June Supernova and beyond PLO Headsup

Hey,

Sitting here at 4am on my birthday enjoying some inevitably timed run good, and i've decided to set myself a volume challenge, which is kinda strange for someone who plays 80%+ headsup.

However if i can get supernova in june, it would really set up a good foundation for the last 6 months of the year, (which will ill go into more if this goes well.) however this will require earning about 40k vpps, which obviously means im currently at 60k vpps.

This in turn means ill be required to pay 3.3x (or something my math is bad at 4am) as much rake as i have been doing on averge a month this year. Actually, as i write this, considering how lazy ive been this year, that doesnt really seem like a huge leap, but it looks like a challenge on paper.

I should probably write about my situation and how i got to where i am, because its kind of a funny one (im 20 today, and i mostly visit the full tilt containment thread, etc.) but i may forget about this in 3 days because i run bad or something so we shall save it for now.

Numbers!

Bankroll : $4829
Current Games : Headsup : .5/1 PLO F/S, .1/2 PLO S, .5/1 HE F, 1/2 HE S
6 Max (Zoom, 4 tables) : .25/50 PLO F, .5/1 PLO S
MTT upto $55
FPPs : 5,024
VPPs : 59890
Fpps required : 41110
Days left : 34
Pace : 1209PP/day

Likely to spend 28th doing birthday **** and 29th ill be right on the grind, may sneka an hour or two in today though, so ill be reporting back with session reports and interesting hands soon i hope!

1980 hands of .5/1 PLO 6 max
Profit : -$294
Bankroll : $4531
VPPs : 1390
VPP Total : 61382

Not much interesting to share, hard to find bit pots that i lost because theres so many hands, plus only playing 50-100bb deep most of the time then ratholing, there wont be many interesting hands posted from 6 max. ill be back on the headsup soon enough though, and headsup PLO is the most interesting varian of poker IMO.

Re: June Supernova and beyond PLO Headsup

Played around 1200 hands of 1/2 HU PLO and .5/1 6 max PLO
Profit : $745
Bankroll : $5812
VPP : 760
VPP Total : 64495
FPPs : 15336 (Saving 100k for $1500 bonus, will coincide with gaining supernova status)

Nice little hand to round off the session. Bankroll was at 5200 and decided to take a nice little 1 buyin shot at 200PLO zoom full stacked (i like round numbers/im a degen etc.), villain seems to be a decent reg from what ive seen of him.

Note the turn sizing is basically designed to make the SPR exactly one on the river, as the villain either a) has the nuts and wants to set up a river shove* or b) air/weak showdown value which he plans to turn into a bluff on the river, so maybe check/shoving the turn wouldve been a better play given this sizing tell and how difficult it can be to play the river.

*(unlikely in this case, as 89 is vunerable to nearly half the deck on the river, if not more, so he would likely bet bigger, unless he had nut hearts or a set to go with, which is highly unlikely)

As youll see, it actually works perfectly for me as i bink the old 3 outer for the nuts, and it seems like a clear check given what was said about the turn sizing, paired with the fact that lead-shoving looks suuuuuuuper strong and barely ever gets paid off by worse (IMO), sure enough im lucky enough to get bluffed into to win a massive pot.
