GL with the challenge. Is there any chance you could post a link to your hud?

Re: Fund 12 months around the world playing cards
My HUD is pretty basic. I have a lot of the stats color coordinated and the colors match my notes system eg. very tight preflop stats will show light blue and I also color nits light blue. Theres a link and an image below.

Poker
I have moved to 100nl. I still had 1/2 a dozen BI at 200nl before I hit my official move down point but I decided to bit the bullet and move down early. I actually regret not moving earlier and I'm going to adjust my moving up and down points in the future. Played 5k odd hands at the hundo yesterday and felt really comfortable. Small sample, but I definitely noticed a difference in the quality of the regs. I haven't played this low for months so I don't have many recent hands on a lot of the players (except the ones that mix 200nl and 400nl) and it will take a bit of time to get my color scheme going.
$50 to anyone who sees me playing higher than 100nl before I post a screenshot of my cashier with $13,000 in it.

Re: Fund 12 months around the world playing cards
No problems, heres what it looks like in game.
I use the HUD predominantly to find leaks in my opponents I can exploit. In the guy above for example:
- vpip/pfr seem pretty normal for a TAG 14/11
- steals much more from btn than sb (good imo) so I'm not going to play back against sb as much as bth
- 4.6% 3b is on the higher end and fold to 4b is 67% so he looks like a good candidate for some light 4 betting
- Against 3bet he folds 85%, 4bets 7% and calls 8%. This is going to be a pretty big leak and very exploitable by 3betting the **** out of him with a polarized range of mostly bluffs and KK/AA and flatting mid strength hands (KQ, AQ, JJ etc).
Overall he seems like a competent TAG albeit a quite "fit/fold". In game I use the big box to find position stats mainly but also more obscure stuff like check/raise, flop/raise and donk %'s
Hope that helps

Re: Fund 12 months around the world playing cards
Your welcome. I'm actually planning to make another video today at 100nl I wasn't planning on uploading it but it seems some people are getting some benefit so I think I will. I've said it before but making videos is a great tool for learning and improving. Watching yourself out of game you are often able to spot your own leaks an pick up on stuff that while your multi-tabling it's pretty easy to miss.

Recorded a couple small sessions but Camtasia messed it up somehow . No matter, I will try again tomorrow.
Poker
Reasonable day today, played 4 sessions and came out on top each time.
Bought the $1k bonus from the BlackCard store today too and started working on releasing it which will do some much needed repair to the bankroll.
Biggest winning hand:
Squeezer was 20/9 with 2.1 3b so I felt really good about set mining oop as deep as we were. I tried to size my x/r so as to have a good size left to shove the turn but messed up a little. I would have like about $82 which would wave left ~$166 into $205 but worked out anyway

Biggest losing hand:
Villain here is 17/15, O.K. with how I played this hand but in review I notice his x/r flop is only 3% so I think I prefer to flat it as I doubt he does this with anything other than a set and with 25% equity against sets I almost have direct odds and am pretty sure enough implied odds to justify drawing to a .

Re: Fund 12 months around the world playing cards
I know, it's been tough to find the motivation to update when I've been running so bad. I will make more of an effort to keep this thread bumped in the future.
I wish I moved down earlier, I feel much better about poker just after a couple days at 100nl. My sn on FTP is the same as here I hope. I'm back at 200nl and 400nl soon

Re: Fund 12 months around the world playing cards
Only played a small session in the morning today.
Got a 30th party tonight so I had to spend the day preparing food etc. for the party. Won't be able to play much tomorrow either because I've somehow managed to blag my way into a Grand Prix party .

Re: Fund 12 months around the world playing cards
Hey Choice. I'm planning on making a similar trip later this year so i'll be following this thread with great interest. Hoping to play a bit of poker while travelling too, so I'm especially interested to hear how you get on with playing over public connections etc.
Good luck! Keep updating with lots of pics when you get out there!

Re: Fund 12 months around the world playing cards
Cool Cool, I'll definitely make some posts about the nuts and bolts of playing poker while travelling, what works and what doesn't.
Poker
Last couple days have been pretty swingy but ultimately break-even. Pretty happy for the most part with how I've been playing, definitely made a few mistakes but I'm feeling pretty comfortable at 100nl. The only real issues I've been having is not having samples on regs/semi-regs and having to play "in a vacuum" without reads.
At ~71.5k hands for the month with 2.5 days remaining to hit 80k I'm on track to get there.
New video just finsished uploading, you can download it here made a few mistakes but got into a few interesting spots too, if you watch it please feel free ask questions or make comments.
Travel
Take off is just round the corner now, less than a week to go!! Renting our apartment furnished hasn't been working out so we have decided to put everything is storage. The place is a mess at the moment, stuff everywhere in various stages of packedness. Got a huge list of stuff that needs to be done before we go and I'm slowly working my way though it.
