I am more than capable of doing this I just got a little side tracked in June/July with playing MTTs, moving up to were I degen my roll and so forth.




This goal isn't purely vanity (zomg I can play 500k hands) I actually want to play this much since I'm kinda poor (well not kinda...) and 500k hands of 2nl would pay my bills (~$730). Not that I am relying on poker to support myself, but it would be nice to have some extra $, save up, move up to where I can achieve supernova elite.

500k hands on NL2? Why don't you just go to NL5 after 100k hands, you should have sufficient BR if everything goes smoothly.

Yeah dude, if you're a winning player grinding 500k hands of 2nl is just insanely stupid. What is the point of mindlessly grinding for peanuts? Your time would be much better invested starting at 5nl/10nl with an aggressive move up / down strategy.

I have been playing 4x6max 25nl Zoom and only get about 800 hands per hour. Are you sure you are getting 1200? Are you super fast folding a lot and playing very tight?

Yes, I can get about ~1400, but playing 12/10/5 which is not terrible at 2nl, but i am losing a lot of value in not stealing from co/btn/sb my steal att went from like 28% to like 19% over those 200k hands. And I have been not winning as much as my first 100k hands.

But I think hands/hour is a silly thing to go after, since the real goal is profit. in the first 50k hands i was stealing much more, barreling much more, and profiting more aswell, (playing like 15/12/7) than I tightened up a lot, and I had rougly the same hourly, but smaller bb/100.

ok woke up, at 6 am and will start crushing in an hour. I didn't need deposit money since I min cashed the PokerStars 100k VIP (for Goldstar+) for 25$ and grinded that up for a few days at zoom, while testing my new strategy.

Yes I completely agree hands per hour is silly to go after, that is why I was surprised you got so many hands per hour.

12.5 hours a day is huge! Do you think you are likely to do it?

That seems very conservative for the small step from NL2 to NL5 - try 20BIs at most. I would say NL2 plays quite similarly to NL5. Then a bit of a jump to NL10, which then plays similarly to NL25. Then NL50 seems to play differently again. That's certainly my experience, anyway. I think you'll have trouble being as nitty as you move up, though.

I think I am improving the hands per hours now. I am using hotkeys to quickfold/checkfold, auto open to 3x, 4x, 5x, 3 bet to 6x (vs min open), 9x, and 12x. Auto cbet pot % of 4 different amounts (54%/64%/74%/89%).

I also just for the hell of it have a hotkey for all in, just to auto jam like a boss.

That is my setup.

I only say 12.5 hours assuming a certain hands per hour to achieve 500k, in a 31 day month. However if that number goes up, the hours I play goes down.

The hotkey may make my hands per hour go to 1450-1900+, I need to test it over a 5 hour sample to get a good number.



Yea, I just can't grind 1 table, playing very tight vs and hoping for the one spew monkey to spew.

Yea I noticed, hopefully i take it one limit at a time, and just do session reviews every 25k-50k hands to get an idea for how often to cbet flop/turn/river, 3 bet more or less, cbet in 3 bet pots more or less etc.

I'll update every 100k hands. It's go time! (done about 9k today, bit slow today)
