Hmm cant really agree to this, since by playing 2NL in the very beginning, you get a feel of the game, which is pretty exactly like 5NL. So you can quickly see how they play for a lower cost imo...

OP could already beat 50nl. He doesn't need to play 2nl. He also said that he's playing 5nl now anyway.

Will probably buy some bonuses with my FPPs maybe to boost my roll up until 50nl then see what I will do with them EV wise. Thanks for the helpful FPP posts.

Yea, I'm only playing at 5NL because that's what my BR allows me to play at not because I want to beat 5NL haha. I think I can probably beat it quite easily, and for 2NL it's if I hit some crazy variance and drop down to $40 Bankroll which I think is very unlikely to happen.

But I agree 2NL is kind of like 5NL. But 2NL has more retarded stations though but it's generally the same. Played a bit of it while I was setting up HUD and HEM.

I'm thinking about swapping to a robotic playing style. Play a solid ABC game and up the # of tables I play... I feel taking time to take notes/ make reads on people at the micro micro's may be killing my Hourly/EV. So I might top up the number of tables and take less notes.

Anyone know the max tables of ZOOM you can play? I can load up 4 right now at 5NL 6max. Is it 4 tables max per limit? Would I be able to mix some 2NL some 5NL?

I'm doing this because I'm thinking about making a late Supernova run at the micros. If I move up fast enough to 50NL and play ~80k hands per month I'll make it. If all goes well might play 100nl too just to make SN for next year which will be more +ev overall than grinding at 50nl with a higher winrate imo..

Ran kind of bad for a bit at 5NL. Re-adjusted my mindset and got on with the grind and here's an update with graph and PS cashier screenshot!

A bit change of plans. I will keep taking 10NL shots until I fall to $80 or below and I'll move back down to 5NL... So the last 3k or so hands have been at 10NL.

Almost a Silverstar now. 79% there. Started off the week at 15% so that's good progress. Almost cleared my first $10 stellar as well. That's at 96%!

Had 4 final exams the past 2 weeks as well so have been quite busy. I will have 2 more exams coming up, (Organic Chemistry and Physics) on Monday and Wednesday respectively. My volume may suffer a bit but shouldn't get in the way of me making SilverStar before July! Because I've been extra busy with exams I haven't worked out this week yet but will start after school is over!

Good luck, is there a specific reason you are grinding from $75 instead of a more reasonable roll like $500 even? That's gonna save you about 50,000 hands worth and alot of sanity, its not as if you cant beat those levels, so why not work a job, deposit to 10NL or 25NL and grind it from there?

Spent my whole roll basically when I quit for half a year (~$2000). No time for work here really and the wage is **** less than my hourely at 10nl... (Not in the USA)

I'm studying medicine in a different language. Medical school is enough time not to say in another language right? so I opted to grind my way up. Should be quite quick anyways IMO.
