In almost all the bars on KC, you can find anything. But it's not like "HEY COME IN MY BAR I SELL DRUGS", you just have to know who to ask, and who not to ask (I mean, if you want to buy drugs). But yeah, anyway, this is not a upstanding establishment.

How do you get visas for 2 yrs? Whereabouts on the island are you staying?
I had 3 touristic visas (6 months each), and 1 year student visa (with thai classes on skype). And now I don't realy know what I will do next. I can have a new passport (because I have too many touristic visas now), or I can take a new student visa (I'm not sure yet). I'll have to go to my school next week, and ask them.

the longer grinding hours will come with practice
never could grind more than 1h30 .. I'll try to have a 2 hours session tomorrow, but that's realy difficult. Maybe the badrun makes it more difficult. Whatever.

So far, the graph looks like this :

Still 10kh to level up. Kind of boring to play nanostakes, but I"m ok with it.
my main issue is I can't play long sessions, and I spew .. a little bit. But even 100bb of spew is 1bb/100 on 10kh. which is a lot.

If someone posts a really good solution too grinding more hours Id love too hear it myself!

Im playing 25NL and I can only play for about 1-2hours a day even though I should be playing more with the time I have off from work!

So I can relate too that.

One problem I have is always wanting a winning session too show up in my holdem manager graph so If I clip a decent profit, Ill stop playing.

one solution someone posted was comes with pratice. hope so.

^stop being results oriented, and more A game and +ev oriented. Stop checking hm/pt mid session and just play ur best. If u feel u aren't then take a short break and then jump back in. If u can only play 1-2 hours a day due to ur issue, try making that your session length and do 2-3 sessions. With 5-10 min breaks in between or longer if needed

Tldr if u can play 6 hours but your attn span is 1.5 the play 4 sessions of 1.5 hour length

thanks for the tip. I will try that.

I know I CAN do 6-8 hour sessions if required because I used to grind MTT's that long...

but 6 max cash is a different beast plus im new too it, and you can quit at any time.

But I will try not to be results oriented your right on that, need to stop checking hold em manager every 5minutes too see im up or down.

Exactly, if u have to fold river ur redline going to go down but if it was +ev to fold then it was your A game. And if u didnt fold ur blue line woulda went down even further anyway lol and hm won't keep track of your ev decisions unfortunately (no, all in ev doesn't count for all your ev)

I dont want to hi jack buddys thread too much but I gotta ask:

my redline has been steadily upwards over 4K hands (thats my total hands, small I know) and I gotta draw the conclusion that because im not winning my winnings due to allin's,

im winning them due to skill and outplaying my opponent's, bluffing all though it would include if I just ran good and bet my villian off the hand too.

is that a fair conclusion?

cause bluffing is a hudge part of my game. I do it too much probably but at 25NL it seems to be +EV , I dare say. probably not higher stakes though if you overdid it.

If u are a redline player then your blue line should only go slightly downward or be flat, either is fine if your green is upward. But if your green is down too then u are probably being too agressive and getting picked off too much. Maybe tone it down just a bit and find some spots to just give up on the hand

Lynx9292: When you feel ready to quit a session after just an hour, close a table or two but carry on concentrating on the remaining table or tables you have left for as long as you can, even if just for another half an hour, but aim for an hour. Then finish when you've had enough.

When you have a break, take yourself completely away from the computer and poker, walk to the local shop, have some lunch, a 30 minute nap helps me too. Give yourself at least an hour away. When you feel refreshed try to play for a longer session again.

6 max does require more attention than FR I feel, so sometimes when im tired I'll stick to FR and just play a few tables. GL

Sorry for the derail, I still enjoy reading your progress

Why not do 55 minute sessions with 5 min break?

This way you can grind long easier.

This thread is rather useless, I am too lazy to post interesting things, and I don't see the point posting daily / weekly graphs.

Anyway :

I can not stick to my schedule, I am even far from it. 8 hours of grinding everyday is just impossible for me. Maybe I should change it, to be more realistic. For the moment, everyday I grinded 4k hands on average. It's less than my expectations, but I'm not unhappy about it. I should aim 5kh, but it's difficult.

whatever

Some photos of Koh Chang in Thailand :

Yeah ... I grind on a laptop I should buy a screen soon.

you should really try to be at least a bit more aggressive with your br. you will learn a lot more and a lot faster that way.
