Re: 2012: from micros to midstakes
i think there was pretty much no other way to play this hand with this guy. i think a small cbet accomplishes the exact same as a bigger one and makes bluffraising harder for him. i was folding the river but i think he never bluffs both turn and river.
PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 4 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3
BTN: $10.03
Hero (SB): $6.08
BB: $9.74
UTG: $5.82
Hero posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05
Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero has Q Q
fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.15, BB raises to $0.45, Hero raises to $1.10, BB calls $0.65
Flop: ($2.20, 2 players) A 5 A
Hero bets $0.55, BB calls $0.55
Turn: ($3.30, 2 players) 3
Hero checks, BB bets $1.57, Hero calls $1.57
River: ($6.44, 2 players) J
Hero checks, BB checks
Hero shows Q Q (Two Pair, Aces and Queens) (Pre 68%, Flop 85%, Turn 93%)
BB mucks Q K (One Pair, Aces) (Pre 32%, Flop 15%, Turn 7%)
Hero wins $6.13
this was exactly one orbit later. i decided to 4bet him again just to prevent him from spazzing nonstop vs my opens. once the ace flops i think i gain most by letting him bluff rather than get some random herocalls. in my mind there s no way he bets a king that big on the turn (neither a random ace ) so his range is pretty bluffy imo. i was right
PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3
BTN: $2.00
Hero (SB): $8.86
BB: $6.72
UTG: $5.75
CO: $5.07
Hero posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05
Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero has 7 A
fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.15, BB raises to $0.45, Hero raises to $1.10, BB calls $0.65
Flop: ($2.20, 2 players) 5 8 A
Hero checks, BB checks
Turn: ($2.20, 2 players) K
Hero checks, BB bets $1.56, Hero calls $1.56
River: ($5.32, 2 players) K
Hero checks, BB bets $4.06 and is all-in, Hero calls $4.06
BB shows 9 Q (One Pair, Kings) (Pre 42%, Flop 4%, Turn 0%)
Hero shows 7 A (Two Pair, Aces and Kings) (Pre 58%, Flop 96%, Turn 100%)
Hero wins $12.79
and then another orbin later this against the same guy
i never raise the flop here with the nuts against normal people but i actually thought he could spazz bluff here. the king turn i thought he would be ikely to rep if he doesnt have it otr but betting here lets him get away from whatever he can have too easily. got the bet that i wanted but i m not tooooo sure i got the max here
PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.15, SB raises to $0.45, fold, Hero calls $0.30
Flop: ($0.95, 2 players) 4 3 8
SB bets $0.68, Hero raises to $1.75, SB raises to $3.10, Hero raises to $4.45, SB calls $1.35

SB checks, Hero checks
River: ($9.85, 2 players) 9

didnt get into too many good spots on any of the other tables so profit is not as much as could be but hey. i have 6 bucks to go to beat nl5 so weeee

Re: 2012: from micros to midstakes
well done mate, just a warning from moving to 5nl - 10nl, Dont over adjust or change your game! haha, I remember moving up to 10nl and getting 3bet a few times and thinking everyone was just expoliting me. It plays exactly the same you'll just make twice as much money! glgl
PS. Amazing redline
