Sick volume on the all nighter!! Do u paly 60s now?

I sometimes play at 100s (rarely though) and will be staying there permanently soon enough hopefully.

Im very nitty with my bankroll so i want to be overrolled to comfortably play them 2-3 tabling.

Yup still happily playing 60's

Ill get to 100s, but the guys there are a bit too good for me and the 60's have been a very good cash haven for me, so no complaints.

My bad for letting this thread die a bit, my volume has been very negligible lately but I've found new motivation to put in big volume and push myself.

Come September I'm moving to Vancouver to essentially go 'pro' and be close to my wonderful girlfriend (schools out)

If anyone has a grindhouse in vancouver area let me know!

I played like 6 hours all of june but have already logged almost 15 for july, considering I usually work full-time, I'm happy.

I decided to only update monthly for the most part, I do have some new set goals though so I might as well put them down here during a fun downswing.


Month is sitting at roughly 3k profit with around 45 hours played.



Last few days of play have been a tad annoying, but I can't complain, I run real well usually



Always nice when you mix in the 100s as well


I'm staying positive and just gonna grind through this swing just like any other.

Have started staking/coaching 2 students and that really helps me keep up to date with my own game, gets the mind flowing.


My new goals to reach before september are as followed:
[ ] hit supernova, 42,618k vpp's to go!
or
[ ] make 5k profit before september starting today (so roughly 4k games at 60's with 2% roi?)


Either goal I would be happy to achieve.
I'm moving to Vancouver in september and would be real happy if I could put aside 6 months living expenses from just poker, if not, i still have money from my day job/saved up to do it anyway, but would still be nice from just poker!


Looking for a few more students to stake and coach, if anyone's got interest, hit up my staking thread

Not much to report


I've cashed out roughly 10k to cover the left over money needed for 6 months worth of living in vancouver.

July went decently after that downswing.

Ended up making about 7k with rakeback and stellar rewards.



Don't mind that for 70 hours worth of work

August has been crappy volume and just upsetting results so far:



I think im playing fine, haven't had time to play much. This may be a factor in me losing some grasp of in-game situational decisions but I'll just grind it out and see what happens.


Most people like to update when there in an upswing, screw that! Downswings and moments of loss confidence are key imo and i'll try to maintain that standard when updating.


I now have 3 students that I am staking and coaching, hope they can benefit from what I know and we can all make some monies

So just another quick update for now:

August ended half-assly



1% EV roi, but not a very big sample size.

That being said, still not very happy with it!

And september so far:



Started 3 tabling the 100s at roughly game 360

slowly building it back up, gonna try focusing more on studying and reviewing my students play for the time being.

So far at 2.2% EV roi for september but it's still not good enough.

3% EV r.o.i while 3-tabling is what I'm aiming for and hopefully i can achieve it.

Haven't updated this thread in some time so here we go.

September was my first month being full-time, I'm now fully set-up in Vancouver!

September Results:


Managed to achieve 4.1% EV roi while 3 tabling which obviously feels great

Also hit supernova for the first time ever! Hopefully I can indulge in some tasty rakeback bonuses on the side of good results now.


Now to October we go:


So far just shy of 2% EV roi but I'm really gunning for 3% if possible.

Gonna try only playing 100s when there's enough action to do so.


I have set some goals for October and a bit more long-term which follow:

October
[ ] play 4k games minimum
[ ] Rake 30k vpp's
[ ] manage 3% EV roi

And as a long-term goal:
[ ] cash-out enough money for living expenses until October 2013
[ ] Once the cash is locked up, build a fat roll, take shots, and establish myself at the 200s.


The 200s scare the crap outta me so it's going to be a hell of a personal feat for me but I'm really excited for it

Decided I'll try updating this thread a bit more frequently if possible, and during acute downswings to motivate myself.

I know I'm running over EV but it doesn't change the fact that this little dip stings at the end. Didn't play well, and got what I deserved

Profit for the month including rakeback sits at just over $3k with 2% EV roi.


I tried only playing 100s but with everyone having sharkystrator it is near impossible. Tried several sessions with only 100s and the best I did was about 15-20games/hour while attempting to 3-table. It's usually over double this amount.

I hope the issue gets taken care of soon, it's really demotivating to finally be rolled and ready to make some real cash at 100s.

Supposedly since guys from europe are closer to the server and I'm all the way on the West coast of Canada now, they can register to lobbies before I even see them! Very discouraging


Guess I'll have to play 100s during off-peak hours when they aren't as reg infested.
