Thanks Matt. Look forward to talking with you on Skype in the future and still following your thread.

gl in the future!
Yeah I might start doing a blog later. I might also continue sporadically updating this thread or possibly starting a new one if the SNE push goes well.

And yeah, there are a few things that have a direct correlation. A few things did click.

Yeah I did play Yu-Gi-Oh. Don't think there are any professional players persay but I wrote strategy articles and met a lot of cool people through the game. There are actually a few YGO players who are doing quite well in poker!

Yeah bfizz is the illest.

Marc Marc Marc never said I ran bad. I'm not sure what you're referring to but if it's the post after the 2nd Chance, we all know 50k or so is a very large sum of money and I think becoming a bridesmaid in all of these big tournaments finally broke me down.

I do think I've unquestionably run bad in big equity spots in big prize pool tournaments this year but I've also run really good in other spots so I really try hard not to ever whine about it since whining is generally insufferable and yes every poker player thinks they run bad. I actually vowed after the Warmup win to try to never complain (though I've failed miserably at that).

congrats on crushing jae, ur vids are awesome and have helped me a lot! If you don't mind me asking, what law school did you go to and why did you go in the first place? How did you like it? My parents are still pressuring me to go this route however I don't believe it's what I want.

I went to wash U in st louis (top 20 but not anywhere near t14 which is really important I found out). Very beautiful/wealthy school and I caught them at a really lucky time right before recession. They were throwing out scholarship money to move up in the rankings so I ended up picking up a near full ride despite a bad undergrad gpa (my LSAT score was very strong).

I knew I wanted to be a poker pro but I have Asian parents so I figured this would throw them off the scent. I'm definitely independent and my own man but would rather not give my dear momma heartbreak. Everything ended up well. I would have never gone to law school if it wasn't for the scholarship.

The law market is horrible now and I wouldn't recommend going to law school unless it was your lifelong dream to be a lawyer.

Thanks bud, I hope so. Enjoyed our chat last night. I shouldn't 1-table at 6am, it leads to hoodflatting 5bets with A9s.

Re: jjyykk- Top 100 Pokerstars Yearly TLB, Top 100 PocketFives Rankings.

So this week I am trying a goal of seeing if I can sustain a SNE pace. I've set my daily goal to 5000 VPP and yesterday I managed to hit it but it was brutal. I have so much respect for SNE grinders because grinding that much and forcing myself to play is just disgusting. I'm pretty sure pushing for SNE is -life EV for me at this point (and my game will probably suffer).

I won the $320 6 max and the Sunday $22C for about 20k total since the last time I posted. I also made some really bad plays in a few other tournaments later on in the session so I'm going to try to cut off my registering a bit earlier from now on (I think my game deteriorates after about 10 hours).

Going to mainly play $30-500 SNG's and have also started playing $100-200 50/50's as well.

YugiohPro 107 $8 $57 15% $908 - N/A PokerStars <12Mths E10-10

Had a horrendous -3k day yesterday but about 1/2 of that was from 5 tournaments (109C turbo, 215T, 215T, 109 2x Turbo, 320 6m) that were all game selected (fields are way softer) so not too worried. But it is a bit concerning dropping that much on a normal weekday.

Deepest run was 14th in the 54R on Ongame.

I'll probably give up this 5k VPP a day thing quite soon :P.

Ah very sick, haven't gotten a decent chance to read properly for a while but like others very happy for your successes thus far and I'm sure they will only continue.
Look forward to hopefully visiting you in a few months
