Hey fellow 2+2ers!

While all the cool kids were writing their own pgc threads I was thinking to put one up myself, so here I am.

Since the beginning of October poker has become a part of my weekly schedule. I can't call myself a full time player because I also started university this semester, studying computer science.

Currently my weekly schedule looks really simplistic, like this:

-2 days/week mtt poker sessions
-rest university+studying+workout
-on rare occasions partying/social events

My main long term goals is to make a sexy giraffe out of this:

I take this very seriously even if I am not grinding 24/7. My volume will be around 400 mtts a month with buy ins up to 33$ and some sngs here and there.

I hope that adding some irl struggles to this will make it worth a read. This will definitely be a long grind combined with the real life part.

Looking forward to some subscribers and constructive discussions!

Legggoooo !!

Here are the goals for October

Poker related
[ ] Get in 400 mtts
[ ] take as many player notes as possible
[ ] start using icmizer
[ ] review 1 mtt in the weekend from start to finish
[ ] prepare for first ever ept Main Event

Non poker
[ ] get on top of things at uni
[ ] work out 4 times a week before I start the day
[ ] keep girlfriend happy
[ ] do something interesting/out of the ordinary once a month
[ ] find a healthy life-uni-poker balance

Have a lot of the non poker ones to catch up with.

Poker wise this month started with a profit and then some losing sessions to put me a little above b/e. I'll be back soon if I have something interesting to say.

Hey everyone!

Finished university today and walked a bit to grab something to eat. I took some pictures on the way to my favourite Vietnamese place in Vienna

Vienna is an amazing city to live in. Because of the very diverse cultural palette people are open minded and in general nice to each other. More to follow.

The food:

This dish is called "Bun". While it doesn't look like much , it is just mouthwatering. It's a mixture of rice noodles with beef, smashed peanuts and some very tasty spices and herbs. Absolutely recommend this place, I doubt you will find a cheaper/better alternative.

I will put in a session on Stars.eu today starting now and will update when I finish.

Wish you all a great day!

Good luck with turning the camel into a giraffe, that is some silly downswing after that bink. What kind of games does that graph consist of? 25k mtts is quite a lot...

Lol nice one. Generally it consists of splashing around till the bink and then of around 8k games at every buy in up to 320$ I could find for 6 months. I'm a perfect example of those cases of early binks that lead to a false reality and wrong approach to the game. That line might be partly because of a downswing but I am not going to use that as an excuse. I have played in games I should've not played in and it lead to that loss. Luckily it didn't influence me irl and I snapped out of it in time.

I improved a lot this year but I still have to go the distance. The right tools and support are on my side and we should see some results soon !

Will post a summary from my last session when I get home from class.

Have a nice day everyone!

Today I felt really tired because I closed my last table around 3AM my time. Because of this I didn't really put in any studying after classes. I want to set up my grinding schedule on weekdays so that it ends by 1AM the latest.

Yesterday I played a total of 49 mtts and 16 180 man sngs.

total Buy Ins: 769,74
profit/loss: -222,18

Some hands that I am not 100% sure of

PokerStars Hand #142154475541: Tournament #1339475581, $25+$25+$5 USD Hold'em No Limit - Level IV (25/50) - 2015/10/13 17:21:35 CET [2015/10/13 11:21:35 ET]

I had 2 previous hands with him where I check raised the river and he folded, but those played out a bit differently. His 4x raise was different from his previous opens so it seemed suspicious. With the small sizing of the cbet and the turn bet I thought he might have 66-QQ or maybe AK. Then the very small bet on the river convinced me more that he had a rather weak pair like 66,99,TT and I went for thin value. I think I'll get my value there often enough, but not 100% sure.

I actually had more hands that I wanted to note but I couldn't find a way in hm2 to mark hands for future review. Does anyone know if it's possible to mark them like in PT4? I might just have to switch softwares because hm2 has been pissing me off lately!

My next session will be on Saturday most likely as I have some serious studying to catch up with.

Will be back here soon enough!

I played a session yesterday which ended pretty frustrating. Made the final table of the big 22 and busted after 10 minutes in 9th with TT vs 88 on 789dd flop vs the chipleader.

Also made a couple of ft's in 3,5+r SNGs but all in all I ended only like 20$ in profit for the 13 hour session.

I felt really down as I closed my laptop last night. After taking a minute and reflecting on things I quickly got over it and today I woke up quite happy and ready for the coming week. Today I have to study and meet some deadlines for two of my courses at university. This week I will focus on my studies 80% of the time and put in a session on Friday. Sunday I am leaving for Malta and I am super excited!

I also wanted to post some hands for discussion, as I had some interesting spots vs. competent and not so competent players alike. Because of multi tabling I didn't really have the chance to pick out those hands. Does someone know how to mark hands in hm2 for later review? I know that's really easy in pt4 but I just can't figure it out in hm2.

I will probably post some photos of the city/various stuff these days. Thanks for the read!

While studying I opened up a couple of turbos aaaaaand....

Made dinner after that for me and the mrs. Some pasta with shrimp in a white wine sauce, that looked like this

Cooking is one of my hobbies and I get really relaxed while doing it.
Will finish my work for uni now, as the deadline gets near.

This week was kind of low volume but I managed to put in some early sessions when my schedule allowed it.

Made 3 final tables last 2 days, two in 33$ fo and one in a 2+r turbo. They where all small fields though, so profit for the two days is meh, 500ish $.

It's possible that I put in a last session in an hour or so, before leaving for Malta on Sunday morning. I watched some hours of live stream reruns from previous epts, just to see how the atmosphere is and if there are some specific aspects. Didn't note anything unusual so I guess I'll have to see myself. Will post an update with photos when I get there.
