Watsup Guys. Back at it for a 2015 edition with a Bigger Bankroll and a ton more experience.

Link to 2014 Thread:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/17...t-reg-1416098/

Im Just your run of the mill MTT Pro chasing the dream both online and live. 2014 Was an amazing year for me on the felts. 1st year pro and a very successful one as well. I grinded a ton online, but most importantly, i succeeded in creating an opportunity for myself to play at the WSOP which was the best poker experience of my life. I got to play in 6 wsop bracelet events, Including the $10k Main event and all that was possible because of my 2014 Thread and the 2p2 Community. Im extremely grateful for that and i can honestly say that I've taken this opportunity the 2p2 has allotted me by the Horns. Its been a great ride so far, and its just the beginning.

This year will be bigger and better than the last. I have a larger Bankroll which will allow me to hone my skills on the live felt which is something im going to really focus on in 2015. I want to be able to compete at the highest levels possible. Thats the journey that Im on and Im the kind of person that won't stop until he achieves what hes after.

At the begninng of 2014 I had recently made the transition to Full time Pro, I made a ton of mistakes throughout the year and i was lucky enough to not have to suffer too much because of them. I come into this year with a solid 18 Months of Pro playing experience and i feel like im in the best spot i could possibly be in to have a huge year.

Lifetime Bovada Stats:

Add This $27,342 score + another ~1.5k or so of profit:

Total Mtts: 4,725 Games
Total Profit: $84,457.26
Average Stake: ~$37
ROI: ~48%
Profit/Mtt: $17.87

Highlights from my current Journey to the top:
(Still long way to the top fwiw)

Origins cliff: Start Playing at age 13 (im 26 now). Play non stop since that age, mostly live. Never play full time for a bunch of reasons, which i regret, but nothing i can do about it now. Try full time online and become successful. Black Friday happens, decide to Stay in the US and focus on real life projects.

August 2012 Deposit $80 on Bovada and grind that up to ~5k many months later playing SNGs initially then transitioning to MTTs
June 2013 Win the Bovada 100k for ~23k
August 2013 Quit real life work, Move to Mexico for 2 months to play on Stars, Travel Throughout California for the rest of the year
January-March 2014 Profit 30k by winning everything on bovada in an absurd run, then proceed to basically break even online the rest of the year
June 2014 The WSOP. Play 6 bracelet events inlcuding $10k Main (All of this thanks to investors funded right here on 2p2).
June 2014 Take down the $235 RIO Daily deepstack at the wsop for ~$9k (Played it 8 times total)
July - November Quietly grind online, mostly breaking even.
November 2014 Get an offer for real life project I couldn't turn down so focused all my time on that.
March 1, 2015- Officially back on the Full time grind and make 4 final tables on my first day back, including a massive 2nd place in the $150k for $27,342

Thanks for checking out my thread. Hopefully we can all benefit from it. Last year's thread got pretty massive with ~80k views and ~800 posts. I try to answer every question that comes my way with a thoughtful response, No matter how small or big the question. Tons and tons of valuable information on there, and i expect this thread to be much more of the same.

GLGLGL To all in 2015.

TYTY. Rake is better at sngs for micros than cash for sure. And easier way to build a roll IMO.

So its a really weird spot vs this guy because he was just being a psycho in general. He was making a lot of obvious stabs at pots where people weren't fighting for them which i think is a solid strategy, so my counter strategy was to fight for pots less in spots where i thought the board was unlikely to hit him and find hands to be able to call down with a decent % of my range.

In that particular spot i raised from the button with T9 suited. He called from the sb, which he was doing with like 85% of hands. Anything suited for sure. Even hands like J4suited because i saw those kinds of hands show up for him. Flop comes J75 and i Cbet, he calls. Turn is another J, and he checks. I decided to check behind. River completes the board J75JA and he snap bets 1/2 pot. Based on his bet sizing from prior history i thought that there was very little chance he had a J or and A, he would probably bet bigger with those hands. So i had to decide if he was willing to value bet a 7 or a 5, which i think he will sometimes, but i dont think he will when the river is an Ace mostly because people have mental blocks about seing an Ace and it changes their value bet ranges way too drastically.

So i had to decide what kinds of hands i thought he was bluffing with and i decided that he will be showing up with a lot of random middle/straight draws based on that flop and my T high is better than all of those. He ended up having KQ for the nut nothing. I decided after the hand that with my exact hand T9 id rather Raise > Fold > Call. But if i have Qhigh or K high Id rather Call > Raise > Fold.

FWIW, he wasnt value betting. He was just clicking random buttons. He thought he was bluffing in that spot.

I ended up deciding not to stream yesterday at all because i really wanted to focus 100% on playing. When im streaming im like 90% on playing and 10% making sure the stream is going ok. And for my first full day back i wanted to be laser focused on my game and think about nothing else. Turned out to be the best decision lol.

But yea Im going to be streaming more often. Thanks for the encouragement. It actually does make a difference knowing theres some demand for it.

Yea. Ive tried expanding to other sites but for various reasons I've decided to play exclusively on Bovada. And with my plan to play a lot more live this year, Im happy with that decision to just play on Bovada.

I recently switched computers, and in the process i somehow lost all my Data that i had compiled for the years playing on Bovada. I guess if im gonna run this good i need to run bad at some aspects of life. Today i emailed bovada and they emailed me a really solid Excel spreadsheet with my entire history. It ended up being off by like 100 mtts and 3k in profit, but im happy to have something this solid nonetheless.

After organizing everything, this is my current all time bovada graph:

Total Mtts: 4,725 Games
Total Profit: $84,457.26
Average Stake: ~$37
ROI: ~48%
Profit/Mtt: $17.87

Now... Time to grind non stop and break even again! (My last break even stretch lasted 2,700 mtts LOLOL)

Ive always used excel for my graphs, but this year im going to make an effort to only use PokerTracker. Ive tried it in the past but the results have been off by a decent margin, hopefully i can figure out whats going and and correct it because itll make my life a lot easier.

If you are using PT4/HM2 in the future, be sure to use a remote database backup so that if you lose your hard drive it is saved remotely for access on another computer.

Duque,

Check out this software called "StackAndTile" if you are not familiar with it. It might be something that could really help you if you are multi tabling MTTs. It is bovada compatible. I just started using it and can't say enough good things about it. I don't even use the stack and tile function, I just tile and it works great.

I've spoken with Duque a few times in the past about MTT endgame. As a full ring nit I regularly could get relatively deep in MTTs but have had trouble pulling the trigger and taking top 5. I'm ITM a good amount I just can't close. I tighten up, blind out, and get scared of busting and apply almost zero pressure.

Anyways, last night I ran deep in the 8k gtd on Bovada. Duque has given me advice on my endgame play and applying pressure. I played to 'win' and didn't solely let my cards dictate whether or not I was going to win. I started stealing more, 3betting, bluffing in good spots and applying serious pressure- putting my opponents those brutal spots that I hate being in.

Results: My biggest MTT win ever. I took 1st for $1640 in a field of 900. My biggest win prior to this being $175 in a 350 man tourney.

I've learned a lot from OP even just speaking with him a few times. I am sure those of you who have talked or received coaching from him know he is the real deal. I thought final table play meant push/shoving only premiums and nothing else. He has changed my perspective on that.

As hot as I ran yesterday I am convinced that speaking with Duque on a few occasions played a huge role in taking this down. Thanks bro!!

I checked it out and it seems pretty perfect for me. Might even allow me to start playing on WPN and Merge. Thanks for the rec.
