Re: *HU Hypers $7s to $30s by September 29th*

Been reading up on this thread. Looking forward to following your progress.

I've been playing the HU Hyper's myself, the variance sure is fun. Happy with my play so far.

Halfway point of the day. Gona take a break to go shopping and then will carry on grinding til tea time.

Was down 16 BIs at one point. Literally so impressed with my new found ability to not tilt and just carry on as it usually results in me pulling back some buy ins like i did today. Still down about 8 for the day but i am 12 under ev so im pretty happy. Hopefully i can pull it back to even in my second session.

Very tilting day. Twice had a good run going and thought i might pull it back to even but then had another sick run of cards running in to the top of everyones range every **** time hence the drop in ev too.

Best volume day but biggest losing day too.

Cant f wait to start running somewhere near ev.

Not going to set any goals for today as I'm in work all day and have maybe 2 hours to play before hand. Hopefully can run a bit better than yesterday and rebuild my roll!

Good Luck, mate.

Just keep concentrating on decisions.
As long as you're properly 'rolled, they're the only thing that matters.

(I know you know that, but hey, a reminder can't hurt, right?)

Pretty brutal session again so many standard shove where people had me outkicked and stuff and some pretty sick coolers in there too.

All hypers

Have pretty much decimated my roll in the last 24 hours which sucks. 200 VPPs needed for a $50 bonus and i will add my current $35 of bonus money in too which will help the roll a bit.

Bankroll $350

Re: *HU Hypers $7s to $30s by September 29th*

Sat down for a 90 minute session before work and only managed 20 games before they stopped being offered because of a server restart :@

Played some 10nl 6max zoom and it was lol soft and won a buy in there to be up about $5 on the day.

I havent set many goals or put good volume in the last few days because i worked 9 hours yesterday, 8 today and 9 tomorrow. Thankfully im only working 2 days next week and have the week after booked off so im going to get some serious volume in and hopefully rebuild and get to shot take some 15s!

I know volume is key, but quality volume is probably even more important imo.

No point playing when you're knackered.

In fact, sitting out when you're tired/distracted probably gives you a significant edge v the volume monkeys who just want to get hands in at any cost.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the advice mate. The hours I quoted are the hours I have worked at my part time job this week, not the time I've spent playing poker. However I have been focussing more on volume than quality of play lately I feel so I think this weekend I will just play one table instead of 2-3 and that will allow me to play a lot better u hope. Gl.

Yep, I realised that. Goes back to what I said earlier in the thread - this kind of challenge is always going to be a lot more difficult when you have a job, especially one where you work irregular hours. And if the work itself is dull, that can be even more tiring, mentally.

GL for the weekend.

Haha yeah I see what you meant now and you were thinking on a way higher level than me lol :$

I do agree actually that working irregular hours can be detrimental to my poker as I often find myself trying to cram games in the morning before work when tired and often having only been awake 30 minutes or so. Late night sessions after a 9 hour gift probably aren't the most +EV decision decision either.

Also have some cool big news that I have just signed a contract to be backed by a reg who crushes the 60s/100s. I'm really really looking forward to making the most of this awesome opportunity and will no doubt develop as a player tenfold by the time I have played my 20k games.

I will be starting at the 7s tomorrow and hopefully can use the next 15 days to get in some really good volume and maybe even move up to the 15s.

The girlfriend goes away to Ibiza tomorrow ad this combined with a week booked off work and then only 2 shifts next week is the reason I have got so much time to grind. Going to be aiming for 200 games a day for the period and maybe even more depending on my backers opinions of quality vs quantity.

pfff no mention of the super pro 180 smasher named djleet who also backs you. Just joking, wish you luck with this and hope we can help you crush higher stakes soon.

Re: *HU Hypers $7s to $30s by September 29th*

Hey guys sorry for the lack of updates lately.

These are all my hands for the last 48 hours.

upload picture

I started playing for john and pat at -$50 on that graph. So im up about $80 for them so far.

My ev has started to flatten lately which is a little concern but i guess the sample size is meaningless.

I will now update my staking bankroll not my actual own money, so i guess everything upto now has been a warm up.

I will post the profit since being staked and write what my roll is. My roll wont actually grow much as we do profit splits every sunday but i can still include how much i am up total for the stake.

Profit $83.70
