That was obviously some troll, He didnt even give any advice just, ur a fish, ur a fish, ur a fish thats all he said. haha thanks dude really appreciate the ADVICE. il reply to other comments later to tired now. I dont always limp, its only something i have been recently learning/trying out and look how good i got it in there. I think its ok to limp at an aggresive table where you think someone is going to squeeze and 20bb is perfect re-shoving stack. Also i think if i open 20bb stack utg it looks to strong and im not going to get action by the type hands i want and it also makes it hard for people to 3 bet me light because when they do they will be commited to call my re-jam. Just because in his mind limping is fishy that means im a fish lol. Thats another good reason to limp because people are going to be like oh look a limper he must be a fish. Id only be doing it on aggressive tables and prob only 20bb stacks so i can re-shove.

Well, that's all you heard.

I heard, limping UTG is almost always a mistake that you should try to eliminate from your game. Also turbo MTTs are super high variance and it's possible that you start out with a bit of luck so don't over estimate your own ability. The fact that you are doing well in turbos but supposedly can't do well in reg speed tournaments where variance is lower and good players have a much larger edge may be cause for concern.

I used to think I was a good MTT player. Maybe I was. I won the Big $3.30, Big $16.50 and the big $27.50 and literally hundreds of smaller tourneys. Then maybe I hit a really bad run, or maybe variance evened out or something but I lost nearly $10K in a couple of months and by then I'd lost all motivation to grind out micro tourneys so I said **** that, quit MTTs and no I exclusively play cash games (badly).

And Sharkscope has you down nearly $7K on pokerstars. Ouch. Be careful Shark.
02-18-2015 , 01:09 AM
Yea it has me down because i was one bulleting rebuys. So i buy in for 1$, but they add like 3$ or something because they cant find the correct amount of rebuys so they just use an average.

I also had 2000 game downswing. Plus played nearly 3 times as many games in one year.

I presume you accepted the CR offer shark. I bet you didn't expect to get that kind of reply when you asked if anyone wanted to look over the HH.

Subbed m8.

GL on your grind in Cambodia.
02-18-2015 , 09:16 AM
GL. How old you are? And have you ever went to college? Sorry if you have mentioned it before, but I only saw that you were playing a lot and working.
02-18-2015 , 10:22 AM
not wishing you to fail but you most likely will end up in trouble after your explanation of why you limp. Nothing against limps but the way you go at it means you're not ready to go pro
02-18-2015 , 10:40 AM
u need to do some serious self-improvement m8 pokerwise else cambodia will eat u alive. U are def doing something seriously wrong judging from the way ur graph is swinging.

I know you referenced your age in OP, but I am a bit unsure as to the timeline of events.
Im 21 and the hotel staff know i do it, i have to actually grind in the lobby or outside because im on the 3rd floor and the wifi up here is dodgy.
The interent is good on ground floor and kinda ok on 1st floor. Occasionally the wifi will drop out for 5 min. Ive been here for maybe 2-3 weeks

No i dropped out of school when i was 15.

Having trouble with my pt4 Not reading my 888 tournments or full tilt or titan. party poker and stars are working tho. Also sometimes my laptop has been randomly freezing and i have to hold the power button to restart it.
02-18-2015 , 04:42 PM
Ok so i spent an hour or two trying to figure out why my HUD on 888 wasnt working. I searched some forums and stuff but couldn't figure it. Iit was working fine and then for some reason 3 sites stopped hud. It was during last nights session, i registered and thats when i found out. So i must have done something the day before. Because my computer was crashing and stuff the last few days i have been playing around with anti virus and tune ups and stuff like that, so im guessing it has something to do with that. I tried on avg to restore the changes i made and still nothing. So then i i just refresh my whole pc and it cleared all my programs, i havent tried yet to see if it was working.

To be honest it is a little depressing i really wanted to grind tonight and its just annoying and frustrating ive already missed so many days of poker for other reasons. I want to quit alchol cus i know its good for me but at same time i like getting drunk, I guess normal people can find a good balance but i seem to always go overboard/get addicted.

So tonight i was drinking beers and bought a 10$ bottle of rum and some beers and bought a deck of cards the day before and was playing cards with the security guard and the night receptionist

Ive been trying to teach them poker but, i dont have proper chips to make it fun enough, i was teaching them 5 card draw because at then at least you have some things to think about of which cards to throw away to make it a little bit funner.

Did 3 rounds of that seemed pretty boring for all of us and then they tried to teach me some khmer/cambodian game and for some reason 2 is the highest card. it was a bit hard to understand the game because of a slight language barrier but it was still pretty awesome the whole thing. i hope soon they will be able to play poker properly and realize how awesome this game is.

For some reason i like the whole learning process of poker. like people who play the type of games i play, cant sit there and play hours of freerolls like i can. ive got a club with 1500 members and i use to throw away my own money for freerolls and play with them. And it is wierd vsing those types of players i know it sounds wierd but some of them can be hard. of course overall you probably better than them. but i still se a challenge in trying to exploit them and they can play so unpredictibly or wierd it can really challenge what you know or what you think you know.

Anyways i havent seen if my HUD is fixed, not going to grind until its fixed. The security gaurd offered me to go out tmro to go out clubbing with him so i might do that.

Also this is something ive been thinking about. My room cost 9$ per night and maybe food an extra 5$ or something. Ive been using the 8% cashout strategy (i will link it at the end.) So im wondering, if i should grind like crazy or only spend enough for me to pay for my day. I see benefits in that because i will potentially have a higher roi because i can play less tables and i could potentially play shorter sessions and have more time to study. Or i could grind a **** load and quickly move up stakes or get more experience or have more of a chance to bink a massive massive win. Hmm just wondering.

I would really advice you to not get too close with them and - that's the most important - stop gambling (!) with them and giving them an insight into your poker stuff. You seem to be a bit distressing from time to time but like a nice guy overall. So, please: Pay attention when it comes to Cambodian males. That might sound slightly racist now, but believe me: I'm not the only one who's going to tell you this.

It doesn't matter if this or these guys are your age: Don't get to close to them. Tho you're only staying in a $9 hotel and therefore can't be Richie Rich-rich - they still have to work 2-3 days for this at your hotel. You're a walking dollar note for them. They might not gonna scam you right now, but believe me bro: The sooner or later they're trying to.

So for ****s sake: Don't go clubbing with them. You gonna end up paying everything. Take the money instead and go **** a hooker. (Honestly, just do it)

Please don't take it as an offense, but you should really keep that in mind and wipe off your naivity and levity - especially in a 3rd world country like Cambo.

Im not surprised a person who's whole life revolves around hookers would write such diarrhea.

Outside of taxi drivers in SEA, those assumptions are ******ed.

a security guard's life does not revolve around getting rich. It most likely revolves around having an easy job to be able to have fun with his friends and family without too much stress. *******s like you describe have very different jobs in the hospitality industry.

OP is already on a thin line with his poker, let him enjoy fun moments with probable nice people.

Who the hell took his **** inside your head?

- Where did you get the impression from my life revolves around hookers? Do you know me?
- Ever met a security guard in SEA, especially Cambodia?
- Have you actually EVER spent an reasonable amount of time in Cambodia or do you just enjoy talking nonsense?

But thanks for this one: "a security guard's life does not revolve around getting rich. It most likely revolves around having an easy job to be able to have fun with his friends and family without too much stress." Was a great laugh.

Seems like you really got the point of why these guys are working in jobs like this. They simply work for $3 a day in a bad job like security to have fun with friends and family without too much stress. What a ******ed ****.

The security guard and recoptionist and this whole hotel are one of the most purest and friendliest people ive meet. The receptionist im pretty sure has a big micky mouse(maybe as a pillow) teddy and the security guard like justin bieber.

In a good way they know what they like and there not materialistic. They probly dont have nerds or categorize people here. They respect all people. anyways thats the feeling i get of course there would be bad people here but i feel really really good about this hotel and their staff. Like i said they had the manager of the club and 3 other workers stand 2 metres away from people who where leaving there hotel and just waving at them.

Btw i dont really like justin bieber

You're the 150th depressed overweight guy that i have seen from 2p2 coming to SEA that has a life that revolves around clubbing and banging hookers(this is what you specified in your own thread as having a life) that end up married to scary mustached ex hookers. All of you are the same and you all end up spewing hatred towards every local you hear of.

You people just cant phantom that most humans in poorer countries enjoy life a ton without material possessions or $ security. They are nice because they enjoy the experience you bring them.

Ive made "friends" with every security guard and i have yet to meet a ****ty one that wsnt fired after a day. These people are so nice and they usualy wont even accept gifts on their birthday or on new year.

Last one i met at my housing estate brought her monkey to work for me and let me play with it. Awesome people.

But dont worry there's still some chances you can grow as a person, i was exactly like you for my first 2 years then i realized i was runinng my life caring about money and making every "poor 3world tard" look inferior to me because all they want is to "Scam me"
02-18-2015 , 06:38 PM
Try not to get personal in your argument. Just try to remove the emotions and be kind to each other even if you disagree, might sound hypocritical coming from me but thats what ive been trying to do. If this was on the streets im guessing someone would probably end up getting stabbed

Good news, resetting and deleting all programs on my computer worked and my hud on 888 is now working and i still got to keep my music and poker training videos .. such a relief.'

Pretty sure it had something to do with anti virus or those types of programs.

If you'd have read my thread carefully, you'd know by know that this 2 points aren't by far what having a life is about (didn't even mention hookers once in that post). Read again - carefully this time.

I spend overall 5 years in Afghanistan and Kosovo - both countries who are as poor as or even poorer than Cambodia and most other SEA countries. I know how and that poor people enoy their lifes, I saw the poorest and those most strucked by fate every single day and met some of the greatest people on earth there.

One thing that's for sure: 99% of the guys working for $3 a day as hotel security would much rather work in a job that pays better. They didn't decide to work there because it's fun - a 3rd world country usually doesn't offer a luxus like "picking this job because I like it even if it pays bad". They did because that's what they get.

I don't say all of them are like that. But you damn sure should pay attention with whome you're sharing your poker stuff with. Shark is naive, has never been outside of Australia (afaik) and his used surroundings and doesn't know **** about Cambodians. In this case it's hell of a lot better to pay at least a minimum of attention and don't trust people instantly and without the slightest sign of questioning their motives.

Actually don't want to offend you personally, don't know you, you might be a nice guy. But do me the favor and read my blog carefully and don't come up with such nonsense you're interpreting into words that aren't even written down. Thanks.

You sound like a mother worrying about me lol. Dont worry mum i will be fine Not going to walk around telling everyone.

I just want to say this but, in a study class we did a character or personality test. And i was the type of person who is kinda stubborn but not too stubborn. Like if they get an idea they will stick it out but arent so stupid enough to turn back if its wrong. But the other people who arent like that are more persuaded and make good students because you can tell them what to do and they would be able to more easily change there mind and do it where as i would be like na *** off im not getting a job i want to be a poker player.

Also the type of person i was, was the type who doesnt really like going to parties where as other people would. some where more eager to party than other but i was on the other end. And the main point was that my personality i have a good sense of who to trust and im pretty sure that just means intuition. The teacher actually told me if you feel you can trust them, then dont be affraid to become friends with them lol like i was some scared beaten up little dog scared of humans lol

there was 3 people on the class that she did personality tests on and we all agreed they where pretty accurate. It was to find a job and so the type of job that would suit me was like a sciency type of job and thats def true because i do live a good doco lol

Yesterday i was hearing all these bangs and was just wondering wtf is this some sounded like gunshots and then i relized it was for Chinese new year. I saw those little statue temples/budha things where people at homes and shops had candles lite and i saw some people like preying in front of it and some had a big dead pig and they put like little gifts in front of them haha i dont who this god is but he sounds like a good one with all the beer people where giving him lol

when we where sitting outside at about 12am, we heard massive bangs and to me it sounded like something massive was shaking the roof lol and we where all a bit disorientated at first, the look on the one of the guys face was so funny was just the neighbours with a million of those things.. People are waking up and still lighting heaps of them now at 6am.

Hope everything works out well for you over there. Def try and find a balance between playing /studying poker whilst enjoying yourself and meet different people, expats , tourists locals ect.

You'll be fine making friends with the secuirity gaurds and other locals but don't divulge how much money you make or give the impression your loaded. If the wrong people think youv got loads of money it could put you at risk.
02-18-2015 , 10:13 PM
What is ur plan B if it doesnt work out for u playing poker in Cambodia..? for whatever reason...
02-18-2015 , 10:32 PM
A plan B is only a distraction for your plan A . GL OP!
02-19-2015 , 03:10 AM
lol Plan b would be to move back to Australia and try to get a job save up and then try again.
