Re: 2012: from micros to midstakes

What was i blabbering on about here the other day about not switching games and sticking to one form of poker and learn to get good at it ..

So why am i playing full ring on ZOOM !!!

If i fall flat on my face ( very possible ... even probable ) .. then im blaming blakk for making FR look like easy money and enticing me back to the dark side that is FR.

Re: 2012: from micros to midstakes

bleh the games are so insanely bad right now, i had to play 10-12 tables for like 2 hours and that just tilts me to hell. no good deep tables running, regs all over the place... guess tuesday nights are no good for poker, will take next week off on tuesdy. ran decent in sattys (70 fpp ones) and did profit at the tables but cant be fkd to put in volume when games are so bad :S

hands: 3016
hours: 3.53
profit: $44
br: $3088

Re: 2012: from micros to midstakes

pls explain the thinking behinde this.OK,you 3 bet to defend the blind, but with 5 7???Why you re-raise his re-raise on flop????Dont you give him respect for his big re-raise???What you do if he call and continues on turn????

Re: 2012: from micros to midstakes

^^ his raise is like double the cbet
pre is fine as long as villain is folding 85%+ of 3bs imo
postflop obv you needs some type of dynamic/strong reads for

Re: 2012: from micros to midstakes

Pre was based on my stats that I had Villain was opening sb vs bb about 35-45% and had a high ft3b and I was in position, he was folding to cbets a lot and all of those make the 3b decent and imo better than a flat. Hand-who cares he folds so much i prob will never see a showdown here anyway
So he calls with again a fairly wide range but one that flops fairly well i assume- Broadway's, good aces, pairs, scs, most of which obv misses badly here. The rest is common sense: my cbet is standard. He thinks, meh he can't hit here, and then suffers a brain freeze that most every villain at this limit and Below have: they make a very obvious play and when played back at they think it means nutzzzz. Very exploitable

Re: 2012: from micros to midstakes

Obv if he shoves he has TT+ and 8x most often so I shut down to any action. The thing is that most villains don't ever go past the point of the first raise on the flop so that my shutting down is pretty spot on but theirs gives me insane odds to take down these pots and announces their hand as strong when they continue

That board is a board that is probably gonna get cbet by a reg close to 100% of the time, so I like the 3bet alot
