Ontario, I'm going to play live for a bit, micro stakes tilts me because I can't win enough. If I'm going to play 10 hours a day I might as well play live, (I have teh manies.)

Then I'll put 2k, and crush heads up like a beast.

i feel like you and i are in somewhat the same boat. me too my living arrangements are less then ideal and I do get frustrated by the meager earnings at micro stakes. Trying to find a solution to both.

Well if I didn't have the money to play live I would be forced to grind for 1-2 months but it's so absurd to play 13/12/5 in zoom and just nut peddle all day. At best my hourly could be $2 at 2nl, and more at 5nl, but if I can afford to play live, and it's much softer and have a greater hourly it's pretty much a snap call.

I did notice a few things in low stakes MTTs as well, in low stakes MTTs you pretty much have to run good, and hope the fish pay you off and get it in light. The same applies for cash games, you just gotta hope for some mega fish to spew buy ins.

I'm not saying it's unbeatable, I am saying it's unbearable. With what i won at 2nl, I played some MTTs ran good, but I cannot see how anyone who isn't 4-8 tabling zoom, can honestly move up stakes starting with like $40. As well as decent hours as well (like 5+ hours a day)

If things get tough, I will be forced to grind, but i know I am a winner (over 130k hands) and would not even sweat it. But tomorrow I am going to play live, for the first time ever! It helps that i have like 600k hands of experience, so I pretty much will soul own these punks.

Than grind until I got like 2k and put it online, and play HU. Updates will come obv.

flop bet is bad. you have outs and you're lighting your hand on fire.
turn call is horrible (he has a lot of Kx and Qx here and you have no bluff equity on the river
prob snap river so at least this street was played well

overall you have lol (lots of leaks) and unless you get them fixed you will be playing only for fun and fun alone. which is totally cool btw..I didn't read your goals.

This is never a fold, but i don't make these plays anymore just because there is no point of these plays at zoom.

My thinking was pretty much that a min raise on the flop is often a draw, when the turn/river bricks he's dead.

If he hit the runner runner flush with say 910ss, they would bet near pot.

The problem obviously with these kinds of calls is some players are just dumb and will do this as you said with some retarded AQ or weak king, or whatever.

Like it hard to make such a play when your opponents don't actually think consistently, unless you have some notes or whatever. But the time I'd waste with notes to make so ace high call vs playing nitty and nud peedling is a clear cut choice.

I obviously didn't win ~$185 over 120k hands of 2nl by making ace high calls. If you got to see a lot of my other hands I will fold AA to a 3x raise on a non 3 bet pot, especially if multiway.

But thats why I hate micros, every play that is made is just a random reckless play that makes no sense, you'll bet say a 375 board and they call with q8 off, or some people who will flat like 99 on a ajx or something.

But like I said it's obviously beatable just I can't do it for longer than 100k hands,

Thanks for your comments

Re: Goal: MicroStakes Grinder

Trip Report

I played 1/2 at casino niagara got there like at 2:30 without getting on waitlist (by calling) and ended up waiting till 5, and played.

At first I sorta played a 6 max game or raising with lots of c bet but it just made me bleep ~$90. I then made it $25 after nitting it up with 79 sooted, and some asian woman shipped.

I called and tell her "I love you long time" and she has Jacks obv.

Than I rebuy like a superstar, and decide I'm going to crush, game got short handed for liek 5-6 hands and I just kept stealing dead maney from limpers, and won like $30.

Than I get KK like mid position with $229, I open to $15 (lol sizing) one nit calls, a semi tag calls, asian lady says $100 dolla. It goes to me, and I ship it after a little hollywood like I'm disgusted.

THe nit calls and has AKo, the lady tanks for 5 secs and calls with 22. I lolz, and I flip over KK. The dealer tanks, and slow rolls the flop A27 Q x. I lolz, and dumb asian lady says "yea ship it" and i leave and go home.

But I just love live poker, the action is great, the experience is awesome. After 600k hands online with nits at micros it's so nice to play spew monkeys at 1/2.

I am in a position where i can play as many hours of 1/2 if only some one can stake me! But I do have some of my own money still, I had a $400 stop loss today.

I'm going again monday!

But the games are super soft, after about 15 mins I have a soul read on every player and can play perfectly. After i rebought after my spew with 79ss, I pretty much played super solid, and just destroyed everyone. Than got sucked out on.

THe nit beside me kept fallting AK/AQ/AA it was so sick. Everytime in late position he has a ****ing hand, flat, raises my cbet and shows me his hand

**** I can't wait to crush the games.
