I have hardly posted at all on 2+2 in the last couple of years so maybe making a thread here will help change that!

Im Alex, 28 years old from England (although i look 18!). I am currently living in Bangkok having just moved from Phuket where i lived for the last 3 years.

I have played poker online for nearly 8 years now with most of it being at 50nl or 100nl fullring, winning but grinding out rakeback mostly. In april last year i had been on a long breakeven/losing streak at cash and was really busto grinding $2.50 180mans on a $400 roll. Luckily i got offered a stake from a friend who is a top mtt player to play mtt's full time, which i accepted.

I started winning straight away making $5,000 on the first day of my stake chopping for 1st and also a 3rd place.

After that i never really looked back:

I learned a huge amount from the coaching i was provided while on the stake but now i feel i finally have enough to leave and grind on my own roll.

I won't be able to play some of the larger buyins that i was playing before (without selling action) but getting 100% of profits sounds nice enough to me .

My setup and how my sunday grind looks on screen.

Goals
- play over 700 mtt's each month.
- go to the gym at least twice a week.

I am registered to all my sites from the UK and they don't seem to mind that i am playing from Thailand, only 888 who refused to give me a signup bonus because of it, lol.

About to have a short nap now and then start grinding probably late regging the big22 and micromillions 67 $8 progressive sKO if i wake in time.

Recently i have started playing much longer sessions, the $55 Nightly Twenty Grand being the last non-turbo i reg.

Nope, i think i would be really bad at it also. Im a pretty quiet guy unless i am drunk or know people pretty well. Most of the time i know what i am thinking in my head but i suck at explaining it when it comes to poker, also i would say i am more of a feel type player and there is a lot of basic math stuff i haven't really looked into much.

I used to play long sessions of cash playing maybe 100k hands a month BEFORE i moved to Thailand. Once i got here my volume droped by a lot.

In terms of days played i go through spells, when i first got on the stake i was playing 4-5 days a week and after a few months that had dropped to just fri, sat and sunday. This year i probably only averaged a little over 2 days a week although the past couple of weeks i have been playing most days.

The schedule here doesnt help at all. I wake up at 9pm, go out to eat and then grind through the night until about 9am or whenever im done. I go to eat lunch, watch some downloaded tv eps then go to bed (<3 blackout curtains).

Actually i downloaded an app at the start of this month and so far i have spent about $3k although i did buy a new phone. I didnt even go out much this month but i order food delivery or eat out every day so that adds up (23,000b on meals which is $720).

Re: monitors, the left is a 30" from korean brand Crossover and the middle and right are 30" and 20" dells.

Impressive results, best of luck on your ventures in Thailand! Tempting for me to look into MTTs from small stakes cash games.
How long do your sessions last on average if you don't mind me asking?

Cheers.

a bit more than half (but im not very good at saving )

current session is one of my worst to date, have about 2 mincashes from 30~ mtt's. down to 3tables with 1 deep run 12/19 in The Storm €10r on .fr.

i didnt end up sleeping, instead playing OFC on my phone, usually i wouldn't grind tonight but i really wanted to as i started this thread today. lesson learnt!

Not a great start. I'm actually down around $1k, one of the flighted Reversed Mixed Max mtt's on pokerstars.fr shows me winning €275 which is a mistake.

I didn't sleep at all yesterday before playing which i hoped wouldn't matter too much. Before i had decent success regging mtt's after playing for 12hours+ but i realised this is probably because at that time i am only down to playing 1-6 tables at once. Last night when i had 12-15 tables i was getting a bit lost at times forgetting previous action in hands etc.

checking back this flop isn't that standard however he was a bad aggro reg and i figured there would be a chance he would just put me on AK and barrel off his worse aces.

My bustout hand of the Big109, I think in general this shove is very standard however at the time i just looked at my hand, stacksize and openers position and shoved. After i put my stack in i glanced at his stats and saw he was playing 12/6 over 50 hands so i kind of wanted to take back my bet. I think even if i took some time to think about the shove i still like to get it in here though although i was mad at myself for not even looking at his stats before acting.

Anyway... On to the next day! Woke up at 8pm today and just got back from eating, made myself a coffee and im ready to play!
