Re: Conquering RPM

You got it. Here's the graph

Been playing so much more than I was at the start of the thread, mostly because I haven't been working at the post office much, mostly just Saturdays and there's not much to do down on the farm during this time of the year. Will start to get a lot more hours at the PO starting next month though so that will be nice.
Lately I've been getting real deep in lots of tournys, but always bubbling right before the money or ft, it's getting pretty frustrating. My AA, KK, and QQs never seem to hold when I'm deep, meh.
Still waiting for my pending cashout, too. Gay.

Last edited by juicestain100; 10-25-2011 at 12:06 PM. Reason: BR is at $2,091. Also have two $109 tickets. And a $400 pending cashout

Hey bud. I ended up not playing as much today as planned. Bubbled two final tables, made it to one bounty ft and got 4th for $36, but had gotten like six $5 bounties so it was alright. Took my first shot at the $3 rebuy for a $215 tourny ticket, but got 3rd 1st and 2nd got tickets. But 3rd was for $53, so will probably give that another shot maybe tomorrow. It was nice though because I got doubled up the first hand and never had to rebuy once, only did the add on.
So overall I played maybe 8 tournys and came out about +$25 for the day, meh.

No, I've never had any coaching. Honestly I've not really watched any videos or read any books either, just kinda taught myself (first on facebook poker lol). I really need to force myself to study stragedy/statistics and what not because I'm sure it could help my game a lot. Someday...someday...

Re: Conquering RPM

haha yeah Facebook poker use to be the bees knees. I had a few million chips on there, wish it were real money
I went to the casino with my buddy last night. First time I've ever set foot into a casino. Was hoping to just check it out and maybe sit at a hold'em table and give it a lil shot. But the poker room was closed so didn't get to give it a try. Didn't spend a dime tho, I'm not playing no slots. They do run a few tournaments throughout the week I read so maybe one of these days I'll work up the courage to try one

Re: Conquering RPM

Well done. How did you go in the 3.5k rebuy?

I can tell you as a predominantly online player that the occasional live tournament can be fun if you get the right structure and mix of people. Plus whilst the variance is crazy you are so +ev in a local tournament its not funny!

Regards

Thanks man, yeah I have no idea if I'd be any good live but figure it would be fun to give it a try.
I got like 30th in the 3.5k for $30 something...cant quite remember. Just busted out of the $5 rebuy 5k in 14th for $80.

And sitting in 3/19 in the $750 bounty. So hopefully I can take this one down. Pretty dissapointed in myself about the 5k I busted out of...shoulda made it to the ft but just couldn't win flips. meh

Re: Conquering RPM

Ended up getting 9th in the $750 for $37 for anyone who's interested in knowing. IMO bounty tournaments are the softest tournys, everyone is so hardcore about getting every bounty possible that they basically just give you their chips. I should have coasted the ft a bit and let some of the short stacks get eliminated but the wife wanted me to get done to watch a movie, so I jammed KJ out of position and lost to A9 sooted. Damn them wifes
Not sure if I'll be playing much tomorrow or any at all, we shall see.
Bankroll is now at $2,402 + two $109 tickets. Hoping to get a ways above 2.5k by the time my cashout processes so I can cashout max since it takes so godly long to process
