Hello, all

Reason for starting this thread: To have my goals written down in a public place which will hopefully motivate me to be more disciplined and work harder.

Poker goals for 2015:

1. To move to plo100 by the end of 2015
2. Play only plo 6max zoom and regular
3. Study poker at least 1 hour/day
4. Post 5 hands/day.
5. Play at least 1000 hours

Life goals:

1. Work every day
2. Exercise at least once every two days
3. Limit the amount of porn to 1-2/week
4. Eat healthy
5. Go out once a week to socialize.
6. Read/listen 2 books/month

A little about me: I am 25 year old male from Moscow, Russia. I work as a software engineer/developer. I like to play poker, exercise, play soccer, eat healthy, and beautiful women.

I will be starting at plo2 with bankroll of 110$. I will move up to plo5 when hit 250$.

Dude, I quit jerkin' it on January 2nd and my sex life has been immeasurably better ever since. Great move to make if you have a girlfriend or can get laid on a semi-regular basis.

Well, i don't have a gf so quitting altogether is a problem for me.

Day 10 hands comments:

Hand 1: I'd pot flop gii

Hand 2: wp

Hand 3: just complete pre, just don't raise that from with so many limpers, folding is better than that. On flop check/fold or check/call are ok I guess. Gotta fold to turn barrel.

Hand 4: looks good

Hand 5: Is your plan on flop to check/ship? If so I think that's a good line. Cbetting is fine too ofc, and could barrel most turns. When flop checks through I think stabbing turn is fine. You're not getting much value on River though. Check/call a bluff from missed draws would be better imo.


Day 12 hands:

Hand 1: Ship flop imo. I guess River call is fine given how you played it.

Hand 2: Right line depends too much on villain here imo.

Hand 3: Folding pre at these stakes to avoid postflop scenarios like this. Fold turn prolly best

Hand 4: Fold pre, would be a good 3bet IP OTB, but OOP in SB this is really tough hand to play. Anyways as played, I don't really like the cbet on that flop where it hits BU calling range vs 3b hard, prefer check/call flop. I guess GII OTT.

Hand 5: fold pre, junk hand. You'll flop low flushes and bottom 2 pair a lot, which will just get you in trouble. Like, the flop you got is one of the best you could ask for and you're still in a tough spot.

On a positive note: Watched Unbroken, the movie. Pretty motivating and inspiring to say the least. You guys all should check it out too. I knew the story somewhat before watching but still was very interesting throughout the whole time. I think those kind of movies are very useful to watch because they give you a good contrast bias and even if you're a depressed person you will be happy to just wake up every day. Having food on your table is also something you won't take for granted after watching that.

Took a shot at plo5 today and it went well so maybe that means i am one step closer to my goal. Next short-term goal is plo10 by the end of March.
