopped playing heavily the last few weeks because I'm focusing a lot more on understanding things like equity, ranges, draws and all that jazz. Told myself I wouldn't move up again for another 10k hands where I have a decent BB/100. Really, when I moved up from 2nl, I only had ~3BB/100, which is fairly low for 2nl I think? So gonna study hard and work hard and spend my time testing hands on pokerstove. Only like 9k hands to go... haha.

Been playing a ton of heads up the last few days and I LOVE it.

Too bad I run bad though. grinded up about 15$ or so in a day or two (more than I had ever won in ring games - 15$ would've taken me weeks ) and then tried moving up to 5$ HU but got my ass kicked twice and then a few more times in the lower levels. So basically up a few buyins from where I started playing HU a few days ago but still not doing immensely well. I do think this is definitely my favourite poker style game so far. Played a few PLO heads up on stars as well - epic fun.

I think branching out to different styles of poker is definitely a good thing for me. TBH, I love PLO wayyyyy more than NLHE, and I wouldn't have figured this out without experimenting. I also wouldn't have discovered how good HU is as well, so if I'm ever gonna drop any wisdom down in this thread, it is that the poker world is bigger than just NLHE ring games or 6max.

Gonna try and learn omaha8 or something too.
