Hi - Good luck with this - you seem to be going very well at the moment.

Can i ask why you play such short sessions?

I didn't play long yesterday because I had a birthday party to attend. In general I do need to start playing longer sessions. I was kind of used to playing 2 to 3 hours online every morning. It was so convenient to wake up log on and fire up 16 tables. It takes me 1.5 hours each way getting to the cardroom I play at. Investing more time and lengthing my sessions is something I need to improve on in the coming month.

Re: Grinding up a bankroll to move to Vegas

I played 7 hours today and won $66. This is the last session of the month for me. I played 76% of the hours I wanted to play this month, I obviously have room for improvement here but am pretty satifisfied with to volume I did put in. I've made acceptable progress toward building a $4k bankroll and am now in the light green zone. Overall I'm am feeling very confident in my game and am looking forward to continuing the grind in June.

I am aiming for 160 hours this month. I want to say that Phil Ivey's statement has solidified his place as a true ambassador of poker by standing with the players and calling on Full Tilt to fulfill it's obligation to US players.

Re: Grinding up a bankroll to move to Vegas

I took 3 days off. Yesterday I played 3.5 hours and won $499 my second best session of the year. Today I played 6 hours and won $136. My win streak is at 9 sessions. My personal best is 11 in a row set in March and April this year, hopefully I can top it. I am going to start deducting my wage and travel expenses from my bankroll weekly instead of after every session. Definitely happy with the way I have started the month.

Total hours played- 9.5
Average hourly winrate- $67
Current bankroll- $3608

2011 YTD

Re: Grinding up a bankroll to move to Vegas

I played 12 hours today and won $10. The table conditions were not very good, but I still managed to keep the streak alive. I really haven't come across any hands that I have trouble with. Perhaps when I start playing deeper I will run into some tougher spots and can post a hand for opinions.

I've decided I'm going to give myself some incentive this month. I will buy myself a new cell phone if I play more than 160 hours and win more than I have in any prevoius month this year. The one I have is 3 years old so I think it is past time to upgrade to an iphone or something similar.

June 2011

Total hours played- 21.5
Average hourly winrate- $30
Current bankroll- $3618

2011 YTD

Total hours played- 217
Average hourly winrate- $18
Winnings- $4018
