When you incorporate all stakes into one graph it doesn't really give the reader a clear picture of how you are doing. Sure they can see how much you've won, but it says that in the information box when you display graph in bb anyway. All that's going to happen is when you go on an upswing/downswing at 25nl your all time money graph is going to look ******ed. If you're not going to be persuaded fine, but post the bb graph anyway please

As for an update, haven't played a great deal this week. Have had a lot on with work and also with cricket - functions to attend (and arrange), matches to play, meetings etc...

Hope to get some volume in over this weekend. Still playing mainly 2NL Zoom with a little 5NL thrown in. If I get another good week or 2 of 2NL in I hope to make the transition to 5NL with some 10NL shots thrown in.

Nice little session of 2NL tonight. Feel like I'm losing the minimum most times when behind and picking up a lot of dead money betting in the right spots. Hopefully can pick up another 10-20 BIs at this level and then leave it behind.

Not exactly sure where I'm at as I generally haven't been checking the cashier. I'd guesstimate I'm at about 50 BIs for 5NL though. I realise I'm well rolled for it and I've been mixing in some shots but seeing as I got myself down to 2NL I wanted to prove I could beat it for a decent clip before leaving it behind, rather the just moving up because I'm rolled for it.

With your shot taking are you mixing in a 5NL Zoom table or a Reg table?

Interested what the VPP/hand is like at 2NL as well. Any sort of kickback whatsoever?

Cheers Grim. A bit of reg and Zoom. Running pretty well at Zoom and not so well at reg which is kin of weird because the reg tables I've played at have always been fish infested.



Perhaps I haven't adjusted well enough - either to the fishier player type or the slower pace of the game. Will need to make some adjustments for the reg stuff.

Re: VPP. I honestly don't know. I just play and never pay that much attention. When I clear a bonus I always grab it but don't pay much mind to how many hands and at what stakes it takes to earn a certain amount.

Just played a fairly short session but going to stop and go for a run now as things just aren't working today.

In overall terms I'm happy with my play. I see my numbers for that session were around 22/19 which is getting to around the goal and I generally made good decisions. Was just a case of variance hitting me so will clear the head with a run rather than playing when i feel I could start losing focus.

Down about 1.5 BIs for the session which is pretty much down to these two hands.

Well I ended up running 16km yesterday and then took the family ten pin bowling. Was exhausted by the end of the day and having just woken, still feeling really sluggish this morning.

Played a little bit of poker later in the day and played well again but it just wasn't my day so I cut the losses and walked away. In fact I think I broke even or just ahead in the later session but was still getting outdrawn in the bigger pots a lot which was enough for me to call it quits.

Found I was making a few calls on the river I shouldn't have out of sheer "c'mon, not again" type of mindset.

I'm playing a bit of 5NL Reg, which is what I did yesterday. However mainly I prefer Zoom.

Funnily enough, and I think I've mentioned this earlier, the Reg tables I've sat at are usually infested with fish but I just haven't had the big pots fall my way. The hand above is fairly indicative of how I've run when I've had a hand against a fish. They're making gutshots to break my sets, getting in AT v my AA preflop and somehow making a four on the board flush.........that type of thing.

There is definitely profit there though. Just need a few hands to hold up.

Well as someone who played a fair amount of both, always preferring Zoom when I just start — I simply don't understand people who continue there. The reg tables ARE infested with fish and with table selection you make the game at least x2 easier.

To each his own though.

After a few flat days where I wasn't at my best and couldn't get anything going I finally started to make a slight recovery today, picking up 3-4 BIs. Glad to say no real damage was done the past few days though. Just accepted it for what is was - a period where things just weren't falling my way. No tilt and no stacking off light.

Really good for your mindset playing 2NL, knowing the pots will come if you keep making the right decisions, and that you have around 125+ BIs for that level even if things aren't working.

I've also noticed that I'm naturally finding that bit more aggression in my game. My button steals are up, my 3bet numbers are up (especially in position) and my overal VPIP/PFR are both up a few points.

Also finding it easier to let go and fold the hands I know I should (most of the time) and picking up a lot of pots with the right sized bets at the right time.

Overall pretty happy with my progression at 2NL. Will keep with this level, with a little 5NL mixed in, for the rest of February and then hopefully leave it behind come March.

So I have still been playing but have simply got a little lazy with updates.

First half of February was quite productive at 2NL but the second half of the month has stagnated where I am just breaking even (better than losing I suppose).

Will keep playing until month's end and then update with BR, stats and graphs. Will also look to make more of an effort to post some hands/strat talk for discussion.

Another month complete and I still have a bankroll. That's good right!?!?!

It's been a steady but slow progression. From $100 -> $195.40 (Jan) -> $279.10 (Feb).

Spent most of the month at 2NL and 5NL with a brief hit and run at 16NL and 25NL when I get a little bored, and results were breakeven for a stretch . Was really keen to sample 16NL Zoom to see if it was as fishy as I recall the 16NL reg tables. Pleased to say it was.

Anyway I watched a lot of leakfinder vids this month and felt I was able to apply a bit of it to my game. Mostly in regards to button stealing and 3 betting some more, especially in late position and against raises that have a high % of steal involved. Was also able to identify better cbet spots (or not to) and appropriate cbet sizing. Not sure how obvious the increased aggression will be in the stats but I feel it is noticeable when I'm playing.

Will leave 2NL behind now and play 5NL and 10NL for March and hopefully start getting the BR increasing a little more, and releasing a few more cash bonuses along the way.

Put him on something really strong that wasn't the flush and thought my shove would look fishy, like I was trying to buy the pot, and get a call. Got just what a wanted - a call. So this post is about this hand specifically but also about this type of situation in general.

We flop big and we get a little action. The board is wet enough with straight and flush draws so I'd rather bet/raise than give a free card but there is always the risk of blowing them off their hand with aggression.

Is betting/raising generally best option here or is there a more optimal line?
