You need to tinker quite a bit with the program to makes sure you have all the scoring and things set up to make sure you find the best tables, takes a while but is definitely worth it once you have done it.

Thnaks. Any articles or tips? I just have the stakes and set to players with over 50 hands and 30 vpip. I then just look for players with stats like 35/3 or 90/60 etc
Just upgraded to PokerTracker 4 and half my hands never imported (it froze and said imported 256,000 hands out of 145,000).
For some reason my PT3 isn't working properly now either.
So going to just stick to PT4 and "start 5NL again". I still have $40 profit from 5NL but I'm gonna use that for when I want a change for fun, PLO, SnG, Tournaments etc.
I made so many errors when moving to 5NL by doing all the same crap as before:
Playing too many tables
Playing when tired or in a bad mood
Playing too many hands, not folding when I should and betting when I shouldn't etc
Like when I "restarted" 2NL and seemed to crush it compared to the attempt at start of thread I'm going to attempt that with 5NL now.
Will stick to less moaning or complaining and just post interesting hands with my thought process and results.

Sent you a pm because i dont want anymore infraction points.
Turn:($1.57, 3 players) 9 UTG bets $8.59 and is all-in, Hero calls $8.59, fold
River:($18.75, 2 players) 6
Spoiler:
UTG shows 9 T (Two Pair, Tens and Nines) (Pre 51%, Flop 2%, Turn 9%) Hero shows 2 2 (Three of a Kind, Twos) (Pre 49%, Flop 98%, Turn 91%) Hero wins $17.97
Now I called for implied odds pre because the guy on my right was a whale.
I checked flop because I thought the pre flop raiser would bet and the fish would call.
Once the fish shoved I thought it was a snap call and that's one fo the better hands he's shown.
UTG raises to $0.10, fold, Hero raises to $0.35, BB calls $0.30, UTG raises to $0.60, Hero raises to $7.36 and is all-in, BB calls $7.01, UTG calls $0.33 and is all-in

Not sure if my posts are in the best format. I try and post my 3 biggest wins and then 3 biggest losses. Should I do differently? I don't post the wins as brags but for anyone to point out wrong plays and that I just got lucky. Will check out some of the more successful goal threads and see what works.
Flop:($0.27, 2 players) A 8 6 UTG bets $0.19, Hero raises to $0.55, UTG raises to $1.23, Hero raises to $3.27, UTG raises to $6.67, Hero calls $3.21 and is all-in

Fold pre right? Guy was a reg and they always seem to be 3betting me from the blinds. Every one of them all the time.
Then when the aggression kicked in I wasn't sure. I beat AQ, QQ, TT, 99. These guys always seem to show this much aggression so I just went for it. AK is what I thought he might have had.
BTN shows Q A (Three of a Kind, Queens) (Pre 60%, Flop 24%, Turn 89%) Hero mucks 9 T (Two Pair, Queens and Tens) (Pre 40%, Flop 76%, Turn 11%) BTN wins $9.46
I noticed I was getting tired and started sitting out when this aweful hand happened. Fold pre obviously but the guy on right was a fish and I figured if they all had picture cards I might have a good chance. When the 2nd queen came I though there's the chance he could have AK.
Flop:($0.41, 2 players) 3 A Q MP checks, Hero bets $0.35, MP raises to $0.95, Hero raises to $2.66, MP raises to $12.64 and is all-in, Hero calls $2.98 and is all-in

UTG calls $0.05, Hero raises to $0.25, BTN calls $0.25, fold, BB raises to $4.77 and is all-in, fold, Hero calls $4.52, fold
Flop:($9.86, 2 players) 4 6 Q

This was against a fish that was playing very bad, I was thinking a fold was best and try and just play better later but he had been doing it a lot and looking frustrated.
[ ] 6-8 hours of play a day
[ ] Play a maximum of 4 tables.
[ ] Beat a limit each month
That's been over 2 months and it looks like I got in about 3-5 hours at the max per day.
Spewed a tonne playing more than 10 tables at times.
Beat 1 limit so far and struggling with the current one.

I made profit of over £3000 in past 2 months (over 200 hours) playing 1/1 live. That is gone as well as my live roll! I spent it and had to pay a few unforeseen things off.
So I think a goals update for the rest of this month would be:
[ ] Get a job! A quick 2-3 month contract job would give me at least £8-12k
[ ] Put aside a roll for live poker from job and save the rest
[ ] Make a decent attempt to beat/progress at 5NL by putting in 8 hours per day with a max of 4 tables
Not making excuses for bad play but maybe a lot of IRL stuff has effected it. I seem to be tilting a lot recently.
Finally if anyone wants to sweat me over team viewer/ skype that would be appreciated. Skype name deannolan1
Slow steady progress wins the race. It sounds to me you are expecting too much too quick. Also sounds like because its NL5 you dont care and that also affects your play because you think you should be playing higher(Ive done this and it has massive affects tilt wise).
What you need to do is do whatever you can to just forget about the money and concentrate on making the best decisions you possibly can at the table. Like the calling 3bets thing, I would hazards a guess that if you folded to every 3bet at this level and only continued with the very top of your range then you wouldnt be making a big mistake.
I cant really help with the sweat thing but if you can record a session for about 30-45 minutes and get it sent to me i will get pockets of time at work where I can go over it and analyze it and see if i can help you out that way.

Yeah your definitely right. I've mentioned about the money before not meaning anything at 5NL. When 3bet what's an extra 40c right? Funny because my 2nd run at 2NL I played good and rarely called 3 bets.
Going into a session now and that's going to be my main leak to fix.
I'll look at getting some software to record a session. Thanks for that.
Just read all of Phil Galfond's well post. That has some amazing insights and inspiration in it.
