Re: Developing a winning uNL game and mindset

Roll is currently at $213. Any suggestions on shot taking at NL10?

Volume has been really low lately, been super busy at work and uni.

Re: Developing a winning uNL game and mindset

Taking a shot at NL10... been nitty with table selection and 1-tabling it.

Will have a crack until I drop back to $200. Hoping for some run good and I can move up and never look back.

PS - haven't been playing a ton, been working and in my final semester of uni. Design project really crushing any free time atm.

No problems with taking at shot at 10NL at all with that BR, especially 1 tabling. Should be able to get decent reads on villains and stay out of trouble. How are you finding it so far?

Re: Developing a winning uNL game and mindset

Obv really small sample size, but seems like more action than NL5. More tables running and more good tables running.

Maybe people either start at NL2 or NL10?

People seem more aggro pre so I'm happier to 4bet/call with AK and QQ (not against nits, but just in general). Whereas at NL5 I was a loser with QQ getting it in pre.

Just a quick update, been really busy at work at uni.

Back at NL5, the roll is US$197.03.

            Volume has been PATHETIC.

But I have been reading the topics in uNL to try and think more conceptually. I'll be able to put in a little volume before part 2 of my final year project ramps up again.

Care to give any more info on the bet sizing?

I certainly don't bluff as much as I think I should, but I wouldn't say I'm passive. I think I am probably pretty nitty pre in terms of opening ranges.

Example, my stats for this session with a whale to my right are

            19/16/7 AF:4.71

I open when folded to 11% in EP, 25% in MP and 36% in LP.

Thanks, will try and be more aggressive.

I think your UTG range is too loose?

Have you read the entire thread? I tend to have a lot of trouble with overpairs and non-set middle pairs which is why I think I post them a lot

Thanks a whole lot for your input!
