i used to be a bodog grinder but when they decided to stop my rakeback with my grandfathered account last july 1 i decided to move. I started with 100$ last jan 2010 and ran it up to 6,000$ with 20BRM last year but was hit with a huge downswing. I withdrew around 2000$ and decided to start allover again this year. No graphs for 2010 since i played withouth HEM

I have been playing mostly NL5 and NL10 just for fun this year and with a less aggressive 40BRM hoping to get my bankroll to 6000$ again but with less stress. i decided to move to another room and be serious with poker after july 1. i made this blog to motivate me and to help me keep track of my progress. i'll be starting out with a bankroll of 400EURO and a 30% rakeback deal. will try to be a NL200 reg by end of the year.

here is my graph for NL5 and NL10 on bodog since feb to june. mostly play 6max 4 tables but i think i can turn it up a notch and play 6 tables on my new room. i play mostly on my laptop and usually allocate around 1-2hours a day.

still waiting for my funds to be transferred to my new room. will probably start in a couple of days from now.

so i was able to transfer my funds now and will be playing on fortune poker on boss media. but i cant seem to get my Hud working.

would appreciate if anyone could help. had the hud running on 1table and it was missing on the other table. don't know why, was only testing for 2 tables. played like 25 hands and won 1stack on the NL4 EURO tables. it was lagging at first before it could load properly on the first table.

does this have to do with the different currencies on the table or am i doing something wrong?


*PS* does anyone know if the HUD will work in auto mini view also?

im in cebu. its been 4hours already can't still get my HEM hud to work properly. it lags a lot, sometimes only the number of hands i play will update and the rest of the table will be 0/0. sometimes it works for only 1 table. can't get it to work on more than one. this is so frustrating. i wanna play but not without a hud.

on a positive note i played like 30 hands and was able to win around 10euros now. if i can keep up this winrate i wouldn't mind playing without a hud but we all know that's not possible. so FML

I've had some experience with HEM, but im more of a PT3 user. My housemate is using HEM on microgaming and has recently experienced problems, but a quick HEM update solved it.

so i tried to put in volume today but failed. have so many emails to do and a meeting coming up in 2hours from now. will probably play later at night, won't be going out on a friday night.

been playing mostly NL4$ euro and GBP tables and NL10 of the same curriencies. roll is at around 450euro. will take shots and NL20 when i get 600euro.

don't have any interesting hands yet. mostly standard spots. im still trying to get used to the software. folded a straight on one hand because i was so confused at the other table. did not know who was in the pot or who folded. next thing i new i timed out on the other table. but whatever, its only going to take a couple of sessions before i get used to the software.

villain is loose passive fish and 53/0/0 VPIP / PFR / AF over 100 hands wit a very high bet IP if checked to him. i decided to checkraise him and since he would be betting air most of the time and i get to take down pot if he folds. when he flat, thought he had 7x or a missed draw.

had an interesting hand. im sure river shove was a mistake. still can't quite determine if river should have been a bet/fold line maybe 1/3 of pot or c/c 1/3 potsize bet and fold to anything bigger.

betfold lets me get value out of his small pp 88-1010. cant still determine what hands i can get value of i c/c the river, all i have is a bluff catcher by then. will be thinking about it over coffee this afternoon. will try to put in more volume later. not much traffic on boss right now.

villain was playing 24/20 vpip/pfr and was opening almost any button and defended a lot of 3bets, with low fold to cbet on flop. so im thinking he would be defending a very wide range of his hands.

run good started to run off just when i played 2,000 hands more this session. results? 14$ down, good thing i played NL4 6tables. damage would have been bigger if i played on my usual limits lol

not much i could do really, got rivered a couple of times, my made hands couldn't get paid, etc etc. just the usual. the old me would be tilting quite a bit right now. good thing about marathon sessions is you get used to break even hand stretches or small drops of buyins here and there afterwhile you get used to it and you tilt less.

hand an interesting 4bet spot not really sure what to do with it. too lazy to run the math on it. villain was very aggro and was playing 54/20/21.4/3 VPIP PFR 3bet AF over 43 hands, thought he was tilting because he lost 2 striaght pots to me. will be thinking about it for the next 3 hours.

3 months ago i had my physical checkup and the results were life changing for me. my SGT or liver test or whatever said i had 3x more than the average ****. so i decided to stop drinking and took some meds. doctors gave me the clear and ive been drinking like its the end of the world the last couple of weeks. im worried i might be partied out when i reach 40 but whatever.

on to pokerz, had another interesting hand. this is my 3rd hand played on table. so everone was new to me except for the PFR, but just had 26 hands on him so sample size is very small. 26/26 VPIP/PFR

so initial raises from UTG and i decide to flat OTB with KK and the BB comes along.

on the FLOP PFR cbets a small amount relative to pot and i was thinking if he had QQ or AA bet would be bigger for value to charge draws since there were 2 of us and we both flat pre we both so had a very wide range. i decide to raise to the take pot down because if i flat BB might come along with a draw and PFR might hit with AK, AQ or drawish type of hands but when the BB squeezes thats when the fun started. BB was a complete unkown. i assigned him all the SUITED connectors low pp cards for his range when he called pre flop. if bb had JJ or 10 10 did he setmine pre, flatting with JJ would be justifiable because if he would 3bet/squeeze he's definitely behind PFR 4betting range. was he taking me to value town with my overpair? or does he have Jx + draws/flush draws/air or did he think that i had rep nothing by raising flop thus he could take it down with a squeeze? PFR folded, i tanked Shoved and he tanked forever and called.

how is the internet in cebu? any issues playing online?

woot finally got the time to update my blog.
ive been really busy the last three weeks. i had an expo in manila which i had to attend to, the following week we had a mid year meeting for the company and the board had to meet every single day so i wasn't able to put in the time to play poker and get some hands in. this week i finally had the time but i spent it on forex LOL

been reading a lot and been playing a lot of forex play money just to get the feel. still feel like a fish out of the water though. good thing about it is the platform that ive been playing on has a bi weekly challenge and it pays out 100$ real money to the last place and competition is really soft. i feel like i can definitely squeeze my way through to the next 3 challenges.

now on to poker. so i played a total of 5,000 hands last two weeks and i moved to entraction now. made a profit of 32euros so far, been playing NL10 5tabling mostly. i can play 6tables but i don't feel like playing my A game there, more like B+autopilot and 3betting like crazy. laptop screen is too small also for 6tables tiled. will probably odd another table once im comfortable with 5.

been playing really LAGish preflop against the regs IP by 3betting all their openings and just playing standard ABC. i feel like my game has evovled the last 2weeks by just simply being away from the tables.

bankroll is at 554euros not including rakeback.
