Hello Everyone, I am new to the site and fairly new to online poker as well. After playing my first few hundred games over the past weeks I can see how profitable HUSNG's can be with sufficient volume. However, I also have come to realize how things can go upside down in a hurry.

I plan on using this thread, inspired by the great Muhammad Ali, to keep me motivated and on track at meeting my goals.

My goal for the remainder of January will be to play just enough volume at the $15s and $30s to reach gold status and spend the rest of my time reviewing hands and discussing strategies in the thread.

For January I will be focusing more on improving my game, finding leaks, and working on a more consistent schedule. Come February I will be setting goals for ROI, Volume and Profit. No need to think too far ahead.

SN? Is that my user name? I have played poker for quite some time but not up to date on all the online lingo.

I play under FuzzyBowls on Poker Stars.

I am using the Kelly Criterion calculator to recommend what limit to play. I use a conservative approach by using a win rate of only 55% and by using only 1/2 of what the formula recommends.

Currently my bankroll sits at $800. I am not fully rolled for the 30s but am ready to move down to the $15s if necessary.

Looking at how many VPP's I will need to reach Gold status this month I need to play about 20 $30s or 40 $15s per day.

I plan to play everyday till the end of the month so 20 games per day is what I expect to put in. Maybe the odd larger session however I want to try and keep it as consistent as possible. Might try and put in 25 games here and there to get ahead of the pace. Would be nice to take a day off or two before February. January is for improvement, February is where the money will be made!

Off to a good start.

4-0 in the 30s. Was able to play a bronze star "bingo" player then rematch him for my last two games. I looked him up after he declined my match and saw him sitting at the $100 HU, an easy C-note for a lucky supernova.

5-0. Just played a perfect game vs a real solid opponent. Two interesting hands came up that I will be sharing in the Heads up Sit and Go forum but will also post them here as well.

I kept thinking screen name but that didn't make much sense for the context you had used it.

Update 13-3 for the day.

Had AA back to back which was cool. Was able to double up the first time. Second time he folded to my min raise.

Also had back to back matches that ended on the first hand.

First game I got in in good when a bronze star shoved on me with a flush draw. He hit it on the turn and won.

Very next match I 4 bet AQs against an opponent I had already played a few times today. He pushed forcing me to call, he showed 77 and I was able to win the race.

Going to play 4 more games later tonight, then follow up with another 20 tomorrow.

Finished the day off 16-4!

First day is done will play another 20 games tomorrow.

Tomorrow I am set to reach $20 in bonuses too, so should help make for a profitable day.

Currently rebuilding roll, bot not on stars anymore, hate them after 2week roll busting downer.
If u later have some $ on ipoker, would love to play few matches against you. (Assuming $1.05 to save on rake, but i can agree to play up to 20's at this point of my bankroll)
