I don't use BRM. Because going broke is not an issue with my roll. I lost 1k at 25nl so I'm just starting off at 10nl. Soon I'll move up again to 25nl.

I'm in the same situation but I'm playing 4NL, taking shots at 10NL from time to time but it went pretty awful when I did. I would be interested to know how do you feel that you are ready to move up and take a shot again? Doing it when you get enough $ is pretty simple because you only need to fix a BRM but when the psychology plays a big role I don't really know how to deal with it.

Yeah, you seem to have the exact same problem as I do. The only remedy is keep trying and hope for some profit so you start to feel comfortable at that stake. At 10nl I have a 9bb/100 wr because I don't give a s**t when I lose $10. When I lose $25, I feel bad because it is the 3 millionth 25 dollars that I lose at the stake. So it starts to be a prestige kinda thing in my head This confirms again how important the mental side of it is. Hope I soon don't give a sh*t at $25 :P

Today was a bad day pokerwize. Couldn't put in volume and the hands that I played, I lost. Also I tried to create some notes in NoteCaddy but WTF!!? That software is veeeery complex!! I thought NC would come with a lot of notes. But When u buy NC you have to put in a lot of effort to make use of it. I wanted to have a note for= fold vs. BTN open when in BB or SB= +70%.. And create a badge for that...

No f*cking way that I'll manage to do that within a month.. It is NASA software. Anyone has got some tips for that? Where can I buy notes or learn to make them easily myself?

The size<-->strength graph in my hud is very helpful though!

It is complex but it's very difficult to make something where you can make pretty much any stat and it be very easy to use. I made the badge though and recorded it

There is one part that got cut off. I right click the definition then clicked "analyze". This way I could find all players who would have the badges. Also the HUD didn't show up in the recording but the badge definitely showed for that player

I started with zoom.

But i had to move back to 5nl. Lost 25bi at 10nl in 2 sessions. All because i completed like 0 draws, bluffs failed, when i reraised a value hand everyone folded, running with KK like 8 times against AA etc.

Pretty demoralizing.


The most terrible hands were stacking top set on flop vs overpair and villain got runner runner for quads. Lost almost 3 buyins with that hand.

Or flopping a straight flush, getting it in vs A high flush. He made his royal flush on the river.

Or i 4 bet a fish with AA, he calls. Flop comes 99A, went allin on the flop. He showed quads 9.

I run continously into the top of villains range, or they hit there one or 2 outers.

Now grinding 5nl again, and hope to get some confedence back and after that starting 10nl.

Sounds bad indeed! I don't wanna start cliché-ing, but try not to be result oriented. Don't be scared to lose. Just relax and make solid decisions. There might be some selective memory in ur thinking atm. We'll talk

I know 😉. But it is a terrible start. I reviewed some hands, and in hindsight i made some mistakes + plus a lot of coolers and bad beats.

Do you stack off AK and QQ vs unknown villains? Because i reviewed my hands, and the only hands that went all-in were AA, KK, but rarely QQ and AK or JJ. Or is it me just having bad luck and running into villains top range.

One big leak i should plug is less calling down with medium hands. Because ranges are much tighter in zoom as in normal poker.

Finally school storm is sort of over. I played a little bit within my school work sessions.
