Breaking out of NL100

Hey, Ive decided to make a new goals thread to give me motivation to move up from nl100 and also win some money there in the process. I previously had a goal thread on rush poker, however Full Tilt shutdown and stole my money so I discontinued that. Here that is,
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/17...nl200-1046958/
A little bit about me is in there too.
Since then, I have moved across to Pokerstars. In which my results have been fairly average as of late.
Ill be playing alot more volume now too as I am not at university for the rest of the year so hopefully I can rungood and move up through the stakes.
Here Is my graph for nl100 games.

Re: Breaking out of NL100

Had First Session Yesterday/This Morning.
There were a decent amount of fish online, however didnt run too good and got coolered abit too. Was playing with a massive headache towards the latter end of my session too which wasnt too smart.

How long you playing poker.

How did you find the move from starting out to being good enough to beat 100nl?

Re: Breaking out of NL100

thanks its just over 160k hands.
I think ive been playing poker for about 2 years now. Started off in home games with my friends and then every now and again played online. Last October I bought Holdem manager and decided to dedicate some time to poker starting at nl10 with 270 as my starting roll. I managed to win abit there from the start and then be able to move up through the stakes. After playing alot of hands, and talking to some people about strategy, it helped me understand the game more. However I still have heaps to learn.

Re: Breaking out of NL100

Tried to make a video of my play, and played pretty horribly during this period.
Still managed to get up some, will be putting in a few sessions over the next couple of days.

Hey Alex,

Looking to do the same atm.

Probs have played together last couple days, let me know if you wanna have a chat on skype about regs and hands etc. Could do with someone apart from my coach to do this with as he does not play stars anymore. If not no worries Good Luck with ur goal.

Re: Breaking out of NL100

Hey, I just had a couple of horrible sessions, was down 1.6k for the day 2 days ago over 6.5k hands, ran 1.2 under EV, kept looking at my graph during the session which tilted me and made me play bad and push variance increasing plays. So gonna try and not look at my holdem manager for the next week and see how it goes. Started off last night without looking at it, and have no idea whether I was up or down, which is a good thing I think. I remember I lost a few all ins, but won a 450 pot, which probly saved me a fair bit, so overall could be up a few hundred or down a few hundred no idea haha.... think I wouldve played about 4k hands though.

Re: Breaking out of NL100

Funny, I just said something in my thread about looking at graphs too much. That the only result is tilt and it's useless. And look what you just said, hehe. Gl man
