Hey fellas,

I've been a long time low stakes sng grinder. I'm 26, engaged (to a girl), live in Victoria, BC, Canada, and am looking to pursue a career in professional golf. I'll probably use this thread to add the golf updates once events start in the spring.

I've spent most of my time on Pokerstars being told I'm going to move up, so after much too long at $15 games I am finally moving up in order to go after SNE. I'm going to be playing about 75% $60 6m hypers, and the rest $30 6m hypers.

I realized after yesterday that my game selection strategy was too strict for me to get in as many $60s as I'd like, so unfortunately I am going to be playing in some not so great $60 games at times. I'm going to be playing 200~ hours in January in order to free up some hours so I can work on my golf game as the season begins. Hopefully I can at least profit pre-rb in January, then the games should get slightly softer and my life will have more balance going forward.

I haven't been that great at connecting with fellow poker players over the last few years and I think that has tricked me into thinking I don't enjoy poker as much as I actually do, so hopefully this thread will help that along for me.

Looks like you know me well . No I don't. I'd have to crush the hell out of the $60s for a while before thinking about adding $100s, but I don't expect to crush them at all.

I'll probably have to play somewhere around 90,000 hypers. Should be about 1,500 hours give or take depending on the state of the games and how many $60s I'm able to play.

Gonna get things rolling with my coach in February, play Q-School for PGA Tour of Canada (formerly Canadian Tour) in April as long as it doesn't conflict with my wedding, and then some Vancouver Golf Tour events. That's the plan anyways, a bit dependent on how many hours I have available.

Agreed, I thought I had my reasons, and at times they were legit. Seeing it now, even though a number of the games really aren't very good, I'm not sure what I was afraid of.

I'm about to get at it for the day, going for 8 hours. I generally play in one hour sets and then get recharged in between but 8 hours of hypers isn't very good for the brain. The NHL is back though finally, as a huge Canucks fan I don't know why I'm so excited about it, but oh well.
