Good evening. Didn't play much yesterday and today. But yesterday I had first coaching session with Victor from IveyLeague. Went pretty smooth, we mostly discussed preflop strategy and, in the end, some about constructing x/c range otf as pfr. As for beginning my homework is to set goals and to make a plan how am I going to approach it.
For the whole coaching period my goal is to beat 25 zoom.
As for now, until I still have to work 4-5 hours refitting my apartment I am going to set this schedule for myself:
Weekdays:
8.00 Wake up
8.00 - 9.00 exercise, breakfast, shower
9.00 - 11.00 Study for two hours (no matter what is the top priority at that time, either a mental game studies or working on my strategy)
11.00 - 12.00 Lunch time, watching 1 video
12.00 - 17.00 Working at my apartment
18.00 - 20.00 Yoga classes (4 times a week, Fridays replace it with grinding)
20.00 - 21.00 Dinner, shower
21.00 - 23.00 Grind time
23.00 - 00.00 Quick review, update this thread, get to bed.
For weekends my plan is mostly to grind as much as possible and mix it with working at apartment, cause at weekends my roommate sometimes help me, so I can't refuse it, since work is going a lot faster. I'm also planning to have 1 day off - which means no poker at all that day. It'll usually be Sunday or Saturday, since those days my gf isn't working. I feel like day off is needed for me also not to get burned out.
As for studying I will start with mental game, since It has biggest impact to my game at the moment. When grinding, I am sticking to tight preflop strategy we discussed during the coaching session. Playing not more then 3 tables, to make every preflop decision more precise. It looks something like this:
Moved down to 10z for now, to get comfortable with new preflop strategy. Also BRM tells to do so, since payed 315 for coaching.
About the results these two days. Yesterday played some nice 16z just before the coaching, ran pretty hot in a small field of 60 or smth. Last 1.2k is after coaching, when I moved down to 10z. Played only 1 hour each day. Will try to put in more volume tomorrow.
Posting only few spots from 10z. Have to get to bed already.

Turn: ($28.76) 9 (2 players, 2 are all-in) River: ($28.76) 5 (2 players, 2 are all-in)
Spoiler:
Results: $28.76 pot ($1.29 rake)
Final Board: Q T 3 9 5
Hero showed A A and won $27.47 ($13.59 net)
BB showed A K and lost (-$13.88 net)
CO mucked and lost (-$1 net)
#2 Tanked here, his raise small/bet small/ 2x pot shove line made no sense:
Evening. Volume wasn't that big as I expected. Played ~2.6k: 2k of 10z and ~600 of 16z. Felt really comfortable with my game and new preflop strategy, so decided to play one session of 3-tabling 16z. Caught few bad beats, had a chance to try and apply injecting logic technique from Jared Tendlar's book. Worked pretty good, Think it's a good method to remain focused and remove tilt from early on when it just starts accumulating.
Would love to play more on Friday, but don't want to mess up my regime again.
Had a day off on Saturday (played only one 45 min sesh). The weather was really nice, +18 or smth. Went roller skating. Did ~80 kilos, can't feel my legs today Made 7x 45m today, went pretty good. Still made few lose river calls. All bluff shoves went through wich adds a lot. Failed bluff shove is insta tilt trigger to me I guess. Also did some mental hand history recording. Started to write down how I feel after lost pot, mistake made or getting sucked out. It's kind of mental hand history. Not sure how will I use it yet, but I'll figure it out. Posting graph and most questionable hands:
#1 Think pre is std given pot odds. Don't think SB is cc/flating 4b AA or KK pre, so basicly 99-JJ (50/50). Also wouldn't give hime 89s/9Ts.
Results: $46.90 pot ($1.50 rake)
Final Board: T 8 2 9 A
SB showed J J and lost (-$20.73 net)
Hero showed Q Q and won $45.40 ($24.67 net)
MP mucked and lost (-$5.44 net)
Results: $10.88 pot ($0.49 rake)
Final Board: A 3 7 3 9
SB mucked and lost (-$5.36 net)
Hero mucked Q K and won $10.39 ($5.03 net)
#14 Caught myself overbet shoving 4b pots oop few times this week. Think it looks bluffy, and is definitely getting called by QQ-KK. Will try to get rid of this move, since checking this flop is way better obv.
Preflop: Hero is UTG with A A
Hero raises to $0.48, MP calls $0.48, CO calls $0.48, BTN raises to $2.08, 2 folds, Hero raises to $4.44, 2 folds, BTN calls $2.36
Flop: ($10.08) 5 5 J (2 players)
Hero bets $13.95 and is all-in, BTN folds
Spoiler:
Results: $10.08 pot ($0.45 rake)
Final Board: 5 5 J
Hero mucked A A and won $9.63 ($5.19 net)
BTN mucked and lost (-$4.44 net)
This much for tonight. Going to sleep. New week with new challenges is awaiting.
Evening. Had 3 sessions x 50 min. Spewed couple stacks away (fail bluff catches). I feel like I get too married to one pair type hands. Gotta fix that, cause at the moment it costs a lot for me. The good thing is, my game from blinds is getting better. After coaching session it improved even more, and this month I'm running -30 bb/100 from bb. Hit 15k yearly tonight, so another 50$ is always nice
2 hours of volume tonight. Still 3tablin, that reduces my volume even more. But it's about quality now. Made some tight folds preflop today. Quite happy about my play. Still pulled few unnecessary bluffs.
Jesus dat volume I'm also becoming nocturnal mainly because games are so **** during the day tho. Glgl
Dude 5-6 AM my time is the craziest action at the field. It's like people are mad at that time. But had to get some sleep. Waking up and grinding 5 AM would totally make sense. See couple of hands to define what's going on:
Got several pretty sick beats tonight, but managed to grind myself outta there. Always nice to end session on peak. Will update the month after I wake up. It's already 9 AM here. Been grinding whole night. Gonna have some breakfast and directly to bed.
Finished it on the peak, which is always nice ;] Here's the graph pre rb:
By stakes:
Totally pre RB $507.96 plus $33 plus another 5k fpp I have now (5000x0.012 = 60$) = 600$ roughly last month. Pretty happy about results.
Monthly goals:
☑50k volume;
☑shot at 25z (not much of a success);
-finish reading mental game (about time ffs); 4/5 way through it
-buy flopzilla, start working with it (this weekend);
☑tighten up my preflop strategy before taking shots at 25z;
☑run good obv
Also didn't finish refitting my apartment, which sucks.
The big news! I'm moving to iPoker network this Sunday. The reasons are personal, wouldn't like to discuss them here. Got a nice 50% rb deal + races and deposit bonus. Pretty happy about it. Heard the field is tougher out there. Will start with grind 10nl Eur fast poker and transition to 20nl asap.
Ordered new PC. It's gonna cost me 500 Euro. Hoping to sell my laptop for 250. My current pc is getting laggy when I turn on all the stuff.
Goals for May:
-move in to my apartment;
-Show better volume then in April;
-establish myself at 20nl fast games at iPoker;
-have 4 coaching sessions;
-work with my game every day.
Evening. Abandoned this place a bit. last 2 days was sitting home whole time, studying and grinding. After not the best Friday:
Some comeback tonight:
Felt like printing money. Everything went my way.
Had 2nd coaching session today. We were talking most about flatting 3bets preflop, squeezing spots etc. Also we spoke about checking flop oop as preflop aggressor. That's my next aim. Work with flopzilla constructing flop ranges oop. Will start with EP, MP and move from there.
My schedule is totally fcked at the moment. Don't know how am I going to work it back, but I feel like a degenerate at the moment. Sleeping all day, grinding all night.
Tomorrow is a big day Migrating to iPoker network. Feel really unsafe about it. I know that the field is tougher there, but I also know, that there are a lot of weak regs who are grinding for rb. So with enough efforts I will probably beat the crap outta them
Not posting any hands tonight, cause the volume this month is already 20k and there are simply just too much of them.
Moved to iPoker. Didn't start too well, but doing great job on rakeback stuff. Only played one session yet. Will put more volume tonight. being really busy lately, trying to finish refitting my apartment to be ready to move in as fast as possible.
Few words about the whole thing. I picked out some spots where I'm a PFR at EP or MP and I got called from CO or BTN. I'll try and construct my XC, XR and CB ranges on different boards.
Preflop: Hero is BTN with T 9
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.50, SB folds, BB raises to $1.60, Hero calls $1.10
Flop: ($3.30) T 9 Q (2 players)
BB bets $2, Hero raises to $5, BB raises to $10, Hero raises to $23.74, BB calls $8.50 and is all-in
Turn: ($40.30) 6 (2 players, 1 is all-in) River: ($40.30) J (2 players, 1 is all-in)
Spoiler:
Results: $40.30 pot ($2.01 rake)
Final Board: T 9 Q 6 J
BB showed J K and won $38.29 ($18.19 net)
Hero mucked T 9 and won $0.00 (-$20.10 net)
#4 Spew of the night. My thinking was like I don't think he's raising queens here like ever and I'm beating most of fds and oesds, splitting w/ AKss and obv am crushed by sets :
Results: $30.38 pot ($1.51 rake)
Final Board: 2 7 5 5 J
SB mucked and lost (-$5.06 net)
Hero mucked A 5 and won $28.87 ($16.21 net)
UTG showed 4 5 and lost (-$12.66 net)
There are some smaller pots, I will go over them tomorrow. Will pick one or two to construct flop range.
Open from MP (range: AA-22,AKo-AJo,KQo,AKs-ATs,A5s-A2s,KQs-KTs,QJs-QTs,JTs), get called from CO. Flop comes AQ2.
Let's begin with XR. I think I want to have a check-raising range on this board, since I have lot's of top-pair + fd and combo draws. So my XR range should look like this: AA, QQ, 22, AK, AJ, AT, KJ, KT, JT, A5, A4, A3. It makes 18/146 (12.3%) with 9/9 (bluff/value) frequency.
My CB range would look like this: AQ, A2, AK, 99-JJ, KJ, KT, JT. It makes 43/146 (29,4%).
Since this board is better for my range I want to XC a lot. The rest TP type hands - A3s-A5s, ATs-AJs, AJo, KK, QKs, QJs, QTs, KQo. This makes 43/146 (29.4%).
Then the remaining range goes to XF: 33-88, gutshots with no bdfd. 42/146 (28.7%). This balances my fold when checked to almost 50/50.
Open from EP, get a call from BTN, flop comes A86.
Since board is dry, I don't want a XR range here.
I wanna CB all sets, AQo, AKo, AKs, AQs, AT, AT AJ, AJ, all the rest suited broadways which make bdfd (). This makes 55/120 (45.8%) with 29/26 (value/bluff) fequency.
Now let's go for XC. It'll be AJo, AJ, AT and 99-KK. It's 41/116 (34.2%). What I've done here - empowered my XC range by adding 11 top pair type hands, so it wouldn't always be an underpair to tp.
And XF is KQo, 77, and all suited broadways. Which makes the last 24/120 combos (20%). It balances my fold when checked frequency to a nice 24/65 which is only 36.9%.
Example No. 4
I open from MP, get a call from BTN, board comes AQ9.
First of all I don't think there's a point to have a XR range on this board. First of all my flushes block his BC range and sets are crushed by flushes (I believe villain has 2 (3 if he calls with 78s)).
I'm Cbeting flushes, sets, two pair, TP+fd, some nut flushdraws (AK, KK, KQ), 2nd nut flushdraws (AJ, JJ), TT (w/ heart) and 3 remaining combos of JTs. Since the CB range is value heavy, I want to add in some bluffs. Those could be 22-88 with heart in it. So the total CB is 66/147 (44.9%) which is 36/27 (bluff/value). Since it's a scary board which hits my range more than villain's, I think I can get away with bluffing more on it.
I am Xcalling all my top pairs with no heart in it and rest 3 combos of KK, all mid pairs and I don't think chasing flushes by check-calling is the best option, so I'm not including any flushdraws in to my XC range. So it's 48/147 (32.7%)
And the rest goes to XF. The XF range contains of 22-88 and TT-JJ (w/o fd), non flush KJs, KTs. 33/147 (22.4%) combos totally. So when I check I fold 33/81 (40.1%).
In example no 3 I think you can x your AT combos since ull block some of his gutters but also are behind most Ax he flats there. Could consider doing the same with some AJ maybe just depends on how many combos u wanna check
