Re: education of a SRP (serious recreational player) 2.0 - uNL 6max version
RE: AQ reply
It's pretty optimistic to expect anyone to fold TT/JJ there.
The line is probably +EV based on a 10% 3b and a much tighter calling range of ~3.5% (A9, TT+) which would mean he's folding 65%. AQ has ~20% against the calling range too, so that's easily enough FE but I'm just not sure that's the best way to play it. Plus it's going to be pretty hard to balance unless your going to shove JJ or a set here which would be pretty bad I think.

Re: education of a SRP (serious recreational player) 2.0 - uNL 6max version
didn't have much time this week, but managed to play a meh session yesterday (1K hands, up 20euros) in which i played my c-game for the first half i guess. too many loose calls and i was down nearly 2BIs without even noticing it.
anyway had a hot session today:
tons of fishes, i managed not to tilt when they were outflopping me with dumb stuff, then i started to flop so well...
Re: education of a SRP (serious recreational player) 2.0 - uNL 6max version
limper is 50/0 passive fish
raiser is a 50/32 aggro fish.
pf is marginal but there is a good chance it gets mw.
i should prolly raise larger ott, when i decided to turn my hand into a bluff.
river is a bingo card as it closes a sd as well giving me a superwide valuerange
Preflop: Hero is SB with A J
MP calls $0.25, CO folds, BTN raises to $0.50, Hero raises to $2, BB folds, MP calls $1.75, BTN calls $1.50
Flop: ($6.25) 9 A 4 (3 players)
Hero bets $2.95, MP folds, BTN raises to $6.75, Hero folds
Spoiler:
Results: $12.15 pot ($0.66 rake)
Final Board: 9 A 4
MP mucked and lost (-$2 net)
BTN mucked and won $11.49 ($6.54 net)
Hero mucked A J and lost (-$4.95 net)
Re: education of a SRP (serious recreational player) 2.0 - uNL 6max version
KT: I don't like this at all. I think his range is mostly over pairs and you can have a ton of missed draws. Plus even if he did somehow have A high I think he wil call river often enough to make a bet -ev
AJ: 44/22? 1/2 stack? Snapitty snap snap call. He can have every Ax and some 9x and bluffs too. I couldn't call quick enough.
Re: education of a SRP (serious recreational player) 2.0 - uNL 6max version
I like the turn bet with KT too as you can make some better hands fold and can improve to the best hand when called. Once called though I put him on a pot controlling 99-AA that will never fold the river as you only rep quads and 8x for value.
Re: education of a SRP (serious recreational player) 2.0 - uNL 6max version
played another short session, up 1,5 BI over 400ish hands.
V is 100/67 over a small sample, but looks pretty splashy.
i like the turn check as i induce some bluffs/lighter calls otr, i am not losing value from Ax (we are stacking off anyway) or Kx (max 1 more street i guess).
Preflop: Hero is SB with Q A
MP raises to $0.75, CO folds, BTN raises to $1.50, Hero raises to $3.50, 2 folds, BTN raises to $10.02 and is all-in, Hero calls $6.52
Flop: ($21.04) A 4 9 (2 players, 1 is all-in) Turn: ($21.04) 5 (2 players, 1 is all-in) River: ($21.04) 5 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
Spoiler:
Results: $21.04 pot ($1.15 rake)
Final Board: A 4 9 5 5
BTN showed K 8 and lost (-$10.02 net)
Hero showed Q A and won $19.89 ($9.87 net)
V is a 24/18 tag reg with 4,5% 3bet. foldvcbet 1/1 so far but small sample size, so i rely more on how tag players usually play here.
i expect V to be 3betting good Ax and TT, so i planned to go for a 3barrell here, is it good?
obv i am b/f'ing ott, but by 3 barrelling he should fold random floats, medium pairs, Tx and maybe (and arguably) a weak A (though not many i his range i guess)
Re: education of a SRP (serious recreational player) 2.0 - uNL 6max version
1K BR!
short session up 1,5 BIs.
started so bad...but stayed away from tilt (running well overall helps a lot)
also re-watched some baluga whale videos on DC which really help a lot in sharpening my game. everytime i watch them i start to 3bet a ton, lol.
unexpected hand. villain is nit, weird line by him
first hand of the session btw
Turn: ($5.10) 3 (3 players)
SB bets $3, Hero raises to $8.25, BTN folds, SB raises to $46.23 and is all-in, Hero calls $15.05 and is all-in
River: ($51.70) 2 (2 players, 2 are all-in)
Spoiler:
Results: $51.70 pot ($2 rake)
Final Board: 4 9 5 3 2
BTN mucked and lost (-$1.70 net)
SB showed 6 7 and won $49.70 ($24.70 net)
Hero mucked 5 5 and lost (-$25 net)
i've been thinking more about finding good spots to check otf and getting more value when V range is obvious. dry board where a check otf can get 2 little streets of value instead of just cbetting and getting a fold ott.
Re: education of a SRP (serious recreational player) 2.0 - uNL 6max version
had a meh poker day.
up 59$ over 3k hands, but second session was really tilty (burnt 2 BIs over 500 hands).
i often get into tilting mode when i start bluff catching otr just to see how people outflopped me with dumb hands. have to cut out that part of my game.
anyway winning today is sweet bc even playing my c-game for most of the hands i turned out some profit. i guess mastering some concepts with experience helps me keeping an edge even when not at my best.
V was a 12/10 at the time of this hand with 2/2 foldv3bet and 2/25 open raise from utg over 150ish hands. (his stats now look more taggish).
i block AKdd. is this a good fold?
