Out of interest how did you do in A-Levels etc? doing maths at LSE next year pending my grades and wanna know how much of a step up it is.
Also were you playing poker when you started uni and what level?
Also why CAP?

I plan on playing poker for the foreseeable future. After that, I really have no idea.

I done Further Maths and Accounting at A-level and got AAA. I don't think uni is that much harder than college.

I was playing the micros when I first started uni. In my second year I got SNE playing mostly 200NL CAP and this year you can see what I've been doing in this thread

I chose CAP because WizardOfAhhs was my poker inspiration. I made the decision towards the end of the first year that I was going to get SNE somehow and having heard his story I decided to play his games. I completely sucked for the first few months and barely stayed alive at 100NL with rakeback but I stuck with it and it worked out ok in the end

Respect for the school + grind combo, so hard to pull that off.

Ah right awesome did you use the same study technique for A-Levels as you used for uni?
Your work ethic wrt to poker impresses me the most tbf, I find it so hard to put study in when I could be putting in hours at the tables.

Kind of, although I attended all my classes so I was already familiar with the material before I started revising.

I had that problem too. In the end I just didn't play poker during exam periods and didn't bother with study for the rest of the year.

How much time per day do you have to do other stuff than poker and school?

How're you finding the mix of grinding cap and sng turbos? Graphs of both since starting back on the grind full time?

Congrats on the success both on and of the tables.

A few questions - what type of brm would you use when trying to climb up the stakes from 0.25/0.50 to 0.50/1. Also what win rate would you consider good enough for you to move up (do you think 3-4bb/100 is enough). And finally what training sites (if any) did you use to improve?

Thought I'd save him some time... I don't even read this thread much and I know this has been answered.

He pretty much said from memory: at the lowest limits like this, you just want to grind hard and leave them fast.. So your winrate doesn't really matter as long as you are winning with rakeback inc. And strategy videos wise.. I think he said he used 'short stack hero' or something like that. Pretty sure he advertises in the 2+2 coaching section.

I went to Lanzarote for a week so I haven't been able to play. I have plenty of time for other stuff. Australia is looking likely for August and I may go on another holiday this month. It's supposed to be summer here but it's done nothing but rain for the last few months and it's supposed to continue so it's nice to get away! I go to the gym 5x/week so I'm fairly active. Football is my sport. I'm a West Brom fan.

I've just updated my blog. I feel like it was just becoming a repost of this thread so I'll try to make it more interesting in the future and try to answer the most common questions posted in here in more depth. Things such as the best ways to increase your tables, improve your poker game etc.
